Eunice' POV

Everything Tyler told me was a lie. Every damn thing!

The scent that lingered on him, the way he called Lola names, the insistence that they weren’t together—it was all a lie.

If not, how was Lola pregnant for him?!

My heart pounded as I turned to Tyler, my voice rising. “What is she talking about, Tyler?!” I needed an answer, and I needed it now.

Lola scoffed darkly, crossing her arms. “I’ll tell you exactly what’s happening.” Her gaze locked onto mine, irritation flickering in her eyes.

“Tyler—your husband—impregnated me,” she announced smugly. “Since you couldn’t even give him a baby, I did. And now, he’s going to be a father, and I’m going to be a mother.”

The words hit me like a slap. My breath hitched as I turned to Tyler, searching his face for denial, for any sign that this wasn’t true. “Tell me this isn’t true, Tyler! Tell me she’s lying!”

But he didn’t.

Instead, he stared at the floor, dumbfounded, as if the words he needed had abandoned him.

I let out a bitter chuckle, though my chest ached. “So you really got her pregnant, huh?” The laughter faded as pain surged within me.

Tyler was the man my heart had chosen. The only man I had ever loved. But now… I swallowed hard. “I don’t think I can continue.” My voice came out low but firm, a quiet declaration of the decision forming in my heart.

“They say if you love someone, you have to let them go,” I murmured, watching him. Waiting.

But Tyler said nothing.

He just kept staring at his feet, unable to meet my gaze.

Lola’s voice cut through the silence. “So, what are you going to do about this, Tyler?” she asked, her tone laced with satisfaction.

I glanced at her, and suddenly, it all clicked. She was the reason Tyler never believed me when I told him I was pregnant. The reason he doubted me despite the two years we had been trying. And even though the doctors assured us that we were both fine, he had still chosen to believe her.

I placed a protective hand on my belly. “Don’t worry, baby. Even if your father has chosen another woman, I will take care of you.” I thought to myself

With that resolve, I spun on my heel and stormed into the house. My movements were swift, driven by a mix of anger and heartbreak as I packed my most important belongings.

Minutes later, I returned to face him one last time. “I’m done, Tyler.”

I expected him to react—to say something, anything. Maybe he’d laugh and tell me this was all a prank, that Lola was lying. That none of this was real.

“How could he have gotten another woman pregnant?!”

But I was a fool, wasn’t I?

Tyler remained silent, not even lifting his head. And that was enough. His silence spoke louder than words. It told me he had made his choice. That he was choosing her because she carried his child.

Pain twisted inside me, but I refused to let it break me.

Lola smirked, arms crossed over her chest as she tapped her foot impatiently, as if counting down the seconds until I was gone.

I lifted my chin, refusing to let her see the hurt in my eyes. “Have a nice life,” I spat, dragging my luggage behind me as I headed for my car in the driveway.

But just as I reached the stairs at the tip of our floorboard, something unexpected happened.

A wave of dizziness crashed over me, relentless and overwhelming. My legs wobbled, my balance faltered, and before I could grasp what was happening, my vision blurred.

Through the haze, I saw Tyler running toward me, his face a blur of urgency. But just as quickly, amid my confusion and rising panic, my gaze caught Lola. She yelped—a dramatic, pretentious scream—her eyes locked on Tyler as if she were jealous that his attention was on me.

Then, just as he reached me, he stopped. He turned back to her.

And in that moment, it felt as if someone had snuffed out the last light keeping the darkness at bay.

Everything went black.

A sharp, sterile scent filled my nostrils, pulling me from the abyss. The weight of my body sank into an unfamiliar mattress, my limbs heavy, my head pounding. A dull beeping echoed in the background, rhythmic and steady. I struggled to piece together where I was, what had happened—

Then, a voice. Soft. Familiar.

“You’re awake.”

I turned my head, my breath catching in my throat.

My mother.

The same mother I had disobeyed three years ago when she warned me about Tyler.

Back then, when I introduced him to her, she rejected him outright. “He’s incompetent in love,” she had said. “Easily swayed. Another woman will take him from you.”

“Mum?!” I had scoffed at the time, brushing her off. How could she judge him after meeting him just once?

But I hadn’t listened. I married him anyway, with or without her blessing.

And for my disobedience, she had cut me off. I was left to start from scratch, building a life with Tyler on my own.

And now… now, I saw the truth.

She had been right all along.

I blinked, trying to process her presence. “Mom?” My voice came out hoarse, weak. “What… how are you here?”

“The hospital called me,” she said gently. “They couldn’t reach Tyler. They checked your emergency contacts… and I guess you must have put my number there.”

A lump formed in my throat as tears welled in my eyes.

“Forgive me, Mum,” I choked out, the weight of my mistakes pressing down on me. “I was being a child.”

She sighed, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind my ear, just like she used to when I was little.

“I’ve waited for you to come back to me all these years, daughter,” she said, her voice warm despite the pain of the past.

Her words shattered the last bit of my restraint. The dam broke, and I let myself cry.

She squeezed my hand, her grip firm yet comforting. “Shh, baby girl. It’s okay. You’re here now. That’s what matters.”

I bit my lip, shaking my head. “No, it’s not okay. I was so selfish. You were right about everything, and I didn’t want to hear it. I thought I knew better. And now… I have nothing.”

Her expression softened, and she brushed her thumb over the back of my hand.

“You have me,” she said. “And you have a future. That’s why I need you to come home… and take over the company.”

I stared at her, stunned. Of all the things I expected, that was the last.

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 146 The boardroom

Gabriel’s POVWe stepped into the boardroom, and immediately I felt the weight of every gaze turn to me. The room was filled with tension, admiration, and something close to reverence. I saw how each person looked at me, with so much respect it almost startled me.They bowed so deeply, their heads nearly kissed the floor.“Welcome, sir!” several voices echoed. They were seated at the long polished table, each of them dressed in perfectly tailored, shining suits. Their wristwatches, sleek and expensive, glittered under the lights, clear indicators of fat salaries and well-fed bank accounts. The very instant I stepped fully into the room, after glancing at the faces before me, my attention was drawn to a particular empty chair at the far end of the table. It wasn’t just vacant. It stood out.It was the most decorated chair in the room.Intrigued, I squinted at the gold-lettered inscription carefully etched into the headrest of the chair. The words shimmered under the lights as I read th

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 145 What Fucking Name

Gabriel’s POV“Well… I don't remember telling you I needed your opinion on anything,” I hissed at him, my eyes narrowing coldly. And like a servant facing his master, too afraid to offend him no matter what the cost, he immediately went down on his knees.“I apologise for trespassing, sir. The name Gabriel’s Holdings is a great option for our company. It aligns perfectly with our vision, and I believe it would attract more clients to us.”He paused, voice trembling slightly as though weighing every word.“Do you want me to proceed and register the name duly as the new name?”His voice was frantic now, shaky with fear and desperation. At that, a slow smirk curved at the corner of my cheek. It was amusing.I couldn't help but wonder, was this how every PA behaved? Did they all drop to their knees at every disagreement or when their boss so much as frowned? Did they beg like this?If that was standard protocol, then wasn’t I just too damn fortunate to have been birthed by Josie Morgan?“

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 144 Gabriel To Office

Gabriel’s POVMy eyes rolled upward on their own in the sweet, uncontrollable moment of pleasure.Perhaps you didn’t quite catch what I meant. After this particular lady stroked my manhood in the jacuzzi, she dipped her head under the water and began to suck me.There was something about the way she did it that I couldn’t fully explain. And I’ll be real with you, it wasn’t the first time a lady had done something like that to me.Back when I still lived with my dad, there was this one night my friends and I decided to sneak into a club. We were underage, reckless, and full of wild fantasies. Our greatest dream back then was to catch a glimpse of a stripper, dancing around the iron pole, topless, free. Maybe even get close enough to touch her bare boobs. That would’ve been the highlight of our teenage lives. We stayed hidden in the shadows, trying to avoid the bouncers who could throw us out in seconds. But we weren’t ready to give up just yet. When the club eventually closed and the c

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 143 Inside The Dinner

Eunice POVThere was no one here aside from Adrian, who was already seated at the table. The only other people in sight were the staff, dressed in flowing white gowns, each carrying trays in their hands.Aside from the staff and Adrian, it seemed the entire place had been bought out for the evening. It was as though no one else had the right or need to be here tonight—like this space existed solely for the two of us.The moment Adrian saw me, he rose to his feet and stepped away from the table to receive me.I smiled. “Hello, Adrian,” I said as I approached. He reached for the chair and gently pulled it back, waiting until I had taken my seat before settling into his own.“Hello, Eunice,” he replied warmly.Earlier, I had made sure Julie didn’t accompany me here. She was my personal assistant, always eager to help, but this wasn’t a business meeting. It was a date. And something about this moment told me it was important I faced it alone, without her shadow. We both sat at the table a

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 142 The Dinner

Adrian’s POVI stood at the tall mirror in the hotel room, adjusting the final fold of my cuff. I was completely dressed in a brand-new tuxedo and polished Italian leather shoes. Everything I wore had been selected specially for tonight.Normally, I wasn’t the kind of man who lingered in front of mirrors or obsessed over my reflection after dressing up. But tonight was different. I found myself standing still, eyes locked on my own image, scanning every detail twice.I had to look perfect. In fact, if there were a word more intense than “perfect,” I needed to become it. This wasn’t just another evening out—it was a night with Eunice Morgan. That name alone carried weight, but beyond her powerful title, she was the woman who had somehow managed to steal my heart when I wasn’t even paying attention. So, if I failed to present myself well tonight, wouldn’t that mean I had already failed at the very first thing I had control over?We had agreed to meet at 7 p.m., and by 6:30 p.m., I was a

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 141 The Party

Gabriel’s POV“Of course, babe. Anything for you.”The response came swiftly. In fact, I didn’t expect it to be this fast. Not from girls in this kind of game. It was odd.Back then, I wasn’t the man I am today. I was just another guy, still living under my father’s roof, stuck in a routine that barely hinted at luxury. One particular evening, my friends and I decided to hook up with some girls online. We sent messages, waited long stretches of silence, and only got replies after about fifteen minutes—if at all.But tonight felt different. The replies were almost instant. Too fast.I stared at my phone, eyebrows raised. Something wasn’t adding up. Was it the way I had texted? The tone I used? Or maybe, just maybe, it had to do with the location tag automatically attached to my profile. One look and they’d know I was chatting from Morgan Street. That had to be it.I quickly typed into a new tab on my browser: “Expensive neighbourhood in Eerielake.”Just as I suspected, Morgan Street wa
