Chapter Thirty-Two

Audrey sat by the window as usual looking out to the beautiful meadow, her eyes filled with sadness.

"I have to gain his trust. How do I do that though?" She bit her lips nervously.

It's been three hours since he left, and three hours since she was locked in. Her mind was still racing fast on what to do when she heard the door click open.

She didn't turn, rather squeezed out some tears and discreetly rubbed her nose to turn pink giving her a pitiful look.

"I have to get hold of him somehow," She thought, keeping her head bowed.

Sebastian walked into the room, his eyes caught the figure by the window. He had got used to seeing her sit there and gaze out all day but the figure looked so dejected at that moment.

Audrey slowly lifted her head, her red-rimmed eyes finding him, she blinked as if trying to hide her tears further tugging Sebastian's conscience.

"I was told you didn't touch the dinner. Why?"

Audrey's mouth quivered but she said nothing, her eyes glossy with unshed tears.
