LOGIN"Raven, you here already?"
"Yes, Laura, it is important that i get this job." "Please sit. I'll be with you shortly." She sat in the reception as she spoke to Laura, who was busy with some files in the front desk. "Just hold on a little. Santiago will be here soon." She said as Ravenna flipped through the magazine that she found on the table. Upon lifting her face to the sound of Laura's voice. She was awestruck by the breath taking man who walked in. His long silver hair rested just above his majestic shoulders. His blue piercing eyes focused on Ravenna as he walked in confidently. He was a god without a doubt. His atheletic built body was hidden perfectly inside the white shirt that only revealed his upper chest. His cologne, strong, yet inviting. "He smells expensive." She thought to herself. She drowned herself in his absolutely charming eyes, who wouldn't love this gorgeousness in front of her. She was jolted to consciousness by several snapping of his fingers. She blinked repeatedly before responding to him.
"Hey! Are you going to be my new personal cleaner? "Yes...yes, I would like to believe so, sir." She swallowed an invisible lump in her throat."Follow me then!" He walked past her heading into his office, and she followed immediately behind him.
His office was neatly arranged with files stacked on a shelf by the left towards the window. From the incriptions on the posters on the wall, she concluded that it was a private investigative firm."So, what can I call you?"
Okay, "Ravenna Nickolas," her voice came rather shaky. He was by far one of the most attractive men she had seen... she tried to look away, but it was almost impossible because his cologne was too hard to be ignored. This part of Medellin had very polish looking men."So you will do the cleaning of only this office... what that means is nobody but you is permitted entrance to this office. You can not touch my files...yes you can keep them neat, but none of it is your business after cleaning. Are we cleared?"
His voice even though husky could pass off as her addiction. She was drooling over her new boss..."Hey Ravenna, get a grip of yourself!" She slapped herself to consciousness even though her voice wasn't audible, but the slap was. "Ravenna, are you sure you're okay?" "Yes....mr...." "Matoe, just Matoe." While he was still speaking, a man strolled into the office nonchallantly without even knocking as if he too owned the office, Matoe had no problem with it. Just a few moments ago, she could swear she had seen the most attractive person in Medellin. What she did not know was that God had only just started His creation. This man was perfect, dark hair neatly cut to perfection. He had a single scar that cut across the upper end of his eye brow, it didn't dent his beauty, infact it made him more alluring His eyes shaped like an almond and the color like that of the colombia sun, Gold mixed with brown, his aura was present, he smiled as he greeted his friend but he didn't look like one who did that often. He wore a perfectly tailored suite, a white shirt which was botton only enough to reveal the gold chain and his clean hairfree chest. He looked like a god from the fairytales she read when she was a kid. His jawline was sharp and piercing even though it accentuated his look. In all his hotness, there was a lingering danger in those charming eyes. "Matoe, you finally decided to grace us with your presence." He said with a more husky voice than that of Matoe. He gave Matoe a big hug like someone he hadn't seen for ages."Man, I have missed you a great deal. And you have missed the town's hottest happenings. But not to worry, I will keep you updated."
She was still standing right there fronzen in her spot but drooling over these men that stood right before her like gods of beauty."I have missed you so much, Ortega, and I can't wait for you to show me around town. Let's catch up as old times. Meanwhile..." he said, turning to face Ravenna.
"This is Ravenna, my personal office keeper.." Ortega's attention was drawn to her...he gave her an intense gaze; looking intently into her eyes, the kind that sent shivers down spines, it was lingering and lustful. He gaze slowly trailed her neck and then her bust all the way down to her legs, licking his lips like he was served some sort of desert he couldn't wait to devour."She looks... looks appeitizing...I can eat her up at a sitting."
She felt embarrassed by how up front he was. Her stomach tightened at the sound of that, but it was a feeling that she liked, unexplainable but suiting. "Ortega, that's my personal office cleaner!" Matoe snapped. "I know, but she is way too attractive to take my eyes off...." he was cut in track by Matoe's stern but calm voice. "Stop it, Ortega! You may leave. You resume tomorrow, Laura will let you in on all the details you will need to function effectively. Don't be late." She hurriedly left the office without a word or acknowledgement, head bent facing the floor. Laura sat at her desk. "Laura, you didn't tell me your boss was drop-dead gorgeous, and then his friend looks deadly but still one of the most attractive ismen I have seen all my life." Laura couldn't help but laugh."Hahaha... Rave those guys are way out of your league. I hope you know that? Wait, why are you sweating?"
"Yeah, yeah, I know, but what harm is there in admiring God's delibrate creation? Meanwhile, Matoe's friend couldn't get a grip of himself when he saw me... Apparently, my class isn't that low as you presume.""You mean Ortega? I have never seen Ortega wear a delibrate smile, let alone hit on a lady... Are you sure?"
"Of cause I am sure, okay...what do you call this?" Rave stood demonstrating the exact same thing that Ortega had done while she was inside Matoe's office, bitting the tips of her lips at the end of the session while both friends bursted in a boisterous laughter even though they had tried so hard to keep it in, it was pointless, because their voices still caught Matoe's attention inside his office. He walked out to check out the reason for the outburst.
"Hey girls! Is everything okay?" "Yes, Matoe, we are alright, just trying to give Raven some orientation on her role as your office cleaner." "Right about that ,make sure you don't leave anything out." "Sure, Matoe, be sure that I won't leave anything out." In less than a minute, Ortega joined the trio. "Am I missing something?""Not at all. Ortega, we should leave now... let me pick up the documents."
Matoe went into his office briefly but gave enough time for Ortega to slide his card to Ravenna while giving her the call me sign. Matoe was out in a few minutes, and they both left the premises."So you were serious about him wanting to eat you up?" She nooded frantically.
"Well, he's cute, so I can let my friend be with him." She teased "I know, but I can't shake off the feeling that there is something about him." "You're thinking too much Raven all I can see is one hell of a sexy dude who has already fallen deeply for you." "But I think I prefer Matoe. He is put together, drop dead gorgeous, and looks more responsible than Ortega." She lamented. "Let me remind you, Rave, Matoe is your boss. You work for him.""I should be leaving now before i run late for my other job."
We both know you have three more hours to play around with." She said, checking her time to make sure she was in sync. "Ohh my bad, to be more precise, you have four hours and twelve minutes before you go for your next job." She concluded. "So you have my entire schedule at your fingertips?" They both chuckled. "Are you sure it's not you I should be in a relationship with?"As Ortega stepped out of his car...he dial a number on his phone and waited for a response.
"Santiago, I sent you a name. Look her up and give me details on everything about her. Don't leave anything out." Diego instructed the person on the other end."Yes, Don, you will get it." Came Santiago's voice.
" I suspect you want to look into my new employee?" Matoe asked, looking at him with suspicion in his eyes. "Matoe, it's nothing much, just me being inquisitive... She looks really interesting." "Just inquisitive...or you want her? You don't get inquisitive about random girls on the street, do you?" Come on, Matoe, you know I am not really interested in girls like that, but something hits differently about this one. Come off it, Matoe, let's go in and have a drink."The evening came more swiftly than he had imagined.
Ortega's phone beeped, and it was Santiago. A message had popped up that made him give that cunning smile. "How small can this world be, really?" Santiago also left her phone number along with the text.Air left the room, everywhere seemed quiet, Ortega stared at her unmoving.“Rave, i am sorry....I...really am..." Ravenna turned around backing Ortega. “Ortega you promised....you promised never to hurt me like this again." Now the tears streaming from her eyes was now streaming down her eyes. I know, but i promise I don't know how that happened. I can't remember when it happened."That's even worse Ortega, who know how many more ladies have fallen prey to you. And you won't even remember what you did."Of all people you decided to ridicule me with the same lady that has always wanted you under her control. ""But I don't want her Rave, its you that owns my heart. I don't want anymore children from any other but you.He stepped forward slightly, as if closing distance between them.“but you messed that up, Ortega, you have broken me in ways that I can't put in words."“But I can correct that?""How the hell do you intend to achieve that?" She turned her eyes burning with furry...h
Here was Mariana somewhere in fhe city having fun with some crazy friends she laughed, unaware that the one thing protecting her had just shattered.Alright, let’s begin exactly where you want it.The hospital room was too white almost too quiet if not for the beeping sound that came from the monitor beside her bed.Ravenna sat upright against the pillows, fingers lightly tracing the edge of the blanket. The beepimg was steady, Calm, Stable, even though her mind wasn't as stable as her body projected.Ortega stood near the window, phone pressed to his ear. His jaw was tight. His answers were short.“Is she there? Make sure she is by the time i get home tonight. No excusses, uou know how much i hate those."He ended the call slowly. For a moment, he just stood there, staring out at nothing. Then he turned to her, his expression shifted instantly; softer, mote controlled, not emotionless, and not empty.“ Hey my wife." His face lit up when he mentioned that, he had been stopped by Rav
The rain started before Ravenna reached the front door of the mansion. It wasn’t heavy. It was just some light showers and whispering drizzle that coated the marble floors of Ortega’s estate in a dangerous sheen. The guards had retreated under the awning. The sky hung low and grey, as though it too was waiting for something to break.Ravenna stepped out of the car slowly. Her mind had been loud all evening. After Matoe’s resignation to her plea. The way he had looked at her when he said goodbye. The space he created between them, it was wide. It was painful for him to let go, but this was him saying he wouldn't be pushing any further. She was supposed to feel a sense of relief, but she didn't. She felt like something was missing. There was that hollow ache in her chest that couldn't be explained. The front doors opened before she could reach them.Ortega stood there. This had been his ritual since Ravenna decided that she was going to start working. He didn’t smile. He rarely did anym
The office smelled faintly of coffee and fresh papers; a scent Ravenna had grown strangely fond of over the past weeks it wasn't familiar, but it was indeed welcoming. Work had become home away from home, and Laura made it worth the while, even though her boss didn't quite make her comfortable because of his constant advances. Telling her husband was out of the equation because what if Matoe was right? What if he is the one that was her one true love. What if telling Ortega would foreclose the love she once had and might never get again. "Just wait till you get back your memories."At least those were the words she kept consoling herself with. She adjusted the stack of files in her arms and stepped out of the meeting room, exhaling slowly. The morning had been long, but it felt good to be useful again. Normal again. Cleaning after their mess wasn't something she made a fuss about. She somehow remembered that it was something she had done more often than not. Except that she didn't
Before Mariana could process what was happening. Ortega had chopped off his entire right arm."I am just letting you know that I did this for the fun of it back then. And when Ravenna came into my life, I wanted to be better, I wasn't trying to be a good man. I was only being a figure that she could admire. I was becoming who she could choose over and over again. I did well at that job until you came into the picture again."Mariana couldn't say a word. The fear in her eyes said all she needed to. Don Diego turned slightly to look at her, his eyes unreasonably bloody and merciless. The knife was back to his hand again. He weighed it with both his hand and eye. He turned back to face Richardson. "I would have said to take this message to Don Pedro, but....there will be no need to give him the luxury of an errand boy to deliver his message."Ravenna didn't know what her husband and sister were about, and her guard tried to keep her calm as she waited for her husband. She had a lot to
Ortega left Ravenna's room only after saying his good nights to the kids. The door shut behind him, and all the tenderness he displayed earlier with Ravenna vanished like it had never been there. It was as though he peeled off the softness and replaced it with a stone-cold man.“Giaus, get Mariana to me in the execution room. I want to teach her a lesson.”Santiago’s eyes almost bulged out of their sockets at the mention of Mariana. Giaus didn’t hesitate. He turned on his heels and headed for Mariana’s section of the mansion. Her door was locked. His fist slammed against it rashly, the sound echoing down the hallway.Inside the room, Mariana sat at the edge of her bed, paralyzed with fear, sweat beads forming on her forehead. She shivered when the banging came again.“Who the heck is that?” she shouted, her voice coated in fear—yet she shouted. The banging came again. This time, she walked to the door, placing her ear against it.“Open!” came Giaus’ husky voice. With trembling hands,
