Raven

I wake up crying, but not because I'm sad—I'm brimming with hope! The most beautiful dream came to me at night. I met Lucy again! Heat and passion came off him in waves. My feet swayed when I saw him, and the mate-bond set fire to the rain. Lucy is alive! He was a baby dragon, weakened and unable to speak telepathically, but I felt the mate-bond.

"I have to tell Blake and Hayden!" I shout.

In a rush, I climb from my bed and pull on my jeans. I'm struggling with my zipper, but in the end, I leave it open. There are more critical things than caring about flashing your panties through a tiny hole!

As I speed past the mirror, I can tell my hair looks like a bird's nest, but fuck it—ain't none got time to wait for a snail!

I run out through the door like a lunatic, screaming and waving my hands up in the air. Luckily for me, people seem to stay clear of the village idiot, and I round the corner without anyone bumping into me.

"N
