Getting her back into my life did not feel as good as I thought it would be. The victory felt more like a loss to me. Although I had her back, I felt like I had lost something in return. I did not want to admit but it scared me when I saw the light dim in her usually bright eyes.

It terrified me because, I was responsible for what she was going through. When I had taken her back from Dwayne's territory, she had passed out from the shock, pain and stress. She was out unconscious until night fall. I might have struck her too hard but not enough to leave a mark or bruise.

I knew that she was going through some form of headache but was just proving tough. I hovered by her room listening for any sounds to see if whether she was sleeping or awake but I heard nothing. Her behavior had me worried. I was too pumped up to sleep so I stayed awake all through the night.
