Chapter 4

Arpita's condition was no less than Aditya. On one side, after knowing about her, Aditya was eager to meet her whereas on the other side, Arpita was anxious and comprehensive about this relationship. Due to this, she couldn't sleep properly last night and on top of that, she has to tell her decision to her parents this morning.

She was confused what to think while getting ready for office. Office! She wondered what Sameer sir and Mansi mam would be thinking about her. How will she face them now? If this alliance doesn't work out then will it affect her career?

She was engrossed in these thoughts when she heard a knock on her room's door and shortly after that her brother and sister-in-law entered greeting her with bright smiles on their faces.

Suchita sighed looking at Arpita's facial expression : What happened Aru? Thinking something?

Arpita shrugged : Just about the match Awantika aunty suggested yesterday. Nothing else bhabhi....

Rajveer : Have you thought about it?

Arpita : Yes bhai but then I am confused. I mean if Mummy Papa are confident about it then I don't have any objection in it but what if it doesn't work out? He is Sameer sir's nephew bhai. Will it indirectly affect my career?

Rajveer : Aru I and Suchi have a feeling that Aditya will be perfect for you. Awantika aunty is Mummy's close friend and she won't suggest if she is not so sure of it. And as far as your job is concerned then I think Sameer sir will be professional enough to not bring personal matters in between your work. You are a great employee of Dreamscape so don't worry. Have confidence in yourself.

Suchita : Your brother is right Aru. Just be yourself whether it is in personal life or professional. Don't overthink alright and whatever you decide we will be with you ALWAYS!!

Arpita gave a side hug to Suchita : Thanks bhabhi..

Rajveer ruffled her hair chuckling : Get ready and meet us at dinning table for breakfast.

Arpita nodded and Rajveer- Suchita left her room. She tied her hair in high pony, applied strawberry lip gloss, eyeliner and took a glance at herself in mirror. She closed her eyes and prayed to God to guide her. Picking her bag, she left to join her family.

Vinay was making Riva drink her formula milk whereas Mohini and Suchita were setting the table. Arpita went near her father and wished him good morning picking Riva up in her arms and giving a chaste kiss on Riva's bubbly cheeks making her giggle.

Arpita cooed : How is my angel doing today? Drinking milk from grandpa hmmm.....

Riva was not understanding a word what her bua was telling but seeing Arpita's cute expressions, she giggled joyfully. After making her finish her milk, Arpita placed Riva in her crib with a soft bunny toy which was Riva's favourite to play and joined others for breakfast.

Mohini : So Aru what have you decided beta?

Arpita looked at her brother and sister-in-law and they both blinked their eyes in reassurance. She turned towards her mother and said : I am ready to go ahead for this match Mummy.

Mohini exclaimed cheerfully : Really beta?

Arpita nodded with a small smile.

Vinay : This is your own decision right dear? You sure you are not saying yes just for us?

Arpita : Yes Papa it's my wish because I trust your and Mummy's choice so go ahead with this....

Mohini : Ohh Arpita you made us so happy. I will call Awantika today itself.

Rajveer : Ok Mummy we are getting late for hospital. You done Suchi?

Suchita : Yup let's go. Bye everyone see you in the evening..

Vinay : Bye beta have a nice day....

Rajveer and Suchita went to Riva's crib where Rajveer picked her up and kissed her tiny hands : Good bye my angel. Papa and Mama are going for work. Don't trouble grandpa and grandma ok! We will see you in the evening.

Then Suchita took her in her embrace and kissed her forhead : Bye my little love. Mama will miss her baby. Be good ok.

Handing her to Mohini, they both left for work. Soon Arpita also left for her work kissing her parents and niece goodbye.

Mohini called Awantika as soon as Arpita left for work.

Awantika: Hey Mohini good morning!!

Mohini : Good morning Awantika. I have a good news. We are ready to meet Singhania family. Arpita said yes!!

Awantika : Hey that's such a great news. I will call Aditya's mother right away and arrange the meeting ASAP.

Mohini : Sure let me know when they want to meet.

Awantika: Ok will call you later bye...

Mohini : Bye take care!!

Vinay : What did Awantikaji said Mohini?

Mohini : She will talk with Aditya's mother and arrange our official meeting very soon.

Madhu was reading newspaper when her phone rang. A smile automatically appeared on her lips seeing Awantika calling. She quickly prayed to God before picking up the call hoping to hear a positive response.

Madhu : Hello Awantikaji...

Awantikaji : Hey Madhuji...Hope I have not disturbed you??

Madhu : Not at all!!

Awantika : Actually I have a great news for you. Nanda family is also ready to go ahead with this alliance. They wanted to know when can official meeting be arranged?

Madhu beamed in happiness and said a silent thank you to God : That's nice. Umm let me talk to everyone at home and then I will get back to you!!!!

Awantika : Sure no problem. I will pass on your message to Mohini. See ya....

Madhu : Ok meet you soon....

Madhu excitedly called Mansi and Akshara and told them about her conversation with Awantika. They both were happy to know and Akshara called Vikas to inform the same.

Vikas was in the middle of his OPD rounds when his phone rang

Vikas : Yes Akshu....

Akshara : Busy?

Vikas : Hmm... anything important?

Akshara : Umm  mom called and informed that Nanda family has also said yes and want to meet us soon...

Vikas : Really!! That's such a good news!! I will talk with Veer regarding this during lunch!!

Akshara : Ok then carry on with your work. See you at home..

Vikas : Hmm love you bye

Akshara : Love you too...

Rajveer was heading for lunch alone as Suchita was busy in a surgery when Vikas entered his cabin.

Vikas : Can I come in?

Rajveer : Arey Vikas come in. You don't need permission to enter my cabin buddy!!

Vikas grinned : I know. Was just making sure you were not preoccupied... It's lunch time. Where is Suchi?

Rajveer : Busy in emergency delivery. Had lunch?

Vikas : Naah let's go. I am hungry!!

Rajveer : Come..

While having lunch, Vikas started the conversation

Vikas : You know we got a marriage proposal for my brother two days back..

Rajveer : Really!! Even we got a marriage proposal for my sister yesterday...

Vikas smirked : And you know whose proposal we got?

Rajveer frowned : Who??

Vikas : Your sister Arpita!!

Rajveer was taken aback for a moment and said after few seconds : Ohh that's why me and Suchi felt something familiar when we heard about your family. So Aditya is your younger brother?

Vikas : Yup!!

Rajveer : Well then I am relaxed now knowing it's your family. We are ready to proceed further with this match...

Vikas : Even we are ready Veer. I am pretty confident Adi and Arpita will be suitable for each other..

Rajveer : Me too!! Umm if you don't mind Vikas I want to say something..

Vikas : Ofcourse buddy say..

Rajveer : Actually it's Arpita's first time and she was really nervous so I was thinking will it be ok if we can arrange a casual meeting for Aditya and Arpita somewhere outside. I mean if they two will meet without full family for the first time then they will be more comfortable in talking and knowing each other. What's say??

Vikas : I agree with you. And if things go smoothly then our families can also meet and Adi and Arpita will again get a second chance to meet each other. Even Adi wanted to have a casual meeting first time....

Rajveer : Great then how about tomorrow evening after work?Arpita will be free by 6pm..

Vikas : Good I will ask Adi to wrap up his work by 6 and then we can meet. I and Akshu will accompany Adi...

Rajveer : Even me and Suchi will also come with Arpita so that she don't feel nervous. But where will we meet??

Vikas thought for a while and then said : How about Cafe Baraco?? It's in between Adi and Arpita's office.

Rajveer grinned : Perfect! Aditya and Arpita can have their own talk whereas we four can catch up with our lives. It's been long since we all four met.

Vikas : Yeah after Suchita's delivery and due to Akshu's pregnancy we have not met apart from hospital..

Rajveer : So tomorrow's meeting final?? I will inform about this at home

Vikas : 100 percent final. Chal I need to get back to work now. See you...

Rajveer : Me too.. bye..

On the way to home, Rajveer told Suchita about his and Vikas's conversation. Suchita also agreed and thought tomorrow's meeting would be hassle-free for Arpita.
