Sylvester’s POV.

I hadn’t been able to sleep in days. Every morning blurred into night, and every hour in between was a slow crawl of silence and dread.

The house was too quiet. Natasha’s absence pressed in on me like a tight space, stealing the air from my lungs.

She wasn’t answering her phone. Not a single reply to all the messages I had sent, even though I had sent so many.

I kept staring at my screen, hoping for just a Hi, anything at all to show that she was still there.

My assistant had been quick to find out where she was.

He told me she had taken a leave from work and was at her parents’ house. That gave me some relief, knowing she was safe.

But it didn’t answer the question burning in my chest—why had she left? Why without a word?

I sent my assistant to go speak to her and try to talk on my behalf. He came back later, shaking his head, saying she refused to see him or take anything from him. That was when I started to panic.

It didn’t make sense. None of it did

  • Marrying The Domineering Billionaire In My Sister’s Place   CHAPTER 131.

Natasha’s POV.I sat on the edge of the bed, clutching the phone like it was the only thing holding me together. My fingers trembled as I dialed Sylvester’s number again. It rang, again and again, until it stopped. No answer. I tried once more. Still nothing. My heart pounded in my chest, so loudly it felt like it echoed through the silence of the room. Each passing second without a reply only deepened the knot in my stomach. I didn’t want to believe it. I needed him to pick up and tell me it wasn’t true. That I hadn’t seen what I thought I saw. Jenna was lying. That the images in my head, the ones keeping me frozen and breathless, were all some horrible mistake.I called one more time. The line clicked. I shot up, hope flooding my chest.“Hello?” I breathed out, barely able to form the word. But it wasn’t his voice. It was hers.“Natasha,” Jenna said softly, her voice smooth, almost taunting. “Why are you taking his call?” I asked, feeling nervous.“He’s still asleep. When he wake

  • Marrying The Domineering Billionaire In My Sister’s Place   CHAPTER 130.

Sylvester’s POV.The venue was already buzzing by the time I pulled up. I could hear the distant echo of voices, cameras flashing, and someone calling my name even as I slammed the car door shut. I didn’t have the energy to respond. My mind was only on the launch. This was the moment everything changed. The moment I would be proving I wasn’t just the man who failed last time. My phone buzzed somewhere in the car, but I left it behind. I couldn’t afford distractions right now. Whatever it was could wait.I handed the car keys to Jenna as I stepped out without looking her in the eye as she approached me. She took them quietly, gave a slight nod, and walked off toward the service area. I didn’t ask what she was thinking. I didn’t care. I straightened my jacket and walked inside. The hall was sleek and wide, all chrome and glass, the type of space that made even the most ordinary man feel like he belonged to something futuristic. People gathered in clusters, talking into microphones,

  • Marrying The Domineering Billionaire In My Sister’s Place   CHAPTER 128.

Sylvester’s POV.I woke up with a strange heaviness in my head. For a few moments, I just lay there, staring at the ceiling. Everything felt off. My mouth was dry, my muscles ached, and the light that spilled through the windows made my eyes ache. I slowly sat up on the couch, wincing slightly at the pounding behind my eyes. The room was a mess. Glasses were left half-empty on the table, and the scent of strong liquor still lingered faintly in the air. I looked down at my clothes. I was still in the same shirt from the night before, only the top buttons were undone now. The memories came slowly. Jenna, Marcus, and some of the team members had come over. We had drinks to celebrate the launch. The launch was ready, and everything had been tested again and again. It felt like a victory worth toasting to. We laughed, talked strategy, and raised our glasses more than a few times. But after that, things felt blurry. I rubbed my forehead, trying to clear the fog, trying to pull out whatev

  • Marrying The Domineering Billionaire In My Sister’s Place   CHAPTER 127.

Natasha’s POV.I didn’t know where I was running to. The streets blurred past me, familiar buildings and faces all blending into one long stream of motion.I couldn't feel my legs, just the thud of my shoes hitting the pavement, and the tight, burning ache in my chest. My breath came in broken sobs, loud and ugly. People turned to look, but I couldn’t stop. I didn’t want to. I just wanted to run far enough to erase the image from my mind—the one of Sylvester lying there, half-dressed, with Jenna curled beside him like she belonged there. Like she had always been there.I had come here after being called for an emergency just to see this sight. I had come in thinking he was in danger. I panicked when I thought something had happened to him. I left work. Did his assistant want me to see this myself or was it a prank call from the anonymous sender just to prove he was right?I didn’t even sign out. I dropped everything the moment I heard his name. And now, all I could feel was the stin

  • Marrying The Domineering Billionaire In My Sister’s Place   CHAPTER 126.

Natasha’s POV.It was morning and Slyvester still hadn’t come home. I had waited until my eyes burned last night, telling myself he would call, that he would at least send a message, but the hours passed and there was nothing. Every time I picked up my phone and saw no notification, the weight in my chest deepened. I called him again and again until I had no strength to keep trying. When I finally gave in and lay down, it wasn’t because I felt calm, it was because I felt drained. When the sun came in through the curtains, the first thing I did was check my phone again. There were still no missed calls or messages from him. He had mentioned he was having a small party with his team to celebrate his launch and would come home immediately after it ended but he never did nor called.I told myself he was probably busy or something had happened that kept him back there, that there was a reason for this, but the silence was too heavy to believe that fully. I called again, the sound of the

  • Marrying The Domineering Billionaire In My Sister’s Place   CHAPTER 125.

Marcus’s POV.The party hosted by Slyvester had just ended and the air in the penthouse still felt heavy with the weight of what Slyvester was planning to launch. He had taken them by surprise and they had thought he was joking earlier until the party happened to show how serious he had been.Everyone who attended the party and heard him share more details about his new product had looked at him with awe, and I had to keep my expression steady, forcing myself to wear the same proud smile as the rest of the team. Inside, I was torn apart. He had finally revealed it — the thing Henry had been desperate to know for months and I couldn’t bring myself to tell Henry before thinking he was just bluffing but with him celebrating the pre-launch, I could tell how serious it was. With the further details he shared, the new car wasn’t just an electric vehicle, it was an intelligent machine that could think, decide, and drive without a single human hand touching the wheel. The way Sylvester spok
