Chapter XVI

Rossie lied. When Jared recalls the subject she left on the dining table, she had to make an excuse to brush it off. She laughed and told him it was just that she was feeling a little homesick. At first, she thought it would be a failure but Jared bought it.

"I'm not sorry that I'm taking you away." He looks over his shoulder to Rossie, his eyes telling her how much he meant what he said. Then he shifted his gaze to his tablet, taking his coffee. He didn't even have any reaction. "Want some breakfast?"

"What are you having?" she asked. Since she usually just has coffee and bread in the morning, she doesn't know what kind of fancy breakfast his family eats.

"Apple. I like it," he answered. She could not help but messed her face up which Jared laughed at. There's no way she's just eating apples in the morning. "That's exactly why you should start thinking of what you want for breakfast, baby."

While she was thinking about it, she can't help but notice how consistent Jared was at calling
