Chapter 4286

Author: Gu Lingfei
Employees for the O’Connors were covered by social insurance. Those who had worked for ten years or more were eligible for monthly retirement benefits. They could receive some money after retirement, guaranteeing them a basic standard of living.

That was pretty decent.

Austin did not know that the driver had almost turned him into an enemy. While driving, he asked Isabella, “Did you sleep well last night?”

Since Louis and Phillip were present at breakfast, both of them had restrained themselves. They revealed nothing and interacted as they usually did.

“Not bad.”

After speaking, Isabella yawned. She could not resist laughing and said, “Although I slept well, I’m still tired because I went to bed late.

“Make me a cup of coffee later. I can’t get through the day without coffee.”

Isabella had not been getting enough sleep as she had been working long hours daily.

Coffee was the only thing that could keep her going.

However, she felt the effects of caffeine had weakened as she

These 3 chapters were just as empty as the last 6 or so. These love affairs have become boring. The Dylan and Imogen is not any better. I wonder how many chapters to get their stories told and done. I am annoyed by the dragging

  • Married at First Sight   Chapter 4304

Since Caroline did not want to take a look, Liberty folded Noa’s resume and stuffed it back into the envelope. She placed the envelope on the coffee table and asked Noa to sit. Noa refused and said, “I came to report to duty, ma’am. I need to sort out my accommodation. I won’t hang around unless instructed.” The resume provided Noa’s contact number. Liberty could call the number to get through to Noa. “Where do you live?” Noa replied respectfully, “I stay where Darren stays. We usually live somewhere close to Fisher Manor.”Of course, these assistants had a choice of getting their own property if they did not want to stay in the allocated accommodation. There was only one condition to abide by—their residence should always be a short distance away from Fisher Manor. Their responsibilities were extensive, and sometimes, there was a need to ensure the head of the family’s safety. They had to be close to provide protection. Besides tidying up the living quarters, Noa needed t

“Duncan usually does the cooking at home. He said that he wanted to improve his cooking. I think he puts out the best food already.” Caroline smiled. “Any food is delicious when there is love.” Liberty got up to check on the boys in the kitchen. She then went to sit near Caroline and whispered, “Did Darren drop any hints about proposing?”“He didn’t talk about proposing. We are going to get our marriage license at City Hall the day after. I don’t think a proposal is necessary at this point. I don’t care about the formalities. He’s mine for the rest of his life anyway.” Before Liberty could say anything, the butler entered the room. The ladies stopped talking. “Ma’am, we have a visitor. The young lady said that she’s your assistant. She wishes to see you.” The pair exchanged glances. Caroline said, “Here comes your all-around assistant. I didn’t know she was a girl.” Liberty instructed the butler to bring the assistant in. While the butler was away, Liberty replied, “Ther

The three ladies were hot with emotions to be back in a place they had previously resided for over a decade. They thought they would spend their last days in Fisher Manor after marrying into the family. It had crossed their minds to succeed the manor. That was all a dream now. Belinda was dead. Hunter returned to his family. Emma, Ellie, and Ava had problems in their marriages. Emma was separated from Adrian. All three families were forced to move out of the manor. The moment Liberty took over the family, the Clark brothers’ wives backed away. Emma, Ellie, and Ava stopped associating themselves with the Fishers. Their only hope was to live a peaceful and mundane life. Had their husbands played nice, they would still be a happy family. However, the Clark brothers had to dig their graves. These men wanted more; they found everything unfair. Nothing was fair in the world. It did not matter that they were frustrated. Belinda, as powerful as she was, had to die

Audrey developed an early-to-bed and early-to-rise routine since her retirement. Liberty bet Audrey was in bed by now. “Take good care of yourself. Don’t kill yourself with all the work. Just take it easy,” Audrey said to Liberty. Liberty heeded Audrey’s nagging and ended the call. It was a quiet night. In the next few days, Darren put his focus on Caroline’s care and a wedding proposal. Despite knowing what Darren was up to, Caroline played dumb and kept the questions to herself. Then came the day of Caroline’s hospital discharge. Liberty made time to visit Caroline with her husband on her last day at the hospital. She brought along a bouquet of flowers. Darren bought Caroline flowers too. Liberty entered the ward with a bouquet while Caroline was on her way out with one in hand, too. Liberty smiled. “Are you done with the discharge procedures already?” “Yeah. It’s all done. I’m packed up and ready to go. I can’t wait to get out of here. “I might as well ro

Caroline flushed slightly. “How would I know? He didn’t say what he was off to do, and I'm not a mind reader.”Liberty chuckled but did not press further. She stayed at the hospital for over an hour before leaving. That evening, after finishing her work, Liberty called Audrey.Audrey answered promptly. “Liberty, what’s the matter?”She asked with concern, “Are you doing well in Jensburg? Is everything going smoothly? All Souls Day is next month. We should visit my parents’ graves then.”“I’m doing very well, Aunt Audrey. Everything is going smoothly. With Caroline and Duncan guiding me, I’m full of confidence.”Audrey sighed in relief. “I believe in you. You’ll do great.”“I actually wanted to talk to you about Caroline’s personal matters.”At the mention of Caroline, Audrey fell silent, waiting for Liberty to continue.“After being discharged from the hospital, Caroline plans to register her marriage with Darren Fletcher and hold a wedding. It’ll probably be after All Souls D

  • Married at First Sight   Chapter 4299

Liberty caught the implication and asked with delight, “So you're planning to register your marriage with Mr. Fletcher ahead of schedule? Weren’t you going to date and fall in love properly before getting married?”That was what Caroline had originally said—to date Darren first, experience the sweetness of love, and only then consider marriage. After all, no matter how good a marriage was, it could never match the sweetness of courtship. How many couples started out deeply in love, only to have their feelings gradually worn away by the burdens of life and the trivialities of daily living after marriage?Caroline replied, “We've been together for so long now, our feelings are already deep enough.“Dating and romance can still happen after marriage. Look at your sister Serenity. Didn’t she fall in love after getting married? Now, who would dare say she isn’t happily married to Zachary?”“At least Darren and I have real feelings for each other. It’s not some impulsive decision. I bel
