"Did someone call for a tour-guide?" Tyler's deep voice asked as I opened up my door to him.
"Well technically Nikki did," I laughed. "But I guess I'll take you up on the offer while you're here."
"Good answer," he smiled. "You look amazing, by the way."
It was at that moment that I realised that I hadn't even remembered to change out of my sweats and sports bra. Nate had left my apartment just minutes ago, giving me time enough to very roughly clean the apartment of all of the half-empty food packets and pizza boxes. Even though Tyler knew that I had just been with Nate, the last thing I wanted to do was to rub it in, or to put my messy room on display. But in doing that, I'd completely forgotten that my attire was hardly appropriate for a platonic night out with my boss.

"Miss Carson! Over here!""Who are you with tonight, Miss Carson?""Ally Carson! This way please!"I'd never seen this many cameras in my life, let alone had so many pointing at me. It was all a little overwhelming; the flashing lights, yelling photographers and busy crowds of people moving every which way behind the metal barricades. Even on our side of the divider, teams of people all dressed up in black were running around the place directing the guests along the carpet and into the event. It was a lot to take in.Luckily, I had on my arm a guy who thrived in this sort of environment, who was born for the spotlight and a natural in front of the camera. Conner knew all his best angles and poses, and also made sure I knew mine, making the whole process that little bit less stressful for an amateur like myself.

"Oh my god," was all I could think to say as I let my eyes wander around the restaurant we'd just entered. "You weren't kidding when you said this would be fancy.""Do you like it?"
