As Adrian pulled my hands away from him, I gazed up at him with tears of relief in my eyes.

"I was so fucking worried about you," I said, my voice shaking with emotion. "When Darius took you, I was scared. I thought I'd never see you again."

Adrian's expression softened, and he looked at me with a mixture of guilt and gratitude. "I'm okay," he said, his voice low.

I took a step closer to him, my heart still racing with excitement. "How did you get out?" I asked, my curiosity getting the better of me.

Adrian's eyes seemed to glaze over, as if he was remembering a painful memory.

"They dumped me somewhere," he said, his voice vague. "I don't remember much. Only that I opened my eyes, and Lucian and Jace were there. They saved me."

I felt a surge of happiness and excitement at the news. I didn't care that Adrian was my ex-boyfriend, or that he had betrayed me with my stepsister. All that mattered was that he was safe, and that he was standing in front of me, alive and well.

  • Marked By The Moon: Tied To The Four Alphas   48. Jace & Elias

"Won't claiming them jeopardize their secret?" I asked Elara, my wolf, my mind racing with the potential consequences.Elara's response was practical. "Maybe. But if you mark one of the alphas first, gain their trust...it could work in your favor."I sighed, feeling overwhelmed by the complexity of it all. I sat up on my bed, looking out the window. The dorm building was five stories high, and I was on the third floor. The evening light cast a warm glow over the campus, and I could see the wolf guards walking around, their movements fluid and purposeful. As I gazed out the window, I felt a sense of longing. What would it be like to be with Lucian and Caelan, to have them by my side? And what would be the cost of claiming them, of revealing our secret to the world?I didn't have the answers, but I knew one thing - I had to be careful. The stakes were high, and I couldn't afford to make a mistake."I'll have to think about it first," I told Elara, my wolf. "And secondly, I pray they don

ISLAI trudged back to my dorm, the weight of the evening's events bearing down on me. As I entered the room, I felt a wave of relief wash over me. I was finally alone. The Pack’s freshers' party was probably still going on, but I didn't care. I had too much on my mind to worry about social events. Alexandria's schemes and her push into the pool still lingered in my thoughts, making me wish I never left my room again.I picked up my cracked screen phone from the desk, a reminder of my stepmother's anger. I hadn't had the chance to repair it yet, and now I wanted to browse the internet to distract myself from my thoughts. As I pressed the power button, I expected the screen to light up. But nothing happened. The phone refused to turn on. I pressed the button again and again, but it remained dead.I sighed, frustration building up inside me. Why did everything have to go wrong? First, Adrain's strange behavior, then Eya's outburst, and now my phone was dead. It was like the universe was

  • Marked By The Moon: Tied To The Four Alphas   46. Darian’s Plan

EYA As I watched Isla walk away, I felt a pang of guilt mixed with relief. It wasn't easy pretending to be her friend, acting like I cared about her when, in reality, I didn't. My mission here was clear, and it didn't involve making genuine friends. Darian's promise still lingered in my mind - a higher title in the faction, and my brother's freedom. That's what drove me to sneak into this academy as a newcomer. If not for Darian, I wouldn't be here, pretending to be someone I'm not. I thought back to the night of the new students' arrival, the night the bus was ambushed. I remembered the sound of screeching tires, the sight of the log planted on the road, and the bus speeding to a halt in front of it. In a flashback, I saw myself, one of the beta wolves, planting that log on the road. I recalled rushing to hide, watching as the bus struggled to stop. The chaos that ensued was perfect cover for our true intentions. It was all part of the plan, a plan set in motion by Darian. My

As we walked in silence, the only sound being the soft crunch of gravel beneath our feet, I couldn't help but let my mind wander to the situation with Ruby. I was still reeling from the news that she had been poisoned with wolfsbane. Who could have done such a thing? And why?My thoughts drifted to my own problems, specifically the revelation from my wolf that Caelan and Lucian were my mates. I couldn't wrap my head around it. Two alphas? It wasn't possible, was it? Yet, I couldn't deny the strong attraction I felt towards both of them.Just thinking about Caelan's chiseled features and piercing gaze made my heart skip a beat. And Lucian... oh, Lucian. The way he looked at me, the way he touched me, sent shivers down my spine. I felt drawn to them in ways I couldn't explain. It was crazy, really. Mates were supposed to be destined for each other, but how could I be mated to two alphas? It didn't make sense. And yet, my wolf seemed so certain. As we walked, the silence between us grew

  • Marked By The Moon: Tied To The Four Alphas   44. She Was Poisoned

I walked out of Lucian's room, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside me. The almost-kiss still lingered in my mind, and I couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if Jace hadn't interrupted us. As I made my way back to my dorm, I quickened my pace, eager to get out of the hallway and process my thoughts in private. The cool air hit me as I walked, and I felt a shiver run down my spine. Once I reached my dorm, I burst through the door, relieved to be alone. I leaned against the door, letting out a deep breath. My heart was still racing from the encounter with Lucian, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that my life was about to change in ways I couldn't even imagine. I pushed away from the door and headed to my closet, rummaging through my clothes for something comfortable to wear. As I changed, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and couldn't help but smile. My cheeks were still flushed from the encounter with Lucian, and my eyes sparkled with a mix of excitem

I tried to deflect the intensity of the moment, hoping to steer the conversation back to safer waters. "Is it just me, or does it feel hot in here?" I asked, attempting to sound nonchalant, but my voice came out husky and uneven.Lucian's eyebrow arched, a hint of amusement dancing on his lips."You were just thrown into a pool an hour ago," he said, his voice laced with skepticism. "How can you be hot all of a sudden?"The flush that rose to my cheeks was undeniably embarrassing, and I felt my skin burning as he approached me, his eyes locked onto mine with an unyielding intensity. "Unless..." he mouthed, his voice trailing off, leaving the words hanging in the air like a challenge. The sight of his broad, muscular chest and chiseled abs made my heart beat faster, like a wild animal trying to break free from its cage. I took a step back, trying to create some distance between us, but my legs hit the back of a chair, and I stumbled.Lucian's reflexes were lightning-fast, and he caug
