Chapter One

“Fuck me” I moaned, tilting my head back to give him better access. His hands clamped on my waist, then moved one hand to cup my rear and the other sliding between us.

At this moment,  it was just him, me and our naked bodies… His tongue scraped the roof of my mouth as he dragged a finger down the center of me, making me gasp, my back arching.

He pathed my legs with full force and sank into me, as I moaned and arched, forcing him to speed up to a faster pace. His fingers clenched over my thigh as he thrusted harder, deeper, shafting me in long, fast strokes.

Before I knew it he was flipping me over, forcing me on my hands and knees. He brought both my hands to my back and pinned it with one hand while the other hand was being used to spank my ass.

Now I can continue this marriage knowing fully well that I am complete, that I had given my virginity to my husband.

Now, I am rest assured that there is no indifference in this marriage and we are whole.

.Exhaustion took us not long after. We fell into the sheets together, his arm draped loosely over my waist as sleep dragged me under.

Wrapped in him, certain I was exactly where I was meant to be..

Morning came slowly as sunlight pushed through the curtains. It felt warm on my face, dragging me out of sleep little by little.

I stayed there for a second, eyes closed, letting the memory of last night sit in my chest. Soft, warm. ..Jacob.

A small smile touched my lips, then something felt… off.

The scent around me wasn’t right. It wasn't the clean, familiar cologne Jacob always wore. This one was darker, stronger. Something wild underneath it.

My eyes opened slowly, as I turned, to the other side of the bed… instantly, my heart stopped. 

That wasn't Jacob; that wasn’t my husband.

The realization hit so hard it knocked the air out of me.

I stared at his face, really stared this time, and there was nothing to grab onto; no familiarity; no mistake to hide behind.

Fuck.

The air in the room felt heavier. “No,” it came out sharp, panicked.

I stumbled back from the bed, nearly tripping over myself. My heart was racing so fast it felt wrong in my chest, like it didn’t belong to me anymore.

Last night.

God, last night.

The storm, the darkness, the way I walked in already believing he was there. The way I said his name…My hand flew to my mouth.

He didn’t  even correct me… he didn't say anything…He let me.

Same height, same build… the same freaking silence, and stupid me assumed it was him.

“Oh my God…”

The words barely made it out.

I squeezed my eyes shut for a second, but it only made it worse, because now I could feel it, every second of it, every touch I thought came from  my husband.

My knees weakened.

“I didn’t know…” I whispered, shaking my head like it could undo it. “I didn’t know…”

But I had still done it, and that was the part that wouldn’t go away…. I need to get out of here… now.

 I grabbed my clothes with shaking hands, dragging them on in a rush, barely aware of what I was doing.

My phone lit up on the dressing table. It was a message from Jacob…My breath caught as I opened it.

‘Hey Gabriella, we’ll have to reschedule our meeting up at the lodge. I still have work with your father, and don’t bother going anymore,the room has been given to someone else.’

“Oh God…”

My fingers tightened around the phone.

A sharp, broken breath left me, as I scoffed. It must have failed to come in due to the storm last night.

Fuck…how stupid could I possibly be?

A whole year of marriage, and he never touched me, never looked at me like I mattered, and I ran all the way believing last night would be different.

“I’m so stupid…” I whispered.

I wanted it so badly… I didn’t question it, and now…I gave myself to a stranger.

I had given the one moment I had hoped I would share with my husband…to a complete stranger.

Behind me, he shifted in his sleep. Panic hit instantly.

I moved fast, shoving my phone away into my bag,grabbing my the rest of my things as I  rushed for the door.

I couldn’t be here when he woke up.

I couldn’t face this.

I slipped out quickly, heart racing, walking faster and faster….like I could outrun what I’d just done.

This marriage might have started off as an agreement, but I do love Jacob… he has never touched me or shown that he loved me too but he has never hurt me either.

I didn’t come here to destroy my marriage. But somehow… that’s exactly what I did.
