Chapter 45

“Random guys?”, I quietly say, with my head held down, not wanting to show the tears streaming down my face. I can’t remember the last time I cried; especially in front of someone else, but I feel so frustrated.

“The only guy I hang out with is Cete” I say still quietly sobbing, hoping he doesn’t realize I’m crying. “What about the guy you were hanging out with at the business event”, my mind tries to remember which guy he could be talking about, the only guy I talked to was Der.

Oh Der, does he think we have something, “we’re just friends”, trying to justify myself, “that’s what I expected you to say; but have you ever thought how that makes me look” he coldly says.

“It makes me look stupid” he gets up and walks past me, my body starts shaking and tears starts to build up in my eyes, I slowly bend down. And seeing no reason to hide them anymore I start crying; I feel so confused and tired.
