Chapter 34

“Who keeps calling you?”

Viola asked after a few minutes into dinner. Leonardo’s phone had rung seven times. And he had ignored each call. It was bothering her and also interfering with their discussion. Anytime she tried to get a word in, his phone would ring. He would apologize profusely but it would ring again.

They were having dinner at the Pacifio in Via Della Moscova. She had been to the Pacifio once on business with her grandfather but it had been very brief. She had not had the chance ve to experience the full experience of the restaurant. It was a world class restaurant with a two months waiting tome at least.

How Leonardo got an invite on such short notice was beyond her. Or how he managed to empty out the entire restaurant just for them.

The chef had come to say hello to them, while also personally explaining what each meal was.

“No one.”

Leonardo answered as he dropped his phone again, for like the tenth time.

“No one? It seems important. You should pick it up.”
