Chp 2 Pt. 5 Inheritance
Maliyah
Since I know Aspen will not be returning anytime soon, I head downstairs to the restaurant and decide to help out. It’s actually a pretty busy night so I know having an extra set of hands will keep things running smoothly.
“Hey River, how are Summer and Katherine doing?”
“Summer has a cold unfortunately so Katherine is home with her.”
“Poor thing. Go home, I’ll lock up tonight.”
“Are you sure?”
“I’m sure. We only have a few customers left. I can handle it.”
“Thanks Maliyah. See you later.”
River gives me a quick hug before leaving. A few of the other waitresses we have are college students so I decide to send them home so they can go study for some exam they have coming up, leaving me and our cook, Hank, left.
