Chapter 1

I woke up chained to the wall of a dark cell aware of two things:I failed my brother and I smell my enemy.When I'm taken to meet Asher ,the werewolf lord of the Silver Dawn pack,I'm sure about to lose my throat .The last thing I expect is for the Wolf Lord to pity me as I have injured 2 of his members ,No way is he going to let me go alive.

A few  months earlier,Laina Ricci ,a brunette ,extremely beautiful , stubborn and hardworking lived with her smaller brother Bruce Ricci in an two bedroom apartment.Laina raised Bruce as they were orphans ,their parents died in car accident on their way to Sunny Island.She and her brother was raised by the Sisters of Quiet Mercy Orphanage home.Laina was a mother figure to bruce as she finance his studies in college ,paid the bills and supply food in the house ,She was 25 years of age as Bruce was 20.Bruce needed to make his older sister proud as he wanted her to stop over working ,At times he would see the fatigue in her face and would feel deeply hurt as he knew she did this all for him.Bruce was in a pack at school as he benefited some money from the group,he barely knew the background of these kids as he needed just the money.They would bet games with other colleages  as even if they lost they would beat on them and take their money.Laina wasn't awared of these things as Bruce would hide his money and was never bruised as his pack protected him.

Laina worked two jobs,at morning she would delivered krusty pizza and at night she was a receptionist at Le Grand Hotel .There were times she would wear the uniform of her day job to her night job and had to give excuses .It was hectic and tiring but she was a strong lady and needed to work hard to substain life with her brother.She wasn't in a relationship as her previous  childhood boyfriend Luke Dawson cheated and had affairs with multiples ladies which resulted to Laina stone cold temper and been aggressive when it came to any men asking her out.She never had many friends as she prefered a small circle.Her best friends were Kristin Johns and Josh Bryan,they were her childhood friends as the met at an event held by the Sisters of quiet mercy orphanage ,Kristin was adopted as her mother died due to cancer and her father wasn't wealthy enough to raise her so he gived her up  for adoption,she talks to her father now and then while Josh wasn't an orphan,his parents were kind hearted people who enjoys  participating and  donating to the orphanage.Josh  worked as a chef at Le Grand hotel as he aided Laina with the job as a receptonist,Kristin on the other hand was a sales manager at Bloomingdales .They both wanted Laina to become a model as she was extremely beautiful and had an amazing physique,she had the length and size to fit in but she never accepted because modeling requires a lot of traveling and disadvantages to the female body,she needed to be close to Bruce as she felt he need to protect him.

It was 12 pm at night after finishing a long stressful day at work.Laina walked the streets as she was exhausted and still had  her receptonist outfit on .Unfortunately ,it wasn't her lucky day ,she was rudely attacked by a burglar ,he forcefully grab her purse but Laina was also strong ,she fought back giving him the advantage to become aggressive ,he slapped and punched her in the belly ,as she fell on the hard cold floor while  he took another kick at her back  and was about to take a pocket knife to  hurt her when there came  a quick shadow as Laina was unconscious ,she only heard sounds of flocking and whipping,Suddenly there was a scream,it didn't sounded like a human as it felt like a cry of a wolf.Laina got scared as she try to lift herself from the floor when she saw a shirtless man,his body was glazing with sweat ,he had a bit of scratches as they were not severe,his mouth was covered with blood as he give her purse ."I believe this belongs to you ",As I stared at his claws and his carnivore teeth with had a bit of flesh through them,I couldn't believe my eyes as I stood infront of a half man and a half wolf.As he walked slowly to hand over  my purse.Get away from me!  I shouted as I wanted to look tough but was weak from the kick in my belly,He quickly grabbed me in his arms as I dazed out.

The next morning,Laina woke up in the hospital bed as she slowly opens her eyes to see Bruce and Kristin,They were impatiently waiting for her to recover,"Oh my God! How are you ?" asked kristin while Bruce went to kiss her forehead and held her hand.Laina was exhausted from the night before as she worked alot and barely slept ,"I think the main thing is that she is doing okay,she should rest and later tell us what happened" Bruce kindly said.They both allowed her to rest as they kept watch over her .After 6 hours of sleep,Laina was posted out of the hospital and return home,She explained what had happened in every detail but it was hard to believe that she saw a werewolf as no one belived that they existed. "Maybe you were too unconscious to recognize the person" said Luke as Kristin and Bruce also didn't believed her .Laina knew what she saw and will  forget the image of the man that saved her life as he was in half human  and half wolf form .Laina couldn't stop picturing this man as she was great at drawing. While she picture him ,She drew a sketch completely identifying his look and reveal to her brother and friends.Kristen said that he was too hot to be a werewolf ,"maybe you were allured by his charm" she laughed gracefully. Luke on the other hand told her that she should forget about it and that the main thing that matter was she was safe now while Bruce stayed quiet as he felt  a bit of what his sister said might have been true.Laina kept the sketch in her bedroom as she hoped to meet this person again.

Few weeks passed ,Laina was feeling much better as she continue her job but never forgotten about the incident .Bruce had encounter romance with a girl at school,She was related to one of the leader in his pack,He knew trouble was gonna implode if he dated her but he loved her and she loved him.Her name was kayla as she was 2  gap ahead of him in age.Bruce and kayla would meet at a secret spot after school to have quality time together ,One day Bruce was followed by his pack as they thought he was  having an affair with a teacher .He carried roses and strawberry ice cream as it was kayla favorite .After few hours has passed,Bruce started kissing kayla as she also kissed him vigorously,Kayla started to become uncontrollable as she  dominated  Bruce ,he enjoyed her but at point she started to bite him as he slowed her down ,she pulled him over to her as Bruce was confused that a small figure girl like her had intense strength as she was petit in size.He suddenly realized that her eyes flamed with fire  as it differs from her natural eye color which was brown while he saw her teeth growing longer.Forcefully pushing her and shouting  to stop,kayla realized that she had revealed  her wolf form and quickly changed to her normal state.As she tried to expalined ,the pack arrived finding out that Bruce was actually with Danver little sister,Danver as he was the head of the  pack had mad temper and would quickly loose control.When he saw them,he ferouciously jumped on Bruce as he changed  to his wolf form tearing Bruce   t-shirt as his claws digged sharply into  the skin of his chest.  Bruce painfully screamed as he felt an excruacting pain,Kayla hurriedly pushes her brother as she grab hold of bruce and ran as fast as she could to the woods.As he glances back while been held in kayla arms,They  were no longer human as they had  all changed to wolves while   following  their leader Danver who ran towards them.Kayla ran with speed as she looses track of the pack and took Bruce to a secret hide out that only  she  was aware of .Bruce opens his eyes to find himself in an isolated cave while  kayla treated his wounded chest ."What just happened ,What,What are you" he studdinly asked .Kayla explained that she and the pack are werewolves and that they hid their identity for so many years as they were safer as a secret ,Long time ago Hunters would killed most of them as they took them as predators,The pack were her family and her brother Denver will not rest until he killed Bruce as he took Humans as molestors. "It is a long story but I have to keep it short ,as you are not safe ,My brother and his pack  will not stop until they see you dead ,We need to move somewhere safer as I am sure they are following the scent of your blood".As dazed and confused as he was ,he loved kayla regardless of what has happened,he couldn't think of a better place as he begged kayla to return him to his sister  back in the city but she was afraid that her brother will find him quicker . "I don't think that would be right ,Wait here ". She hurriedly ran as she cover the tracks and stiched his wounds as they were less blood pouring from his chest .Bruce kept talking about his sister as he needed her to be awared,Suddenly there were thudding noises as wolf growled outside,Unfortunately kayla wasn't as smart as her brother ,Denver had a strong sense of smell as he also knew the scent of his sister ,rudely attacking his sister as she tried to protect Bruce.He threw her against the wall as the other pack arrested her .Bruce couldn't run as he was injured ."You think you can molest my family as your other human friends,you will never lived to share the story". Bruce was afraid as he was dazed and couldn't speak ,he stared at the big claws and carneverous teeth of everyone that stood infront him.He fainted as this was unreal for him.Kayla begged her brother  not to kill Bruce as he wasn't aware of anything and that she truly loved him."You don't know anything about love as those humans are not to be trusted ,they slaughtered and hunted us like target,Our father was killed by their mankind". As kayla tried to explain ,Denver pulled bruce on his shoulders as he and his pack speed through the wood.

At home ,Laina worried for her little brother as he didn't arrived home ,she had called the school several times and never gotten a clear response.Instantly,The door bell rang ,feeling relieved hoping to see her brother but sadly it was Kayla.She explained as she exposes her family and her identity.Laina wasn't afraid as she had encounter a werewolf previously ."Where are they taking him,Do you know" Laina asked but Kayla told her she might know, but it was dangerous as it was no place for a  human and she could die trying to be a hero.Laina was stubborn when it came to her loved one, especially with her brother as her only family,she furiously grab kayla by the hair as she pour out a machete knife from her pocket,"I won't ask again" while having the knife to kayla throat ,Quickly ,Kayla used self defence as she escaped from Laina arms . She expressed her love for Bruce and that they needed to put the anger issues aside and work together.Kayla told Laina about the place Bruce was kept as it was called the predator chamber,they totured their enemies before they killed them as they chop their neck off .Laina wanted to leave that very moment but Kayla insisted that they leave in the morning.As they started their journey at dawn,Kayla held Laina in her arms as she ran  faster than a car. Laina hardly slept at night as she was worried about what may have happened to her brother ,she was afraid that she will not make it in time to save him  .Meanwhile at the chamber of predators,Bruce was chained to the walls as he laid unconsciously,Immediatey a splash of water came on his face as he gasped for air.A muscular werewolf grinned at him as he punches him towards  his wounded chest ,he pleaded  as he felt intense pain .A group of werewolves entered as they totured him without allowing him to speak.While Laina arrived to Silver Dawn  ,the town of the werewolves,She wored a scarf to cover her hair as she also  wore a pair of  jeans and a baggy t shirt along with a converse.Laina made her way to the chambers with kayla as she was covered and protected.They were sure as stupid as they went as two girls against thousands of werewolves.As they passed through the gates of the chambers and made their way through each cell  ,they searched for Bruce.Laina instantly heard the screams of her brother as she couldn't stay calm ,she yelled "Bruce! Bruce! Oh my God Bruce! I'm here" as she had revealed her identity.Along came running  three werewolves as they strikinly attacked them,"Kayla,how could you bring a human into our town"as they harshly fought,Laina  could also fight as she knew a little bit of karate ,she used self defense as she fought back  a werewolf,she had a silver necklace that was a weakness to werewolf, the silver weaken his strength  as she stabbed his leg , jumping on another wolf that was fighting kayla ,he notices her necklace and he strugginly grabbed and pulled  it from her neck but Laina had already stabbed him in the chest before he could have done that .As they ran towards the sound of Bruce,more werewolves followed them as they couldn't make it in time.The werewolves got ahead of them as they grabbed Laina and kayla."No! Please! Bruce! Bruce! ".There was a intense  pound in her head as Laina felt to the ground completely dazed out .
