CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

"Am I clear?" He questioned his men. "Yes sir" each of the men responded in rhythm. 

Lucien nodded his head as if to say that's it Go and without any questions the men cleared out leaving me alone with Lucien.

Holding my chin between his thumb and finger Lucien gently pulled my gaze to his. 

"You disobeyed me. I told you to stay put for a reason. You were never supposed to see me like that." He said sternly. 

Oh shit here comes the lecture

 "I'm sorry Lucien I" but before I could finish my apology he cut me off. 

"María let me finish." He sighed. 

"You are the innocent one. Between Me, My brother and your brothers We are monsters María. You might not see it but you are the one that keeps us from completely becoming the monsters we are known to be by others" He spoke, his eyes never leaving mine.
