Playing Crazy With Another Woman's Fiancé

'Noah Blair? I think I've heard that name before. It can't be Noah Blair, the sole heir of Cruise International, Zara Jones' fiancé, right?' Jonathan was still trying to remember the name of the man in front of him.

"Noah, you don't have to say anything to him. Just get out of here." Grace didn't want Noah to reveal their relationship to Jonathan unnecessarily.

"Come on, so the reason you're rejecting me is because you already have another guy paying off your mom's hospital bills, right? Ok, I get it," he said with a mocking smile.

"You're a doctor here, right? I'll make sure you receive your termination letter from this hospital if you don't watch your tongue. So now you just remember my name and stay away from my women!" Noah spoke firmly and immediately drew a clear line for Doctor Jonathan.

"Okay, clear enough for me," Doctor Jonathan answered Noah directly before turning to Grace. "Grace, thank you for everything. I'm sure I'll repay you someday." He said it irritably and left without wanting to bother Noah any longer.

"Noah, you don't have to respond to her. He's crazy."

"He needs to be warned, darling. If I don't make it clear that you're mine, he won't stop approaching my wife." Noah looked furious at this point. It was evident from his arms around Grace's waist: "Don't protest anymore because I did what a husband should do to his wife's bully!"

Grace swallowed back the sentence that was already on the tip of her tongue. After all, what Noah had said and done was right. If Jonathan hadn't been warned so sternly, it was certain that he would have continued to harass her in the days to come.

"I'm late, Noah. I'll go in first, okay?" Grace did not want to prolong Noah's annoyance. She said goodbye from there.

"You're leaving after pretending not to know anything, huh? Doesn't your nose smell the scorched heart of seeing his wife touched by another man?" Noah grumbled in annoyance and turned his face away from Grace.

Grace acted quickly because she wanted to get things over with. She gave Noah what he had asked for in the first place. The beautiful nurse immediately grabbed Noah's face from both sides and gave him a quick peck on the lips before pulling their faces away again.

"Don't get angry again, and thank you for freeing me from Jonathan's interference. You're probably right, no matter how much I explain to him, he'll never believe me. So, good job, Noah—ops, honey." Grace chuckled to herself as she tried to deflect Noah's anger.

"It's not enough," he grumbled. "I'm still mad that I couldn't tell him you were my wife."

"So what else should I do?"

"Kiss me again and for a long time. Not just once." Even though her husband's answer was so blunt, Grace smiled at Noah's grumbling behavior.

She understood and was about to give Noah another kiss, but the sound of Noah's cell phone made the two of them break up this little romantic moment.

Noah, who was initially smiling, immediately dimmed his smile when he saw the name of the caller.

"What's wrong, Mom?" Noah spoke in a cold tone. He had long disliked conversations with his mother, especially when Mrs. Sayla insulted and made life difficult for Grace.

While Grace immediately hushed her voice and won her expression. She didn't even want her breath to be heard by Noah's mother on the other side of the call.

‘Noah, where are you, son? I looked for you at the office, but Lucas said you've been gone since this afternoon. Where did you go, Noah?’

‘Since you came back here, you haven't seen your mom. I miss you.’

"I'm home, but you're not. Anything else you need? I can't talk much, Mom." Without preamble, Noah asked firmly.

‘Why do you like this? What's wrong with a mother wanting to hug her son?’

‘I've cooked your favorite meal, son. You're coming home, right? We'll have dinner together at home. I'm waiting for you, Noah. If you don't come home, I won't have dinner!’

‘Be careful, son. I love you!’

Noah didn't answer but just gave a 'hmm...' in response to his mom.

"Grace, I'm leaving first. I'll pick you up tonight." Noah immediately confirmed this to Grace.

"No need to come here anymore. I'll take the bus to Mom's house. You just go home and rest." Grace also didn't want to bother holding Noah because, for her, today had been quite varied. She didn't want to add anything new when Mrs. Sayla found out where her golden son was and why he wasn't home.

"Where did you and I go home?" Noah asked in a sarcastic tone.

"You go to your parents' house, then I go to my mom's house. It's like that, isn't it?" She replied without feeling guilty.

"No! That's a big mistake." Noah was annoyed. "You go in now, and I'll leave for a while. I'll be waiting here when I pick you up later. We'll go home together."

Grace widened her eyes, but Noah's annoyed expression made her shut up. Grace knew that Noah's mood had changed and could not be denied at this time after talking with his mother. So Grace just shut up and nodded.

"I'll go first. See you tonight!" Noah gave Grace a soft, deep kiss on the forehead before walking away.

"Take care, Noah." Grace waved goodbye to her husband with obvious annoyance.

Meanwhile, behind one of the pillars of the hospital building, Jonathan was still observing Noah and Grace's interaction.

"His arrogant demeanor and the car he's driving show that the man is wealthy. But his name? I still can't believe that he's the man Zara is engaged to."

"But if that's true, I didn't expect you to be so brave, Grace. You're so reckless to play crazy with an engaged man."

Jonathan continued to mutter in annoyance. He did not expect his ex-girlfriend to have another man so soon, and that man was an unusual person. Besides being the heir to a wealthy family, Jonathan thought that Noah might be the fiancé of the famous designer he idolized, Zara Jones.
