I nodded slowly. “Yeah,” I whispered, barely able to speak.
He loosened his grip on my wrists, but didn’t move away. My hands slipped down to rest on the bed, but I didn’t push him off. I didn’t want to.

I swallowed hard and looked up at him. “You’re not playing fair,” I said softly.
He tilted his head, his smile growing. “How so?”
“You’re distracting,” I whispered, biting my lip without meaning to.
His eyes darkened even more, and for a second, I thought he might kiss me again. My breath caught in my throat. But instead, he leaned in close—so close I could feel the warmth of his breath against my ear.
“Your turn,” he whispered, his voice low and deep. It sent shivers down my spine.
