Chapter 17

Andrew watched as Sophia's mood changed instantly at his words. He could sense that he had said something wrong, and his heart sank. "Did I say anything wrong?" he asked, concerned.

As Sophia walked up the stairs, Andrew remembered the last painting he had done of her. It had brought back memories for her, and he felt guilty for bringing it up. "Shit, I'm sorry, Sophia," he said, his voice filled with regret. "I didn't mean to bring back memories. I'm sorry."

Sophia turned to him, her smile returning. "It's not your fault," she said softly. "I wanted the painting, anyway. So, don't blame yourself."

Sophia turned and continued up the stairs, leaving Andrew standing there in the living room. He watched her go, feeling a mixture of emotions.

Andrew stood there, watching as Sophia made her way up the stairs. He felt a deep connection to her, and he knew that she was going through a tough time.

He wanted to help her, to be there for her, but he didn't know how. He sighed, all he could do
