Chapter 12

Asher and Liana went back out to the fence, arriving just as the sheriff’s car pulled up. There were several werewolves gathered there looking at the car . The deputy, who got out, was also a large man ,he deputy was flabby.

“Hello ,” he said as he came around the car.

"My we help you sir ?" Asher asked quickly.

"Well my dog got off his leash and ran far from my route and was wondering if you did encountered him? ",The sheriff said.

“This lady was out running. I heard her scream and came out to see what the problem was. I got there just as the dog sprang at her. I was working on a spear at the time and just carried it out with me. I was just in time to catch the dog in mid-air with the spear,” Asher told the deputy..

“Damn,” the deputy said, “this is the third dog attack this week, and he sure looks like the description give by the others that were attacked, too. The doctors and vets suspect rabies. I guess they’ll be able to check the carcass for that.” Then turning to Asher
