Downstairs in the living room, Michael was seated with his legs crossed on the couch. Beside him was Sofia, who was trying her best to look attractive for him. She was wearing an off-shoulder gown that came down to just above her knee. The gown was white and had a flowing design. Her hair was gathered in a bun, and she wore a pair of high heels to complete the look. She moved closer to Michael and interlocked her fingers with his, holding his hand firmly despite the warning glances her father was sending. Ignoring his disapproval, she moved even closer, making sure to stay near him.

She wanted Michael's attention to be focused on her today. Despite the fact that Lilly was going to be introduced to Michael's grandfather as his fiancée, Sofia still wanted to seize every opportunity to be with him. Michael glanced at his watch and sighed in disappointment. He had only arrived about ten minutes ago, yet his patience was already wearing thin.
