LOGINALPHA BRYN'S POV “You shameless slut!” Mum yelled out as she charged towards Sable. I grabbed firmly to her wrist, pulling her back to myself. Well, I agreed with her words, sable was fucking shameless for bringing up Knox in this situation. But I wasn't gonna let mum drag her hair like she did earlier or throw her to the ground. The child in Sable's womb was more important to me than my ego or mother's words. I believed we could still work everything out and keep members of the pack in the dark about the child we were expecting. Words were already going around about my weakness, I would be damned if this was added. Everyone would surely have a thing or two to say about me, probably I couldn't make babies and Sable had to go to Knox for that. I was sure all of it would fall back on me and that was exactly what I was trying to avoid. I myself feared I was infertile, but how would I say
KNOX'S POV I'd expected a bunch of things as the repercussions for beating the shit out of Alpha Bryn, but the last thing I'd expected was getting dragged down to the iron dungeon for it. I wasn't taken into the regular prison, but the iron dungeon. The same room where criminals are tormented until they take their last breath. That was where Alpha Bryn ordered me to be taken to. I found it funny, weird and also very interesting, but I couldn't show out any of my reactions. All I did was stare at the faces of the soldier who'd come to my chamber to lead me out. I looked to their arms and it all remained clutched firmly to the sword on their waist pouch. I guess Alpha Bryn also instructed them to use force if that was necessary. I wasn't going to struggle, but of course I would not let a finger of theirs rest on me.
SABLE'S POV Ysoria's gaze was fixed on mine as I walked closer and closer to them. Alpha Bryn's gaze was on me as well, but unlike his mother who had a stern look, he had a very carefree expression on his face. He sure had mumbled a curse word to himself although directed to me when I walked in. Judging by the look on his face, he wanted for me to be anywhere else at this moment except for his mother's chamber. Maybe that was a good thing, he would certainly let me have just what I wanted so I could leave from his sight as soon as possible. And I bet Ysoria had no idea about Knox being locked up. As much as she hated Knox, she sure knew that was a bad idea. She obviously could tell Knox apart while Alpha Bryn couldn't. Of course, it was clear Knox was a ticking time bomb, and doing this to him was the trigger he needed to explode. A smirk curled up on my lower lip and I sud
SABLE'S POV I got to Alpha Bryn's chamber and began pounding on the door. I didn't care that the day wasn't fully awake. Well, I guess everyone should be up, the night was such a messed up one for Alpha, Beta and Luna. No one should be having a blast while we were going through shit. I banged his door over and over, but wouldn't get a response. I also cared less about what he would think of me banging on his door like he was some criminal about to get picked up. Well to me, he was. “Looking for the Alpha?” I heard a voice call my attention. I looked towards her with a frown on my face, it was madam Theresa, the second oldest maid servant in the pack. Unlike madam Rosa, she wasn't full of life. Rather, she always looked and spoke like everyday was her last. Like she was being forced to stay alive or something, I didn't like her. “He's not in.” She responde
ALPHA BRYN'S POV Who could live on after finding out such? Certainly not me. I had no idea who to channel my anger on, mum? Myself? Father for being the second son? Or Knox for letting me act all high and mighty without truly knowing my place. Maybe I should channel it all to mum, she'd caused all of this. I looked back at her feeling slightly irritated. How could a woman be this devilish? It made no fucking sense. I knew the right thing to do at that moment was to leave her chamber before I lost it once again, but I couldn't bring myself to do that. I still got a thousand questions in my head. Questions like how did she get Knox to give it all up? What did she ha
ALPHA BRYN'S POV Mum went on speaking. But this time, I couldn't hear shit. My thought was centered around what she'd just said. How was that even possible?I was the son of the late Alpha, the rightful heir to the throne. How on earth did Knox become an Alpha's candidate?None of this was possible. I shook my head over and over again in disbelief. There was no point in doing that, I was a replacement and that was it. I pressed my palm firmly against my head in an attempt to shut out all the loud voices that had begun to echo in my head. “No!” I yelled out, shaking my head violently. “Fuck no!” I yelled out once again. “Pull yourself together Bryn, and stop being an asshole!” Mum yelled out.She lowered herself to me, making her voice sound even louder. “You are the Alpha and that's all that is necessary, Knox could never!” She called out. “He coul
~SableBefore I could even process the noise.. the room was full of them... large grim-faced men in suits that did nothing to hide their thick necks and rude attitudes.I gasped, scrambling upright and clutching the soft white sheet to my chest. It was the only thing between me and total nudity.“W
~SableUp close with the stranger, the shadows melted away and my bravado almost did too.Holy shit..!The man was… fucking handsome! Like, stop-your-heart-and-then-kick-it-into-overdrive handsome. He was older, maybe early forties with little crinkles at the corners of his eyes that suggested he’
~Sable“Sable! You get your scrawny ass back here, you little fucking shit! What the fuck are you up to now!”The scream rang far behind me into the night as I ran.The night was harshly cold with the cold air filling my lungs at every gasp but it was nothing compared to the sound of Corvin’s voice
CHAPTER 4: ComplicationsSable's POVThe air vanished from my lungs the moment I met his eyes.. It wasn't just his size though he was enormous. It wasn't even the inhuman, gold-flecked glow in his eyes, though that was seriously freaky. It was the sheer crushing weight of his presence that hit me
