The title of this Chapter is Voila because I'm currently listening to Voila by Emma Kok. I love it. And it gives beautiful vibes.
About twenty minutes after Grant's car had driven away from the spot it had been parked in, the loud sirens of the ambulance sounded very crisply and nearby. It stopped right in front of the garage and two EMT's descend from it, a stretcher in their hands. They carry it into the garage and barely manage to roll Roger's stiffened up body on the gurney. They carry it to the ambulance with a lot of strength but they make it and cover the body with a while cloth to signify that he's dead already. Well, he's been dead since the one bullet hit him in the head. The ambulance starts and drives off with a police car arriving right after the ambulance closes it's doors. Two officers descend from it and walk into the garage, heading straight for the blood spattering on the floor and the half outline that the blood has caused while flowing around Roger's fallen and lifeless body. "Hm. It was pretty obvious he was shot in the head." The younger officer observes, looking at his senior subordinat
In about twenty minutes, the first five vans arrive with their photographers and reporters prepping up.Hank throws a wide smile and rare thumbs up to the officer who he had put in charge of reaching the reporters. Apparently, he did his job quite well... Hank stands up from the chair in the car, stretching slightly just as two more vans pull into the garage lot.As they see him, they crowd around him, all their questions on the top of their tongues. He immediately holds out his palms, stopping them from speaking before he does. "Thanks for coming. What I want to share with you all now is pretty important. So, is there any channel here that's going to be doing it live?" He asks, managing to keep the pompousity out of his voice. Two reporters raise their hands. He motions them forward, pushing the other back with a wave of his hand. "So, you're going to be having me live?""Yes sir..." The first one responds, pushing ahead. "The late morning news has started and this will be the third
Dressed in a long black dinner gown, a silver clutch bag and silver shoes, all accentuating her beauty and confident looks, everyone in the room that night can tell that she's in love with the man across the room, the same man she keeps staring at.He also, throws her some glances and smiles at her when he catches her watching him as well.In a lady's life, there are many moments where she cherishes and for Ivy Hall, this is one of those moments, where her to be husband Richard Wright, announces their wedding to the world...He grabs a glass of champagne off a passing waiter and uses his fork to grab attention from everybody in the room."Uhm... Can I have your attention please?" Richard announces, standing on a chair so everyone can see him. "I'm sure you all know who I am if you're at this party. Well, I just have an extra good news."Ivy smiles deeply, her dimples looking deeper through the shadows cast on her face. She holds her purse even tighter to her heart, knowing what is com
Knowing that she could harm herself if she keeps driving in that situation, and not wanting to remember Richard, Ivy parks her car at the nearest cafe she could find and stumbles inside, hurriedly locating the furthest booth from the outside. She sits down there and cries, trying to muffle them so no one will be alarmed. She removes her coat and hangs it behind her chair, sniffling quietly but still trying to hide it as a waitress aporoaches her. "Good afternoon ma'am. What would you like to have?"Ivy looks half heartedly through the menu. "I'd like a cup of chamomile tea.""Coming right up ma'am."For the next few minutes, Ivy stares into space, her mind inevitably taking her back to the moment she witnessed less than twenty minutes ago.Her husband in another woman, not just any women infact, her own best friend, and his uncaring attitude even after she found out.He always manages to device new ways to make her hurt over and over again. She wipes her eyes over and over again. Her
Richard woke up the next morning to an empty side of the bed.Cold and empty. And so is her side of the wardrobe, her makeup products, skincare and bathing materials all gone.Shoes, bags, everything, even her smell...It's all gone.He stood up, smiling and drinking the sunlight. "I'm finally free. I can do whatever I want now without consequences from anyone."He stands up and dances in the shower, feeling very happy.Ignoring the vibrations of his phone, he makes his own breakfast of toast bread and coffee. He makes very bad coffee but he drinks it anyway, just for the joy of it. When it's finally time to leave home for work, he grabs his keys and phone.Inside the car, he checks and sees that he's had multiple calls from Arielle and some other members of the executives of his company. He checks his texts but there's only one from Arielle. As he reads his, his earlier joy dies out and the day becomes very very sour.He fishes around in his briefcase but he can't seem to find what h
Ivy looks at the college ID in her hand as she travels home. She had grown up in New York and traveled to Oxford for her degree. When she came back, she had been hell bent on getting married to Richard that she had disregarded all her family just for him. She's scared about how she'll be received now that she's basically a prodigal daughter. She looks at her designated driver and urges him to drive faster. In three hours, she arrives on the outskirts of town, where her family house was built. In the form of a castle built in the early eighteen hundreds, their family is what is called Old to Modern Family money. She has been brought up to be humble so she never showed the fact that she was from a very rich founding family and nothing ever gave her away. She directs the man where to park the car, pays him and waits for him to leave before she exits the car.She opens the trunk of the car and carries out her suitcase filled with everything she owned the past few years. It's quite big, sh
Richard casts a look of disbelief at Ashton. "You're kidding right?"His Dad also looks at him. "Are you sure about this? She just left your brother, it's yet to be a day. This will spark a lot of controversies and now that we already have one on our hands. Can we handle it?"Richard nods, in an attempt to make him change his mind no matter what. "Yes, listen to Dad. Don't marry her. Let me tell you something big bro, she's a lousy woman, she's a terrible cook...""Yet, she always brought you your lunch. Am I supposed to believe that? You are her toast and coffee everyday, cooked your lunch and dinner for three years and now she's suddenly a lousy cook? Don't make me punch you." Ashton warns, standing up from his chair and towering over his brother with his full length.Richard backs away. "I was just...""Shut up." Grandpa Wright snaps at Richard and then turns to Ashton. "If she's the woman you'd like to get married to, we need to meet her family then. How about we arrange a meeting
Inside, everyone marvels at her dress and at her identity, her looking much more beautiful than anyone who witnessed her very small wedding with Richard might remember her to actually look. She looks radiant and happy next to Ashton.Ashton on the other hand marvels at how good of an actress she actually is. She's been smiling and gay even though she's around the family of the same man she had divorced just a week ago."You're so beautiful. What's your name?" An elderly woman in the Wrights family asks her, taking Ivy's hand in hers and a soft smile on her face. "My name is Ivy ma'am.""Jeez. What were your parents thinking?" She laughsIvy laughs too. "I have always wondered but I guess I would never know. Nice to meet you Aunt.""I've known this boy from a very young age and I don't think I've seen him so fulfilled. Look at him watch us with his eagle eyes from over there." She points where Ashton stands, watching them with a glass of wine in his hands.Ivy smiles, noting how good
