We were at the shore where our submarine was kept. Lexa was excited to see a submarine. She only saw ones on TV, thoughtless of entering her personal one.
Lexa’s life slowly changed since Elliot entered it. Her life was boring and pathetic. She knew that something important was missing in her life from the day she entered High school. She always wondered why she was different, why she wasn’t like the rest.
She knew why. She was never complete. Her mate wasn’t in her life then. She always knew that an important part of her was missing. She became complete the first day she met him.

Elliot talked to the man in charge of the submarine. Lexa stood beside them, waiting for the discussion to end.

Elliot's POV Lot slowly circled Liam, with the tongue in his hand, waiting for the first strike from him. Lot always did that. Liam was also playing safe and waiting for me to act. Since demons weren't nearly as patient as angels, especially not Lot, he attacked. Lot sped and pounced on Liam. His mouth watered as he tried to use the weapon to remove Liam's eyeballs but Liam used his strength to push him backward as he jumped back on his feet. Liam ran to Lot as two swords magically appeared in his hands. He pierced the swords through Lot's skin. Since Lot had no emotions he could not feel the pain but I was. Lexa's POV I had a terrible feeling about staying outside. It felt as if every evil spirit in there was watching me. I had no control over my magical powers and Elliot wasn't by my side, as much as I wanted him to be. I felt like a naked girl in the middle of Timesquare. I needed somewhere to hide. I looked around me and found nothing. The trees weren't going to be of much help. I was afraid of walking into the darker part of the forest, especially when I was an angel, but it was the only choice I had. I left the ruins of the cottage and the spot Elvador once sat and went towards the inner part of the forest. It was darker, eerie and more concentrated with evil spirits. I could hear their cries and feel the pain of many lost unsettled lives. I had a feeling that once I entered, there was no coming out.
