Journey to the devil's office

Warmth tagged my face, and I opened my eyes to a squint only to shut them back as a ray of sunlight, peeking through the white curtains, shone on my face. Groaning, I pulled the blanket over my head and turned around. 

I almost faded to the paradise called sleep when a blaring siren erupted in my room, and the bed trembled beneath me. Panicked, I jumped and landed on the floor, tangled in the blanket. My hands shot to my ears, saving my brains from bursting from the hammering noise. What was going on? Was the world coming to an end? I started looking around frantically when my eyes landed on the small black object lying on my bedside table. Frowning, I proceeded to touch it, but my hand froze in midair.
