4. Agreement

"What?" Eros shouted angrily.

For Eros, this man in front of him really didn't know himself, after killing Luna's parents, he wanted to make Luna become his wife?! He's kidding? Eros certainly wouldn't let that man marry his precious Luna.

"You know what you just said?!" growled Eros.

Sam took a deep breath. His eagle eyes then turned to Eros who was staring at him sharply. Whoever Eros is, Sam will not back down to make Luna becomes his wife.

"I know very well what I just said. Look, I can't ignore Luna's father's last wish! I know I don't deserve to make that happen with all the sins I've committed. However, I don't want to be even more sinful by ignoring his last wish. I will not force Luna to agree to marry me. However... please think carefully," said Sam with all sincerity.

Hearing the seriousness in Sam's tone, Luna melted a little. Sam is handsome, looks rich, and is educated. Of course, the decision to marry him was not for other purposes such as wealth and so on. With Sam's handsome face, this man can get a girl who is better than Luna.

"You think I'm going to let Luna accept you?!" Eros was furious again.

"If I knew an accident was going to happen, do you think I would do that? I wouldn't have cut the road if I knew such a bad incident was going to happen! I've never intentionally hurt, or even intended to hurt anyone!" Sam said half frustrated.

"With or without purpose, the proof is that you have done it! You killed Luna's parents!" Eros snapped.

Sam fell silent. There's nothing wrong with what Eros said. Whether he intentionally did or not, Luna really lost her parents.

"After all, there's no guarantee that Luna will be happy with you," Eros muttered while leaning his back on the sofa.

Eros took a deep breath and tried to be as relaxed as possible. Don't let him make a fuss when Luna is not feeling well or that girl, and also Jane will finish him off. Oh, that's so awful.

"Actually, you don't need to marry me! I don't want to marry someone who doesn't love me, let alone marry me because they have to! I know you didn't intentionally cause that accident, so let's just treat what happened as fate that we have to live with. " Luna said firmly.

Eros smiled contentedly, while Sam shook his head weakly.

"Isn't love come because we are used to being together? I want to marry you not because of coercion from anyone. This is for my own good. I will be haunted by guilt towards your father if I don't marry you. I don't want to live with such guilt. I don't know what kind of married life you dream of, but I will try my best to make your dream come true!"

"Luna, if you accept him, it means you're stupid! You don't even know who he really is, don't just because of his sweet promise, you immediately melt and accept him!" whispered Eros.

Luna bit her lower lip. She was contemplating whether she should give Sam a chance, or reject him firmly right now.

To be honest, Luna hasn't thought about things like marriage because she's still focused on her studies. However, that was his father's last wish. How should she deal with this? Just like Sam, Luna also feels guilty if she doesn't fulfill her father's wish.

"I think I have the right answer for this problem," said Luna who looked still doubtful.

"What?" asked Sam and Eros in unison.

Luna couldn't think of anything other than what she would say to Sam. So...

"In order to fulfill my father's wish, I agree to marry you," said Luna with difficulty.

"Luna, where is your mind?!" shouted Eros did not accept.

"Let me finish my sentence!" Luna asked.

Eros shook his head weakly. He really couldn't understand what Luna was thinking. For whatever reason, couldn't she just refuse the marriage and kick Sam out of there?

"Go on," said Sam.

"After marriage, we have to live in my house. Also, I won't do my duty as a wife to serve you! You said Love can come from getting used to being together, so let's just do it slowly. We can be friends first, get to know each other, and wait until that love really exists," Luna continued her words.

"What if it turns out that love never existed? You guys are just wasting your time!" replied Eros with great emotion.

"At least we're spared the guilt of a lifetime. We've tried our best to fulfill father's wish, and if things don't work out for us, it's not our fault. We can get a divorce and end this tragedy without regrets." Luna answered casually.

"Wow!" Eros shouted angrily. How can someone get married with such a purpose?

"I agree!" said Sam quickly.

Before Luna changed her mind, he had to make a deal soon.

"We can set a deadline for the process of getting to know each other! After we have passed that time, you can decide whether you want to continue our marriage or end it!" cried Sam quickly.

"How about three months?" she asked.

"Deals!" said Sam quickly.

"Hey, three months is too long!" protested Eros.

Luna frowned in confusion. The girl wondered, why did it seem like Eros didn't like Sam so much? Whatever he would ask Eros later. All that mattered at this point was that a deal with Sam had been made. The rest, she just lives with it. There's nothing to think about anymore.

"Then, I will come here with my parents tomorrow," after saying that, Sam started to leave Luna's house.

Eros pinched Luna's cheek so excitedly.

"It hurts, Eros!" Luna growled.

"There's something worse than your cheek right now! Your mind! Luna, God created your brain for thinking, not for display!" Eros was really annoyed.

"Eros, I made this decision after weighing many things and I believe this decision of mine is the most correct one!"

"Did you say that right?" shouted Eros.

Eros massaged his forehead carefully. He tried to stay calm.

"Luna, do you remember what your father used to say when we were in high school? Never trust any man but me and your father! All men are wolves! Do you think he can keep his desires in check when he's in the same house as you? Seriously, think about this one more time! Ah, no way, you have to think about it a hundred or a thousand times!"

Luna rubbed her reddened ears hearing Eros' chatter.

Yeah, she did have to be very careful later, considering she never knew beforehand what Sam was like. Hopefully, he is not a perverted man like Eros accuses him.

"Sam looks like he comes from a good family, looks like he's educated, so there's no way he's like what you accuse him of! Just positive thinking, can't you?"
