Duncan's POV

9:30 p.m.

This little wolf isn’t here.

I dialed her number again, jaw tightening as it went straight to voicemail. No answer. No message. Nothing.

Is she playing with me?

If she eventually gets here, I’m going to fuck her so badly she’ll beg for mercy.

The thought alone made my blood heat. I was hungry for her, aching and utterly restless.

I wanted her on me. Under me. Everywhere.

11:00 p.m.

And she still wasn’t here.

Something was wrong.

I paced the room, irritation giving way to

~Iris POVI followed Rowan down the corridor, my steps calm, but my mind wasn’t.Something was off.Not just in his words…But in the way he moved.Too quiet.Too careful.Alice walked beside me, unusually silent for once, her sharp eyes locked on her brother.“Rowan,” I said gently, “what did you do?”He didn’t answer immediately.Instead, he stopped in front of his door. His small hand hovered over the handle.“I didn’t mean to,” he whispered. My chest tightened.“I know,” I said softly. “Just show me.”He nodded. Then slowly pushed the door open. The moment it creaked wide.I froze. The room was a mess. No…Not just a mess.Destroyed.Deep claw marks ran across the walls, long and uneven, cutting through wood and stone like something wild had been trapped inside. The furniture was overturned, splintered in places. The curtains hung in torn strips, swaying slightly from the night breeze creeping in through a cracked window.Even the floor…Scratched.Marked.Scarred.Alice inhaled sha

~Iris POVThe night air was cooler than usual.I stood on the balcony, hands resting lightly against the stone railing, staring out into the dark stretch of forest beyond the estate. The wind carried the faint scent of earth and leaves, brushing against my skin like a quiet reminder that the world outside these walls was still moving… still changing.Five days.Five days without Duncan. And everything already felt heavier.Lucien is already getting on my nerves.I exhaled slowly, closing my eyes for a brief moment.Too many thoughts.Too many possibilities.Too many things that could go wrong.“Careful,” a voice came from behind me, smooth and unwelcome. “You might wear that balcony down with all that thinking.”I didn’t turn immediately.Of course.“Lucien,” I said flatly. What was she still doing here?He stepped beside me, leaning slightly against the railing like he belonged there.I finally glanced at him.“What do you want again?”He studied me for a moment, his gaze sharp, obse

~Iris POV.It’s been five days since Duncan,my Alpha, my husband, traveled.Oh, Goddess… I missed him.More than I expected.More than I wanted to admit. At night, the bed felt too large. Too quiet. No steady warmth beside me. No quiet reassurances. Just thoughts…Too many thoughts. And not all of them good. The council.Lucien.Rowan.The prophecy.Everything felt like it was shifting beneath my feet, and for the first time in a long while…I wasn’t sure where it would land.I stepped out of the bathroom, tying my towel firmly around my body, still slightly damp from the heat of the water. And froze.Mira was sitting on my bed.Just… sitting there.Watching me.Her chin rested on her palm, eyes scanning me slowly like she had all the time in the world.I blinked. Then rolled my eyes and tossed a piece of clothing at her.

~Duncan POV9 p.m.I packed the last clothes into my bag.Elder Varis had said we had to travel to confirm something about the White Wolf. I hadn’t told Iris yet.I didn’t want to bother her…Not until she showed up in my room. She was dressed in a soft, delicate piece that caught the low candlelight, her hair falling loosely over her shoulders, her presence alone enough to scatter every thought in my head.I want to drag her closer and sucked on those boobs of her peeping through.God.What was I thinking now?The White Wolf was important, I guessed.“Duncan… where to?” she asked, stepping closer, her voice calm but her eyes already searching mine.I sighed.Of course she would notice. She always did.“You’re packing,” she continued, glancing at the half-filled bag. “At night. Without telling me. That already sounds like a bad decision.”A faint smil

~Author POVThe training grounds were alive again.Morning light spilled across the wide field, turning the dew on the grass into tiny glimmers of gold. The air was crisp, cool enough to sharpen focus, but not cold enough to slow movement.Perfect conditions.Alice stood at the center of the ring, hands on her hips, golden hair tied back, though several strands had already escaped, framing her face like she had intentionally styled it that way.“I just want to say,” she announced loudly, “that if I win this, it will be very embarrassing for you.”Thorne didn’t even blink.“You haven’t started yet,” he said calmly.“That’s not the point,” Alice replied, already pacing like she owned the ground beneath her feet. “It’s about expectations. And right now? Yours are too high. I’m about to crush them.”“ You said that last week and it didn't go well.”From the sidelines, Iris watched quietly. There was the faintest smile on her lips.Alice had always been like this, bold, expressive, dramatic

~Lucien POVThe fire cracked softly in the hearth, but it did nothing to warm the room.I stood by the window, staring out into the darkened forest beyond the estate. Night had swallowed everything, the trees, the paths, even the distant lights of the training grounds. But not my thoughts. They burned.“That was reckless,” I said finally, my voice low but sharp. “Allowing that child to train so openly.”Behind me, Elder Varis exhaled slowly, the sound measured, controlled. “It was necessary. The boy must learn control.”I turned, eyes narrowing. “Control? You saw what happened. He’s six, Varis. Six. And already his wolf is pushing beyond restraint.”Varis folded his hands behind his back, calm as ever. “And yet… he stopped.”“Barely.”The word came out harsher than I intended.I dragged a hand down my face, pacing now. “You felt it, didn’t you? That surge. That pressure in the air. That wasn

~iris The phone kept vibrating in my hand, like it knew I was hesitating.Duncan.Just seeing his name pulled something loose in my chest, something I’d spent months carefully locking away. I hadn’t saved his number again. I didn’t need to. I could recognize it anywhere. Muscle memory. Emotional

~ IrisI walked out of Eunice’s office, slamming the door lightly behind me, my chest tight, and my thoughts spinning. Every time she did that, every time she smiled, leaned in, spoke that soft, deliberate voice,I felt that familiar irritation climb up my spine. It was like she thrived on the disrup

~ AliceGetting ready with Iris always felt like a small ritual. Not the dramatic kind,no loud music or chaos. just soft moments that reminded me why I liked loving her. Why it felt easy. Safe. She sat on the edge of the bed while I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the strap of my dress.Eve

~iris pov I didn’t hear Ky leave. One minute she was sprawled on her bed scrolling through her phone, the next the room was quiet again, the kind of quiet that pressed in on your thoughts. I sat there longer than I meant to, staring at the wall, replaying the morning in pieces I didn’t want to
