Lola’s POV

My hands shook terribly—my whole body trembled like a leaf in a storm—and it only got worse when none of the hospital staff could tell me where Tyler was. Not even the doctor who had attended to him when I brought him in had a clue.

When they finally reached him, his voice came through the line, stammering and unsure, struggling to calm me down. But how could I be calm when even he, the man meant to reassure me, sounded scared out of his mind?

Has this ever happened to you? That deep, gnawing dread inside you because you’re hiding a filthy little secret—a secret laced with betrayal, aimed straight at the heart of someone who trusts you blindly. A person who follows you around like a loyal dog, unaware that you’ve sharpened a knife behind your back meant for him.

Then one day, he disappears.

Tell me, wouldn’t you panic? Wouldn’t your heart race at the terrifying possibility that he might’ve found out what you did—what you planned? That the betrayal you buried might be the re

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 77 Shot The Gun!

Logan’s POVI sat on the road that led to Lola’s home, just as her call came through with one clear instruction, take down Tyler!I had always known this day would come. Some might say that I was the root cause of all of these. But let’s not forget Jasmine’s skin was already darkening. Sooner or later, she’d be as dark as me.And when she’s as dark as me, would Tyler, a white man not start having doubts? Because how in the world would Tyler a white, Lola a white have a black child like Jasmine? And then when he sees this, what happens after then?Lola told me she was already poisoning him with some slow-working substance, but wasn’t that taking too long?I needed Lola back. I wanted my child. And now that I was out of prison, wouldn’t it be justice to reclaim what was rightfully mine?So I sat and waited. The first kill—Mrs. Highlander—had been almost too easy.Of course, she was just an old woman. How much trouble could she possibly give me?I barged into her house and found her sea

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 76 Lola’s Move

Lola’s POVTyler was not the kind of man raised to hit a woman. If it had been Logan I had done this to, he’d have stepped down from the car, opened my side of the door, and slapped me again and again. If he didn’t strangle me to death first. Survival would’ve been a matter of chance. But Tyler wasn’t like that. That was why I was still sitting in the car, my heart pounding but my face untouched. All I thought was that after he screamed, he would calm down, drive us home in silence. He might not talk to me for days, and then, eventually, since he still needed a child, he’d come around. He’d convince himself to move forward with me still in his story, because why not?Everybody already believed Jasmine was his. I remember the naming ceremony like it was yesterday. People from work, from his childhood, his long distant family, everyone had come. They brought gifts, took pictures, and called him “Daddy.” Even on her first birthday, he held her like she was his world. So now, with everyth

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 75 The Truth Hits Hard

Lola’s POV Tyler got closer to the car, his steps slow and heavy like he was dragging the weight of the world behind him. I watched in silence as he opened the driver’s door and slid right in without a word.As he settled into the seat, I noticed something in his hand—an envelope. My eyes narrowed. We didn’t come to the hospital with any envelope, so where had that come from? Why was he holding it so tightly, like it carried something that could ruin everything? He looked both sad and angry—an expression I wasn’t used to seeing on his face. I had planned to pretend. To lie through my tears and play the role of the grieving wife with puffy eyes, hoping to sway his emotions. But here he was—actually broken. Genuinely crushed. With real puffy eyes, and a darkness in them I couldn’t place. It unsettled me.Still, I thought, I could deal with that later. Right now, I had to make my move.As a woman, we are taught that emotions are our strength. We lead with them, we wield them. And no mat

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 74 Came Back of The News

Tyler’s POVLuckily, Jasmine had been treated, and she was no longer bleeding.“You might want to be more careful with your child, Mr. and Mrs. Cooper," the doctor said sternly. "Please do not leave her alone again. She’s just a child, and you know how children are, everything fascinates them. They don’t always recognize danger until it’s too late.”The doctor advised us calmly as he walked into the waiting room. He gave us a final look before turning and stepping back into his office.“Thank you, Doctor,” I replied, managing a polite smile as I turned to make the payment for the treatment at the reception desk.Afterward, Lola stood up, already carrying Jasmine in her arms. There was no need to lift her again, but she adjusted her gently, cradling her into a more comfortable position.Jasmine wasn’t asleep. Her eyes were half open, dazed, but aware.Normally, before all of this, I would have leaned in, rubbed her little head, touched her nose with mine, maybe whispered something swee

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 73 The Hospital

Lola’s POVAs I stepped back into the room, the scene before me froze my heart in an instant.Logan was holding Jasmine in his arms, cradling her gently, while Tyler stood in front of them. He looked dazed, confused, and visibly trying to process something that clearly didn’t sit right with his heart.I didn’t even realize when the bottle of spirit and the roll of bandage I had gone to fetch slipped from my hands and crashed onto the floor with a dull thud. What was Logan thinking? Did he not understand that he wasn’t supposed to carry Jasmine no matter what the situation was?Didn’t he know that he wasn’t even supposed to be near her?Was he not thinking at all? Was he not aware that Jasmine looked just like him?I could see the way Tyler’s eyes were flickering first to Logan’s face, then down to Jasmine’s. There was something dangerous in his gaze, something suspicious beginning to form.Without thinking, I rushed over to them. I yanked Jasmine from Logan’s arms and snapped at him i

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 72 The Notice

Tyler’s POVLola scooped Jasmine up immediately, panic flooding her features. She launched her into her arms despite the blood staining the child's tiny body. Lola didn’t mind, not in the least. And why would she? She was the mother, right? Her only concern at that moment was Jasmine’s safety. But as Jasmine’s cries grew louder, sharper, more piercing it became clear she was really hurting. The kind of hurt that wasn't just fear or confusion. No, this was pain. But where exactly was she hurting? What happened in this room that left her bleeding like this? While Lola frantically scanned Jasmine’s little body, checking for any visible wounds that could explain the blood, I took a step back, my instincts kicking in. I needed to understand what had happened here, and fast.I began pacing slowly around the room, eyes scanning every inch. Something must have gone terribly wrong. What had caused her injury? Then, a shout cut through my thoughts. “I found it!” Lola's voice rang out, loud and
