LOGINAliyah
After crying until my throat was raw and my eyes burned, I slowly dragged myself from the couch. My body felt numb, like it was no longer mine. I bent down and picked up the divorce papers. There is nothing left for me here. I looked around the living room one last time, the place where I once dreamed of building a family, and all I could feel now was emptiness. It's time to leave, not just for me… but for the tiny heartbeat growing inside me. I pulled the papers close to my chest. I was ready to sign them, end this chapter and begin again but I didn’t have a pen. With a tired sigh, I turned and began climbing the stairs, heading to the study to get one. My feet felt like lead, every step up the staircase heavier than the last. My head was beginning to ache again. I remembered the doctor’s warning. No stress, no emotional strain. But how could I avoid that in this house? Halfway up, I saw Sarah leaning against the wall at the top of the stairs with her arms folded and a wicked smile on her face. I didn’t have the strength to argue with her. I just wanted to get the pen, sign the papers and go. I tried to walk past her, but she stepped in my way. “Sister,” she said, her voice soaked with mockery. “Aren’t you going to congratulate me? I’m giving Liam something you couldn’t... an heir.” I clenched my jaw, forcing myself to stay calm. I didn’t have time for this. I turned to leave without a word, but again, she moved in front of me. “What? Cat got your tongue?” she hissed. “You’re just like your pathetic mother. Thinking you could hold onto a man who never loved you.” I looked at her with fury. I could take the insults, I could take the betrayal, but not this, not my mother. “How dare you mention my mother with that filthy mouth of yours!” I snapped, rage boiling in my blood as I raised my hand to slap her, but she caught my wrist mid-air, her grip tight and cold. She stared at me with a twisted smile. “You want to slap me?” she whispered. “Don’t worry, sister. I’ll help you.” Before I could ask what she meant, she slipped her free hand into her purse and pulled out something small, shiny and sharp. A needle? What the hell? My eyes widened, but before I could react, she jabbed it into the inside of my wrist and pulled it out quickly. “Ahh!” I winced, stumbling back. “What did you just do to me?!” I cried. But before I could get an answer, Sarah suddenly slapped herself across the face several times. My breath caught in my throat as I stared in confusion and shock. Then she screamed so loud it echoed down the hall. She threw herself backward, crashing to the floor and curled up like she was in pain, sobbing uncontrollably. “Help!” she cried. “She hit me! She pushed me! She’s trying to kill my baby!” I froze. No… no, no, no. What kind of sick game is she playing? I looked down at my wrist where the needle had pricked me, and my heart began to race in panic. Something is wrong. My vision blurred for a second, and my knees wobbled beneath me. What the hell did she inject me with? My breathing quickened, but I forced myself to stay upright. Just then, the sound of rushed footsteps echoed through the hallway. Liam and his mother appeared at the top of the stairs, their faces twisted in panic. “What is going on here?!” Liam barked, rushing straight to Sarah. “She... she tried to kill my baby!” Sarah sobbed, clutching her stomach. Liam’s eyes shot toward me, filled with fury. “What?!” “You monster!” his mother screeched, pointing at me like I was some criminal. “No! I didn’t do anything to her. She’s lying!” I cried, shaking my head as tears rolled down my cheeks. “She slapped herself! She injected me with something! Please...” “Oh, really?” Liam cut me off, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “So now you are saying she slapped herself?” He pointed to the red marks on Sarah’s cheek, and all I could do was shake my head helplessly. “Liam, I swear on everything... I didn’t touch her!” But he wasn’t listening. He never listened. “This is the height of wickedness,” he growled. “How dare you try to harm my child!” And before I could say a word, he landed a hot slap on my cheek. The force from the slap made my feet slip. My hand reached out, but there was nothing to grab, and I fell down the staircase. The crash of my body against the cold marble floor rang louder than anything else. Pain exploded in my belly as I landed flat, and I screamed. “No... no! My baby!” I cried out in agony, my hands flying to my stomach. A sharp, tearing pain hit me from inside as blood gushed out of my body. My body trembled. My vision spun, but I still heard everything. “You ungrateful idiot!” Catherine spat as she came down the stairs. “You tried to kill my grandchild!" She yelled out as she kicked my belly with her foot. Pain tore through me like fire. I screamed again, too weak to move. “Please… stop,” I sobbed. “Please, my baby…” But no one cared, no one heard me. I reached out, tried to grab Liam’s leg as he passed by. “Liam… help me. Please. Our baby...” I begged through choking tears. But he looked at me like I was dirt and kicked my hand away. “You are so wicked!” he snapped. Just then, Sarah screamed again, louder than ever. “My stomach… it hurts!” Liam and his mother turned immediately. “No, no, no... we have to get her to the hospital!” Catherine shrieked. “Nothing must happen to my grandchild!” They rushed to her, cradling her like she was fragile gold, helping her up, her fake sobs filling the air. And they left... They left me there, bleeding, broken and forgotten. I curled into myself, crying softly. “My baby… someone save my baby…” My vision blurred, my hands sticky with blood. I was slipping. But just as everything went dark, I felt someone lift me gently from the cold floor. A soft, trembling voice whispered, “Madam… please hold on.”AliyahThe next morning, I woke up feeling something warm and heavy around my waist. For a moment, I thought I was dreaming… until I opened my eyes and froze.Oliver’s arm was wrapped around me.I blinked once. Then twice. Nope, still there. My heart skipped a beat or maybe two.His body was pressed so close that I could feel the steady rise and fall of his chest against my back. His scent, that addictive masculine cologne mixed with something that was just him, filled my lungs and made it almost impossible to breathe properly.Oh God, oh God, oh God.I tried to move carefully, just enough to slip out of his hold, but his arm tightened instantly, pulling me even closer.“Good morning, wife,” he murmured, his voice still heavy with sleep, deep, rough, and sinfully sexy.I froze completely. “G-good morning,” I stuttered. He chuckled softly, the sound rumbling against my skin. “Why are you so stiff? You act like I bite.”Because you probably would, my mind screamed.“I... I wasn’t… I mea
Aliyah Oliver stepped out of the bathroom, his damp hair tousled, water glistening on his skin, a white towel slung low around his waist.Oh, my God.I froze completely. My mind went blank.I wanted to look away, but it's too late as my eyes were already glued to his sexy, tempting and hot body. His chest was broad and sculpted, droplets sliding slowly down to his abdomen. The light from the chandelier hit his skin just right, making him look like he was carved out of perfection itself.Good lord! Is he trying to seduce me?God, I couldn't help but imagine how it would feel to run my hands over his hot, tempting body, how his cock would feel touching my clit and fucking me hard until I screamed my lungs out."No, no, no. You are born again, you are born again. You shouldn't be thinking that way." I chanted in my head, but he's not helping matters with the way he was stripping me naked with his eyes. Please, don't blame me for behaving like a high school girl seeing her crush's bare
AliyahI still couldn’t believe how gentle and kind Oliver had been to me. For a man who was rumored to be cold, ruthless, and impossible to please, he had shown me nothing but care. His protectiveness earlier, the way he defended me without hesitation... it made my chest tighten in ways I couldn’t explain. This feeling was new to me. Terrifyingly new. And yet, I prayed silently that it would last forever.I sighed softly and tried to get up, but before I could, Oliver was already beside me. In one swift motion, he scooped me into his arms like I weighed nothing.“I can walk,” I whispered, my cheeks burning with embarrassment. His lips twitched into a faint smirk. “I know you can, but I prefer this.”My eyes widened as I noticed the servants watching, their jaws practically hitting the floor. Before I could protest, Oliver leaned down and oh, God... his lips brushed against mine.Right there, in front of everyone. My heart exploded.Heat rushed to my face, and I quickly buried my face
OliverI was still fuming with anger as I gently opened the car door for Aliyah.God, I still couldn’t believe that brat had dared to raise her hand on her. How could she? Was it because I have been too nice to her all these years?Alicia’s family and I had been close friends since before my parents died. She was spoiled because she was their only child and used to getting everything she wanted. I knew she had feelings for me, yes, I knew, but not even for once did I ever see her as a woman. To me, she was nothing more than a kid sister.I sighed heavily, clenching my fists to stop myself from breaking something. The car was silent except for Aliyah’s quiet breathing. She rested against me, her head on my shoulder, her fingers clutching the edge of my suit like she was afraid I would disappear if she let go. Every few seconds, she shivered... small, barely noticeable tremors, but I felt every one of them.I reached for her hand, wrapping my fingers around hers.“Does it hurt?” I ask
Aliyah A murmur ran through the room. Shocked gasps. Even the secretary took a step back.“Y–Your wife?” Alicia stuttered. “You married her?”Oliver shot her a glare so sharp that she instantly fell silent. “Yes,” he said coldly. “My wife. And the last person who disrespected her doesn’t walk in this city anymore.”Alicia’s face turned pale. The guards shifted uncomfortably.I looked up at him, stunned. He was angry but not at me. Not once did he question me. His attention turned to my forehead, where I felt the sting from when I hit the floor. His brows furrowed when he saw the faint bruise forming there. He traced his thumb gently over my cheek, his eyes filled with both fury and worry.“Did she hurt you anywhere else?” he asked softly, his tone melting with concern.I shook my head, trying to smile, but fresh tears rolled down my face.He sighed and leaned closer, pressing a kiss to my forehead before whispering, “I’m sorry this happened, Aliyah. I’ll take care of it right now.”T
Who are you?The woman’s cold, sharp voice made my heart skip a beat. She stood in front of me, her eyes filled with disgust as if I were something she’d stepped on accidentally.“I... I’m Aliyah,” I stuttered, trying to sound polite. She smirked, folding her arms across her chest. “Aliyah? Is that supposed to be the name of a human?”Her tone was dripping with sarcasm and venom. I swallowed my anger, forcing a tight smile. This wasn’t the time or place to cause trouble. I didn’t even know who she was, and yet she spoke to me like she owned the entire world. The secretary gave me a pleading look, his eyes saying, Please don’t respond. Then he spoke carefully, “Ms. Alicia, please take it easy. She’s Mrs...”“I don’t care who she is!!” she snapped, cutting him off before he could finish.Mrs? I blinked, realizing what he was about to say. Did she already know that Oliver and I were married? Or was that exactly what made her so angry?“What the hell are you doing here?” Alicia shouted,
