“Fabian, What's going on?” Lillian asked in panic.

The sun was setting. She cannot spend one night more in this dungeon. This is the only time she wished her father was alive. He would never allow his children be treated this way.

Just one day at the royal dungeon and Lillian was already looking a living corp. Black circles surrounded her eyes, under her eyes were bags, showing she hadn't slept since she was thrown into the dungeon.

She hasn't received shock ill treatment in her entire life. Still, no one was saying anything. Lucien wasn't speaking, Lucy wasn't doing anything and Fabian was just coming to visit her now.

“Ask your traitor of a brother.” Fabian replied bitterly.

He had no say back at the council. He hated the feeling. His heart was heavy, his eyes shone in disbelief and hatred for Lucien.

Lillian rolled her eyes, hearing her brother's name.

“Can you stop talking about that weakling?” She hissed. “If there is anyone that can help me, Fabian, it is you.”

  • Marked by Moon Fire   More than one person must die tonight

Nyssa made her way to the dungeon where Trisha was locked up. While Lucien and Lucy thought she was heading for the royal dungeon first to release Lillian, Nyssa had other plans. Lillian would stay until she had finished with the commoners. The guards by the dungeon frowned when they saw her. Who was she, and why would she come without someone from the pack house permitting them to let her in? “I am here in the name of the Alpha, king of the West,” Nyssa announced clearly, but that earned a long hiss from the guards. She ignored her like she wasn't in front of them and continued to play the game of cards. Nyssa narrowed her eyes. The silence stretched until a third guard appeared.“What is going on here?” He asked, seeing Nyssa out with the other two guards. “This woman thinks we just let anyone into the dungeon. Claiming she is from the king himself.” One of the guards hissed. The other laughed. The new arrival froze. The guard's fingers trembled slightly seeing his fellow co

“I can't believe you.” Alice's eyes were wide and her mouth almost touched the ground in shock. Papa Ganda had told her the news that Nyssa was now living in the same chamber that the old Queen Luna used to live in. “Nyssa, if that place was locked up even from the current Alpha, are you sure it wasn't for a cause? Should you be there?” Nyssa didn't respond. Her lazy eyes darted from Papa Ganda to Alice. She came here to seek their advice on what Lucy had said but they kept deliberating on the same matter. “If things had gone according to the plan of the moon goddess, I am supposed to be the owner of that chamber.” Nyssa said casually, “I decide to make it mine now until the Alpha is killed, why is that a problem?” She asked. “It is a problem because it is forbidden.” Papa Ganda almost barked. He pinched the space between his brows. Nyssa was giving him a headache. Ever since he gave her the message from the moon goddess, she had been really stubborn. This was definitely not th

“Partners?” Nyssa asked.Lucy nodded, and Nyssa snickered. She shook her head slowly and steadily before asking, “Haven't you heard the saying that a wolf walks alone?”Lucy locked gaze with her, “The last time I heard, you didn't have a wolf.”Nyssa's jaws clenched, gaze sharpened.Lucy knew she had struck a chord there.“Are you sure?” Nyssa asked. She knew she didn't have a wolf. Even after her resurrection, she still couldn't reach for her wolf. She found out she had other abilities, which included talking to normal wolves and walking in fire without getting burned. But she didn't understand why a she-wolf like herself would remain wolfless.“You can always prove me wrong,” Lucy responded. She waved her left hand across the room, “This is the royal pack house. Every room was built to accommodate even the largest wolf; you can transform here. I bet the room would be able to take her.”Silence followed.Nyssa didn't speak for a while, gathering her thoughts together while Lucy arche

One hour? Two?Three?Nyssa didn't know how long she sat on the floor crying after Lucien left. All she knew was that the night had come to play before her eyes again.“That night… I saw you dead. I burnt your… lifeless… body.”His words played in her head over again.Lucien was the one who set her on fire.Nyssa sniffed. Her eyes lingered on the broken vase as his words continued to play in her head.“There was a siege. I was injured, and a lot of us were. Then, I saw you—you were standing there. Watching me die.”‘Foolish Alpha,’ she clicked her tongue. ‘Wasn’t I dead when your siege happened?’ she wondered.“There will be more deaths,” she murmured to herself. “And I'll start from the royals.”She sniffed and finally decided to pick herself up and stop crying. She has a lot to do, and crying doesn't help her get rid of Lucien and everyone he holds dearly. And she would start from Princess Lillian with the wide mouth. She crawled to the area where the broken vase was shattered and b

  • Marked by Moon Fire   Opening up.

Lucien barged into his chamber feeling uneasy. He shut the door before resting his forehead against it. Her words echoed in his ears again, “I will rip your heart out…”“I would make sure to burn you back to hell…” His throat tightened, eyes burned with unshed tears, his jaws clenched– he hit his fist against the door hard. With an uneven breath, he struggled to keep his fury within him, but couldn't. A groan was about to erupt in his throat when he heard a feminine voice from behind him. “Are you okay?” He froze. Lucy. He slowly turned around to find her standing at the center of his chamber. Her eyes were wide and uncertain with questions she could not answer. Lucien looked down at himself, covering his guilt,“I'm alright,” he answered, his voice raw and distant. Then he looked at her, “What are you doing here?” Lucy gulped. She had been searching for Fabian but couldn't find him, then she went in search of Nyssa but still didn't know where she was, so she decided to come t
