CHAPTER 5

Emma held tight onto her dress in fear, the cold expression on Blake's face made her feel affright.

"You should have this in your mind, do not step your boundaries in this house. I can be very dangerous"

Blake paused, he dragged her by her dress and she ended up whimpering.

  His eyes irritably search hers.

  "More dangerous than you know"

That said, he pushed her sideways from the wall and left her falling on the concrete floor.

Emma hissed in pain, her waist hurt from falling hard on the floor.

She stared at his retreating figure as he climbed the stairs until he disappeared into one of the rooms.

Tears brewed down her face, this time, she didn't stop herself from crying, she didn't try to control her emotions, she let herself cry out the pain and hurt she is feeling at the moment.

It won't heal her but it will make her feel better.

She is scared of moving forward, scared of what the future holds for her.

This path she found herself is all stormy. How will she cope with her new life with Blake?

Emma sniffed, she wiped her tears and stood up.

There is nothing else she can do but to endure it, this is what she signed her life for. For her family, she have to go through this alone.

She ambulate to the stairs while looking around like a lost puppy thinking of which room to enter or which is her room.

There are about seven rooms, she stopped, taking a deep breath. Since Blake was too angry to show her to her room, it won't be bad taking one herself right?

After that, she decided to choose the first room that came to her mind which was the second room on the left.

She gently entered into the empty big bedroom that could be the size of her father's house.

She looked around the beautiful room wondering if this is how the other rooms are.

The only thing on her mind right at that moment was how to get out of the annoying wedding dress she is wearing but a thought niggled at her.

She silently cursed, her luggages have been here since yesterday because that was how Blake wanted it.

He already abandoned her for the night, how is she going to find the room her things are.

As she thought about it, she decided to search each closet in all the rooms.

She held up her dress making her way to the closet. She slightly opened it but her hand froze on it on hearing the opening of the bathroom door and Blake's angry snarls.

"I thought I warned you not to show your face in front of me, why the hell are you in my personal space?"

Blake's angry voice boomed in the room.

Emma's heart pounded in her chest trying to make herself believe that this isn't his room.

She unwillingly closed her eyes in agony as he yanked her hair from behind.

Isn't her fate so cruel to her? Of all the rooms, why did she end up here? Is her mind playing some kind of dangerous game with her?

"I hate it when someone intrude in my private life. I hate the fact that you are my wife and in my house. What makes you think I will ever share a room with you huh?"

He asked, his hand fisted in a ball and his eyes morphed into dark red.

A small groan escaped from her mouth seeing him yanking her hair continuously without thinking of the pain she is going through or how she feels.

He had misunderstood her, she didn't know this is his room, if she had known, she could have stayed miles away from it.

Maybe she does have a death wish but then, he is not done playing with her yet.

It will be no fun killing her, at least not now.

Blake was dripping wet from the towel,

he had just taken his bath hoping to clear his mind and think about other things aside the woman living under his roof and here she is in front of her yet again.

"I... I am sorry, I didn't know this is your room, please it hurts" Emma apologized, maybe that is the only way to get away from this monster of a husband.

Dragging her with her hair, Blake threw her out of his room in angriness.

He gritted his teeth together leaving the door half closed.

"Your things are in the last room on the right. Now let me make something clear to you little girl,

I do not want you in my room ever unless it's with my permission and do not interfere in my private life"

He said very briefly and closed the door at Emma who flinched.

Does he hate her that much to the extent of giving her a room quite far from his?

As she made her way to the room, her new room, she stumbled on her feet, she decided to let it be for today.

Since Emma got the news of her marriage with Blake, she haven't had a good sleep but tonight, she wants to stop thinking about anything that will cause her grief.

Maybe she will be able to get some sleep after a shower then she will try to adjust to her new life starting tomorrow.

  **The Next Day**

On a Sunday morning, the faint light of the morning moonlight entered into Emma's room piercing through her window.

She hissed, her hand crawled on the bed to get her phone to dismiss the annoying alarm.

Unless it's week days, Emma doesn't always set an alarm on weekends because Carl always wakes her up with those tactics of his.

After some struggles with her eyes closed, her hand landed on her phone.

She slightly opened her eyes with the thought of dismissing the alarm and go back to sleep.

All of a sudden, the memories of what happened yesterday flooded her mind.

Her eyes immediately split up with her jerking up from the bed.

She sat down momentarily closing her eyes to allow her memories sink in.

She looked around her environment and swallowed hard.

It wasn't a dream, she really got married to Blake Campbell. Her father left her at the alter and her Mum never showed up.

Emma's eyes fixated on her phone, she blinked rapidly in confusion. She couldn't remember bringing her phone to this mansion with her.

Her phone was with her brother yesterday and Blake never gave her the chance to go back inside.

How did it get here? Was it Blake? She thought about the possibilities of it being him, she had no choice but to believe it.

He's the only one here with her and capable of getting it for her.

Either way, she is happy to get back her phone. That means a lot to her at least, she won't be that lonely.

Aside Carl, her phone is her second best friend. She couldn't help but wonder how her parents are brother are doing without her.

She is certain that her brother would be gloomy for some weeks before he get used to her absence but she isn't sure about her parents.

They gave her off and didn't bother to turn up on her wedding day. She can't tell whether they will miss her or not.

Her Mum and Dad had always loved both her and her brother so what changed?

After the announcement, she felt like a stranger to her own parents.

She doesn't understand what is going on with them and their sudden withdrawal from her.

They've always been a happy family until this marriage came in.

What made them change towards her suddenly?

She pondered on it but got no answer to it. No one to answer the numerous question that kept flooding her mind.

Emma swiftly stood up from the bed, she made her way to the bathroom but stopped when she saw a glimpse of a letter on the bedstand.

She curiously grabbed the paper and skimmed through it.

Her shoulder tensed, her eyes widened in fear. She unconsciously staggered squeezing the paper in her hand.

Blake was really in her room and he is giving her the minutes to be out of here.

He is giving her ten minutes to get downstairs or she will be faced with the demon within him.

Just why is he doing this to her?
