I could not bear to watch her go.

I could not witness anyone leaving me again. I had sat on the sofa watching the bed that Pamela used to sleep in. A concerned Georgia, every chance she got, would come and check up on me.

I could not blame her for doing so, after the whole thing with the pistol. She was checking to see if I did not have any suicidal urge which I assured her that I didn't. However, she had insisted on checking and I agreed to keep her mind at rest.

It was going to be hell trying to live my life without Pamela, but I had been through one before. It was going to be a long road to healing from this pain I was feeling. I had begged frank to help me see her home safely. I was afraid that I would develop difficulties when it was actually time to free her.
