Ava

I didn't realize I had stepped away from the door until my back touched the wall behind me.

Inside the room, Clara laughed.

The sound slid through the small space under the door like it belonged there, light and careless.

“And the poor girl still believes her one night stand with Ethan was a mistake.”

Vicky burst out laughing.

I felt my fingers loosen around the door handle.

“She has no idea I planned everything.”

My hand dropped to my side.

For a moment I simply stared at the door.

The white wood in front of me looked the same as always. Nothing had changed about it.

But the voices behind it had changed everything.

“You really helped me that night,” Clara continued.

“Oh please,” Vicky replied. “Getting Ava drunk wasn't even hard.”

Their laughter filled the room again.

My throat tightened.

I stepped back slowly, careful not to make any noise.

The hallway suddenly felt too narrow.

My palm pressed against the wall beside me as I steadied myself.

Clara loved Ethan.

That was what everyone believed.

That was what I believed.

My fingers moved to my eyes and I wiped quickly before anything could fall.

I straightened my back.

Then I turned away from the door.

Each step down the hallway felt heavier than the last.

When I reached the staircase, I paused for a moment and gripped the railing.

Downstairs I could hear Sandra and my mother talking.

I walked down slowly.

Sandra noticed me first.

“Oh, you're back already?”

My mom turned immediately.

“Ava? I thought you were going to see Clara.”

“I did,” I said.

My voice sounded normal.

At least I hoped it did.

Sandra stood up and stretched.

“That was quick.”

Mom frowned slightly.

“You just got here. Why are you coming down already?”

I adjusted the strap of my bag.

“I need to head back home.”

“Home?” Mom repeated.

“So soon?”

I nodded.

“There are still things I need to sort out at Ethan’s house.”

Mom studied my face carefully.

“Is everything alright?”

For a moment I almost said something.

Almost.

But Clara’s laughter echoed again in my mind.

I forced a small smile.

“Yes, Mom. Everything is fine.”

She looked uncertain but eventually nodded.

“Well… alright then. Just make sure you visit again soon.”

“I will.”

Sandra grabbed her purse from the table.

“I’ll head home too.”

Mom walked us both to the door.

Outside, the afternoon air felt cooler.

Sandra looked at me as we walked toward the cars.

“You’ve been quiet today.”

I opened the car door.

“I’m just tired.”

“That wedding must have drained you,” she said with a laugh.

“Probably.”

She waved before walking toward her own car.

I slid into the back seat.

The driver closed the door.

As the car pulled away from my parents’ house, I leaned my head against the window.

My fingers slowly tightened around my bag.

Clara’s voice echoed in my head again.

She has no idea I planned everything.

My eyes closed briefly.

Ethan's Pov

I leaned back in my chair as Ji-hoon dropped onto the couch across my office.

Jae-min was standing near the window while Oliver poured himself a drink from the small bar in the corner.

None of them had said anything for a few seconds.

Then Ji-hoon finally spoke.

“You know,” he said slowly, “that whole situation is still strange.”

I raised an eyebrow.

“What situation?”

Jae-min turned from the window.

“Your wedding.”

Oliver chuckled.

“Correction. The reason for the wedding.”

I crossed my arms.

“There’s nothing strange about it.”

Ji-hoon leaned forward.

“So you figured out exactly what happened that night?”

“Yes.”

They all looked at me.

“Ava seduced me.”

Oliver nearly choked on his drink.

“Are you serious?”

I shrugged.

“She ended up in my room, didn’t she?”

Jae-min folded his arms.

“Both of you were drunk.”

“So?”

Ji-hoon tapped his fingers on the table.

“I don’t know, man. Something about that night still doesn’t add up.”

I stared at him.

“Are you suggesting I don’t know what happened in my own room?”

“No,” Ji-hoon said calmly. “I’m saying maybe you didn’t see everything.”

Oliver suddenly snapped his fingers.

“Wait.”

We all turned to him.

“The party was at the Imperial Grand Hotel right?”

“Yes,” I said.

He pointed at me.

“That place has cameras everywhere.”

Jae-min nodded slowly.

“Hallways. Elevators. Lobby.”

Ji-hoon looked at me.

“If you really want to know what happened that night, just check the CCTV footage.”

The room went quiet.

I leaned back in my chair.

Cameras.

The idea sat in my mind for a moment.

Then Oliver spoke again.

“You might find out how Ava got into your room.”

Ji-hoon stood up and grabbed his jacket.

“Or who took her there.”

Jae-min pushed away from the window.

“Well, if you do check it, let us know what you find.”

They left not long after.

The office became quiet again.

I stared at the empty glass on my desk.

Cameras.

My phone was already in my hand before I realized it.

“Go to the Imperial Grand Hotel,” I told my assistant.

“I want the CCTV footage from Cynthia’s birthday party.”

“Yes, sir.”

The call ended.

Hours passed.

Night had already fallen when someone knocked on my office door.

“Come in.”

My assistant stepped inside holding a flash drive.

“Sir,” he said, placing it on my desk, “I have the footage.”

I picked it up slowly.

He left the room.

I insert

ed the drive into my computer.

A video file appeared on the screen.

I clicked it.

The footage began to play.

And I leaned closer to the screen.

The next thing I saw shocked me.

  • Married To My Sister's fiance    Forever starts here

Ava’s POVSix months later, the penthouse terrace was alive with the sound of laughter and the soft clink of glasses. Our daughter, now sitting up on her own with a tuft of dark curls and Ethan’s bright eyes, clapped her tiny hands at the colorful balloons tied to her high chair. She had just turned six months old, and we had gathered everyone to celebrate — not just her milestone, but the quiet victory of the life we had built together.I stood by the railing, watching Ethan chase her across the soft mat we had laid out. He got down on his hands and knees, making exaggerated growling sounds while she squealed and crawled away from him. Every time he caught her, he lifted her high and kissed her cheeks until she dissolved into giggles. The sight of them together still took my breath away.Sandra came up beside me, a glass of juice in her hand. Her other hand rested on the small bump just starting to show under her dress. “Look at him,” she said, smiling. “Who would have thought the ru

  • Married To My Sister's fiance    the day we renewed

Ava’s POVThe morning of the ceremony felt different. Sunlight poured through the windows of the penthouse, warm and bright, chasing away the last shadows that had lingered in the corners. I stood in front of the mirror in our bedroom, smoothing the soft fabric of the simple white dress over my hips. It flowed gently, comfortable enough for healing but elegant for the moment. Our daughter cooed from the bed where Ethan had laid her down on a soft blanket. She kicked her little legs, reaching for the mobile he had hung above her.Ethan stepped up behind me, his hands settling lightly on my waist. He wore a crisp white shirt with the sleeves rolled up, looking every bit the man who had fought through hell to stand here with us. He met my eyes in the mirror and smiled that slow, private smile that still made my stomach flutter.“You look beautiful,” he said, voice low. He pressed a kiss to the side of my neck, then rested his chin on my shoulder. “Ready?”I leaned back into him, feeling

  • Married To My Sister's fiance    the vows we made

Ava’s POVThe terrace caught the late afternoon sun perfectly, golden light stretching across the tiles. I sat in the wide outdoor chair with our daughter nestled against my chest in a soft carrier. She had grown so much in these short weeks at home, her cheeks filling out, her eyes tracking movement more clearly. Ethan knelt in front of us, adjusting the tiny sun hat on her head even though the umbrella gave plenty of shade.“She likes it out here,” he said, his voice warm. He brushed a finger across her cheek and she turned toward his touch, making that small gurgling sound that always made my heart flip. “Good choice for the ceremony. Close enough to home but feels like a fresh start.”I smiled and reached for his hand. “It does. Small guest list, just the people who matter. No cameras, no pressure.”He sat beside me and pulled my legs across his lap, rubbing my calves with gentle pressure. The scar from the surgery still felt tight sometimes, but his touch helped loosen everything

  • Married To My Sister's fiance    the days we chose

Ava’s POVThe nursery smelled like fresh linen and baby powder. Morning light spilled across the floor as I stood by the crib, watching our daughter sleep. Her tiny chest rose and fell in even rhythms now, no more wires or monitors. She had been home for a week, and each day felt like another small miracle. Ethan came up behind me, his arms sliding around my waist. He rested his chin on my shoulder and looked down at her with the same wonder he wore every morning.“She slept through the night,” he said softly, his breath warm against my ear. “You both did. Feels like we’re finally winning.”I leaned back into him, letting his solid warmth hold me up. The C-section scar still pulled when I moved too fast, but the pain was fading. What stayed was the quiet joy of these ordinary moments. Feeding her at two in the morning. Ethan changing diapers like he had studied for a test. The way he talked to her about everything from the stock market to why the sky turned pink at sunset.“Your mom c

  • Married To My Sister's fiance    Coming home

Ava’s POVThe morning we left the hospital felt like stepping into a new world. The nurses had given us the all-clear after one last check. Our daughter’s oxygen levels stayed steady, she was gaining weight, and the doctor smiled when he signed the papers. Ethan carried the car seat like it held the most precious thing in the universe, which it did. I walked beside him slowly, still sore from the surgery, but every step felt lighter. The penthouse looked different when we arrived. Fresh flowers sat on the table, soft blankets draped over the new rocking chair in the nursery, and the walls had been painted in the pale cream we chose together. Sandra and Lila had clearly been busy. Ethan set the car seat down gently and lifted our daughter out, cradling her against his chest as if she might break.“Welcome home, little one,” he whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead. She made a small cooing sound, and his face broke into the biggest smile I had ever seen.I moved to the nursery door

  • Married To My Sister's fiance    the truth we kept

Ava’s POVMorning light filled the hospital room with a soft glow. I sat up in bed, the stitches from the C-section pulling a little less today. Our daughter lay in the bassinet beside me, wrapped in a soft pink blanket, her tiny fists curled near her face. She had slept better last night, and so had I. Ethan stood by the window, talking quietly on the phone with his lawyers about Clara’s case. Every few seconds his eyes drifted back to us, like he needed to make sure we were still there. He ended the call and came over, sitting on the edge of the bed. His hand found mine first, then reached to gently stroke our daughter’s cheek. “The DA says the evidence is solid. Kidnapping, assault, conspiracy. She won’t see the outside for a long time.”I nodded, watching our baby’s peaceful face. “Good. I don’t want her near us ever again.”Ethan leaned in and kissed my forehead, lingering there. “Your mom is coming in an hour. She wants to meet her granddaughter. I told her only if you’re ready.

  • Married To My Sister's fiance    Bad Rest Promises

Ava’s POVThe penthouse felt different when the whole day stretched out in front of me with nowhere to go. • Married To My Sister's fiance    First Crack

**Ava’s POV**The office had settled into a rhythm I was starting to get used to. The city skyline stretched out behind the glass walls, a constant backdrop of steel and light that never quite felt real when I was inside Ethan’s private space. I sat on the long leather couch he had arranged for me,

  • Married To My Sister's fiance    The Bedroom Ultimatum

Ava’s POVThe ride from the wedding hall to Ethan’s penthouse felt strangely quiet. The black car moved smoothly through the streets of Manhattan while bright city lights flashed past the window beside me. The night outside looked alive. Cars rushed by. Buildings glittered under the dark sky.But
