Memories of Past

Kelvin was sitting in a luxurious office chair, at a meeting that was in progress. The screen in front of him showed the presentation of his employees about the marketing products they would be shipping in the next few months. The sunglasses never left his face even though he was in a conference room.

The meeting has been going on for three hours and there was no sign of Kelvin to end the session. Everyone in the room felt very tired, but not a single person dared to complain in front of him.

Everyone in the room was aware that their boss was in a bad mood. They all knew Kelvin as a boss who was very cruel and strict. Kelvin demanded the best performance from his employees and also rewards them accordingly. But he also did not hesitate discard his employees if they made mistakes or failed to meet up to his demands.

Even though Kelvin was currently unable to see, as they all thought. None of them dared to underestimate him. With or without his eyes, Kelvin was the same as before.

Kelvin's hand tapped the table in front of him, a sign that he was not satisfied with the work shown by his subordinates. Drops of sweat started rolling down everyone's forehead, despite the fact that the room was cold.

Harris was standing behind Kelvin, along with several other bodyguards. He felt the cellphone in his pocket vibrate, indicating that he has a message. He read the message at a glance. Then, he immediately bent over closer to Kelvin's ear and whispered something to him.

Hearing what Harris said, Kelvin immediately stopped the ongoing meeting.

"The meeting is adjourned." He said coldly, before exiting the room.

After Kelvin and Harris left the room, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Some of them leaned on their chairs, looking exhausted and scared too.

They were saved!

Meanwhile, in Kelvin's office; Harris read the message he just received to Kelvin. The messaged contained information about Luliyah.

Kelvin's office was located on the 25th floor, the top floor of the Williams Group Building, dominated by black, white and gray. A large black workbench against a tall window that overlooked the road.

The window was always left opened without a curtain, making the room bright with sunlight. Unfortunately, after Kelvin's accident the window was permanently closed. The gray curtains never opened, not even a hint of sunlight could peek into the office. The monochrome colored room looked even more gloomy without any lighting from the sun.

Luliyah Parker.... 20 years of Age.

The only daughter of Martins Parker and Diana Lovey. Martins Parker was the CEO of Park Group, while Diana worked as a perfume maker.

They both divorced when Luliyah was ten years old. After that, Martins married for the second time to a woman named Mona Koffi, who already had a daughter; Natali.

After the divorce of her father and mother, Luliyah lived with her mother in a small and simple house. However, three years ago, her mother had a heart problem which caused her to fall into coma.

As expected by Kelvin, last night's incident had something to do with Natali Parker.

Last night, Luliyah met with Natali with the hope that she would be willing to lend her money so she could pay for her mother's hospital bills. Unfortunately, Natali didn't intend to help her. Instead, she used Luliyah to free herself from the arranged engagement with Kelvin.

Natali was quite smart. All the CCTV footage in the hotel corridor was deleted by her. She already shared money to all the people she ordered to keep their mouths shut, so she thought her plan was neatly done.

But the woman didn't realize who she was facing. Nothing was impossible for Kelvin Williams.

Kelvin could offer more money than Natali offered. If money didn't work, Kelvin still had a thousand and one ways to get the witnesses to speak up.

One of the servants who brought Luliyah to his room admitted that it was Natali who was the mastermind behind everything. Natali deliberately drugged Luliyah's drink. Later, Natali ordered the two servants to take Luliyah into his room.

Kelvin listened to the report with a blank gaze, making Harris unable to guess what his boss was really thinking.

To be honest, Harris was surprised by his boss's current attitude. While working for Kelvin, he never saw his boss behave like this. Kelvin has never shown any attraction to a woman.

So far, his life has always been occupied with work, work, work. Even after the accident, when his eyes became blind, Kelvin still immersed himself with work, 'as if he was trying to escape from the world.'

This was the first time Kelvin asked him to seek information a woman. What exactly made his boss so attracted to this woman?

"Tell Agi to bring Luliyah to this place. I want to meet her." Kelvin said as he waved his hand, telling Harris to leave him alone. Harris immediately left the office to carry out Kelvin's order.

Kelvin rubbed his face with his hands, hoping it could erase his bad mood.

Kelvin's memories returned to the hotel room he left in the morning, The room where he spent his most beautiful night and also the room where his joy wore off.

Luliyah ... That woman ...

The woman didn't recognize him ....

On the other hand, Kelvin could not wipe away Luliyah's face that was stuck in his mind.

Her long black hair that was hung down beautifully. Her dark eyes were black, drowning her in his sight. Her white face blushed so easily. The dimple on her right cheek that popped up when she smiled. Her tiny lips were reddish like a cherry.

Kelvin could not forget the image from his brain. Especially when Luliyah's long hair spread over his bed, her lips parted slightly as she fell asleep.

But why did Luliyah not recognize him?

Kelvin still remembered very well, a look of sadness and disappointment appeared on Luliyah's face when she found out that the two of them had spent the night together. That expression seemed to destroy Kelvin's excitement, making his day really bad.

Kelvin also remembered the time when Luliyah looked at him in confusion, as if she didn't know the man she was with the whole night. As if that day was their first meeting.

A suspicious expression appeared on Luliyah's face when Kelvin said her name, while she couldn't even recognize the man in front of her.

What really happened to her? Is Luliyah just pretending not to recognize him?

Kelvin's hands brushed his hair carelessly, making his neat hair a little messy. But he didn't care at all.

Only one thing he thought of at the moment. It just couldn't leave his head.

"Why don't you recognize me, Luli?"
