Christopher’s POV

I had just stepped out of the Range Rover when a man approached me, nodding respectfully—Sergio Ramos, my personal assistant. Afterward, I walked calmly from the company lobby toward the long corridor lined with doors labeled with the names of each division’s offices. I strode with composure but exuded authority as I passed through the main entrance of the ALX Skyscraper Building. This building served as the hub of all the businesses I managed—the heart of my entire operation. The core company specialized in building luxury yachts—a front to conceal my true identity and my main enterprise.

With every step I took, everyone who saw me nodded respectfully. Their deference was something I ignored as I walked indifferently, pretending not to notice any of them. This happened every day I came to the office and would never change. I didn’t have the time or patience to acknowledge them constantly.

It had been a week since I last walked through this corridor. Over the past week, I had been preoccupied with my other business—the one that prevented me from revealing my true self. And to close a week full of danger and bullets, I ended the weekend by visiting a gambling den.

Well, at least I got something interesting from just a few hours of gambling.

“I’d like to inform you that the woman you selected has arrived.”

I raised an eyebrow while continuing to walk toward the private elevator designated for me, which would take me to the top floor—a special access only granted to a select few. Naturally, I was at the top of that list.

“Where is she?”

“I’ve asked her to wait in your office.” Sergio Ramos, a Spanish man who had been my personal assistant for over seven years, bowed briefly. Among the thousands of employees working in this skyscraper, only a select few were allowed to walk near me and speak to me directly. Sergio, of course, had that privilege as he managed every aspect of the luxury yacht business.

Speaking of Spain, my mind wandered to the woman of Spanish descent with a figure like a Greek goddess, whose photo I had seen earlier. Her sensual lips were the first thing that caught my attention. Most importantly, she had green eyes.

The one thing I wanted to confirm was whether those green eyes were real or fake.

“Alright. Take care of the secretary recruitment, Sergio. We need someone to organize my schedule,” I said firmly as the elevator doors opened, revealing the luxurious lobby—the quietest place in the 47-story skyscraper.

“Certainly, Sir. HR has informed me that interviews are scheduled for today, and they’ve already shortlisted suitable candidates.” Sergio nodded respectfully as I exited the elevator alone, heading toward the grand door at the end of the long lobby.

There was an empty desk in front of the office door, and I couldn’t remember the last time it had been occupied since my previous secretary resigned. Maybe I had been too harsh when scolding her, leaving her without the courage to return to work.

Ignoring the desk, I opened the door to my office and found a woman waiting inside, greeting me with a smile.

“It’s nice to meet you, Mr Alexavier,” the woman said, smiling again. “I’m here to discuss something important with you. Of course, I’m also here to please you.”

Everything unfolded naturally, as if the woman already knew exactly what to do the moment I arrived.

I closed my eyes as I felt her hand move down between my thighs—releasing something that had hardened since I saw her approaching me. Her delicate fingers gently caressed me, and her rosy lips delivered a fiery touch with her tongue as she began to lick every part of me.

Once again, this was shaping up to be an enjoyable week.

“What’s your name?”

“Esmeralda,” she replied, her soft movements striking my most sensitive points. She smiled as I grabbed her hair, pushing myself deeper into her mouth.

“Your green eyes are fake.”

“At least I have green eyes.” She tried to pull her lips away to respond, but, of course, I didn’t let her pause for long.

Her clothes remained perfectly in place, but I didn’t feel the need to bother removing anything. I only sought a quick release after the maddening frustration I experienced in my hotel room last night. One thing I still couldn’t believe was that I managed to hold myself back all night while a half-naked woman—my wife, whom I had married just hours earlier—lay sleeping in my bed.

“Argh,” I pulled Esmeralda’s hair, drawing her head back—guiding her movements to match my rhythm as I began to lose myself to her tongue’s motions.

“Just go faster,” I said. I reached out and slipped my fingers into the low-cut dress she wore.

Naturally, Esmeralda had come prepared. She wasn’t wearing a bra.

I could feel her clearly. I was about to reach my peak with just her tongue and mouth.

She was right. It didn’t matter if her green eyes weren’t real—I wasn’t making love to her eyes, but…

“Mr Alexavier, I’m Cassandra Ainsley—”

Everything stop for a moment.

Esmeralda's movements stopped, the wave of passion that had overtaken me ceased, and time itself seemed to halt for a moment.

“What the hell are you doing, bitch?!” Esmeralda looked up angrily.

Her voice was the only sound breaking the silence between us.

Meanwhile, I relished the shock on the face of the woman who had just barged into my office. Her face turned red as she realized she had seen something she wasn’t supposed to see.

Damn. I could see her green eyes staring sharply, and I could swear those eyes were real.

She wasn’t wearing contact lenses, and her green eyes were crystal clear even from a considerable distance.

The documents she had been carrying fell to the floor, creating the second sound to break the silence, following Esmeralda’s frustrated yell.

Cassandra Ainsley Floyd.

That name echoed in my head again, and I swore her green eyes were the only thing I could see. I could still remember everything that happened last night, including the fact that this woman had left me sleeping when we were on the verge of intimacy. However, last night, I hadn’t paid much attention to her eyes. I knew she had beautiful green eyes, but my passion had overshadowed any such details.

“Get out of here and close the door. Judging by your reaction, you’re not going to like what I’m about to do next.” I spoke calmly.

Realizing the situation, Cassandra quickly turned and left without saying a word. She walked briskly and slammed the door shut, causing Esmeralda to curse under her breath.

“Is she insane?” Esmeralda grumbled in Spanish, a language I understood perfectly.

But her voice couldn’t distract me as I kept staring at the door that had just closed after Cassandra exited.

This had never happened before; no one had ever dared to enter my office without permission. After all, the door was always locked, and I had to unlock it with a special button on my desk.

Unfortunately, I had forgotten to press the lock button because Esmeralda had immediately greeted me upon entering—pampering me with her sensual lips and tongue.

“Don’t go too fast,” I murmured softly, pushing Esmeralda away when she reached for me again.

“What’s wrong? Did I do something wrong?”

I lowered my head, fixing my pants and adjusting my shirt.

I had lost count of how many times I had engaged in intimate acts in this office with various women. I had always desired a woman with green eyes. Green-eyed women drove me crazy. And now, I had found the green-eyed woman I wanted.

“I don’t like your fake eyes.” I tossed a wad of cash onto my desk, signaling that I no longer wanted Esmeralda there and that our game was over.

“What?” The woman furrowed her brow. “You’re having sex with my vagina, not my eyes, Mr Alexavier.”

I wasn’t offended by her question.

Hell, who was she to have the audacity to ask me such a thing? But since she had asked, wasn’t it only right that I give her an answer?

“Or do you want me to destroy your eyes and give you naturally green ones instead of those contact lenses?” My voice turned colder and sharper than before.

Esmeralda clearly noticed the change. She immediately grabbed the money from the desk and looked at me hesitantly before saying, “Mr. Bennedict sent me to deliver information about the drug shipment to Southeast Asia. He wanted to thank you for the successful delivery and the significant profits your business earned.”

I snorted at her words.

Well, of course, he would say that. Not many drug lords could ship goods to Southeast Asia, as the region wasn’t fully open to drug networks. However, I had managed to break through, establish my market there, and tighten my grip on the area—making me the sole mafia in power.

“Ben should know better than to send any kind of gift to my office. My work as his business partner isn’t conducted here. This is the place where everyone knows me as Christopher, not C19.”

“I didn’t understand,” Esmeralda said with a frown. “I was just delivering Mr. Bennedict’s message. And about my eyes—I heard you only sleep with women with green eyes.”

“And women who don’t talk much,” I added. “You can leave now and go back to Benn. Tell him I won’t be working with him anymore because he sent you to me. He can choose to forget our agreement or go to war with my clan. I suggest the second option.”

Esmeralda’s expression changed instantly. She had stood confidently in her low-cut dress and fiery red heels, but my words immediately brought her to her knees—begging fearfully.

“Please don’t do this to us. Mr. Benn won’t let me live if he knows I caused this.”

“Oh, of course not, Esmeralda.” I looked at her disdainfully before grabbing her hair and pulling it back to force her to look at me. “I’m not doing this because of you. How could you flatter yourself so much? I’m doing this because I want to.”

After saying that, I stood up and walked toward my office door—ignoring Esmeralda’s loud cries and pleas.

Damn. I hated those fake green eyes.

And damn, I hated what I saw when I opened my office door and found Cassandra standing hurriedly, her head bowed in respect as if she didn’t know what else to do to avoid my gaze.

Too late.

Of course, it was too late for her to act because I swore I had already seen her green eyes, even if just for a brief moment.

Shit, she had brilliant green eyes, and I still remembered how those eyes looked at me last night.

Double shit, she had green eyes, and I wanted to fuck her.

Triple shit, my phone rang, and I saw a message. I couldn’t stop glancing between my phone and Cassandra when I read it.

Franco Thomas A: Can I ask for your help? A woman named Cassandra Ainsley Floyd is coming for an interview at your company. She has green eyes and blonde hair. Give her the best position there. She’s my favorite.

What the hell is going on here?

I admit I would never pass up a chance to talk about her.“Is that a bad thing, Mom? My mom passed away when I was a kid, so I didn’t know what to do when I fell in love.”“That’s the best thing. I’m sure your mom raised you very well so that you turned out like this. Cassandra is very lucky to marry you.”“I’m sure you didn’t say that at my wedding a year ago?”Today, I decided to have a second wedding and throw a reception inviting many people so that everyone knew that Cassan

Cassandra’s POVEverything in my mind went blank the moment I saw what Rebecca had done. The gun in her hand was enough proof that she had more power over me, and I couldn’t do anything to fight back. Even if I screamed, no one in this hospital could help me. By the time help arrived, the bullet would have already gone through my head."Rebecca," I whispered."I told you, I trained with them, and my shots never miss, Cassie.""You’ve lost your mind," I raised my hands in disbelief. "There’s no benefit for you in this, Rebecca. Instead, you’ll only get yourself into trouble.""You think I care about that? I’ve been used to trouble since I was a girl!""But now you have Bailee. You can’t get yourself into trouble when that girl only has you."Rebecca’s eyes shifted when I mentioned Bailee’s name. But moments later, she cursed indifferently. "To hell with everything. Regardless of the facts between Chris and Bailee, I had no right to interfere. I cared about that child, and now I felt a little worried."How is Bailee?""She’s inside the car because it’s not possible for her to come down and meet you here."I thought she said she wanted me to see Bailee one last time."After we talk, you can meet her, Cass.
