Lincoln's POV

This house is peaceful. I really like it here, the quiet lap of the water and the way the light dances on the lake. Despite the fact that there are usually four of us here, it's tranquil and quiet.

I stare out over the railing of the veranda, out towards the waterfall. The deep ache in the centre of my chest is momentarily forgotten, until the golden bond connecting me to Zahra twangs painfully, dragging my focus back to her absence.
