Chapter Six.

The Nightmare had finally disappeared down the hallway but none of us were still able to say a word.

I, and the girl who's name I just got to know to be Alessia remained silent till it became really awkward.

Thankfully, she broke the silence with a loud clearing of her throat.

“Thank you.” She whispered with a small smile and although I think I knew what she was thanking me for, I still opened my big mouth to question "what for?"

“For saving my head” came her response and I couldn't wrap my mind around why she is being so calm about it.

“That Man almost shot you! aren't you gonna do something???” I questioned more from shock than annoyance.

If someone had me at a near death experience, call me a crybaby but I'll be on my way to the police station by now.

“The boss doesn't like to be disobeyed and you pretty much got on his nerves” she replied and I just couldn't believe this girl.
