Chapter 2

I flipped my eyes open, and I saw a ceiling. I tried to sit up, but my head hurts too badly. "Where am I?" I asked myself, just then the door flipped open and a lady in uniform walked in.

"Oh, you are awake already?" The lady smiled at me.

"Who are you?" I asked, and she just smiled, and said, she would be right back before leaving the door.

I sighed softly as I glanced around the room. After a few minutes the lady  returned with an elderly man, who you could say was in his fifties.

The man approached me, and stopped right in front of me. "It's good you are awake, so you can finally tell you who you are and also where you are from." The man said, as he stood beside my bed side.

"Who are you sir?" I asked.

"I'm Mr onward, and the owner of this Mansion, and who are you?" He asked me after introducing himself.

"I'm.. I'm…" I stuttered, as I couldn't remember anything about myself, and my life before I arrived at the spot where I was being chased by gunmen.

"What aren't you saying?" The man asked.

"I'm sorry sir, but I can't remember anything about myself, the only thing I remember is the fact that I was being chased by some people, and that I later blanked out, that's all I remember." I explained, and he sighed heavily.

"So that means you still can't remember your name too?" He asked, and I nodded.

"This is interesting, but nevertheless I guess you should be hungry by now." He asked, and I quickly nodded, then he asked the lady to bring me some food before he finally left my room.

I sighed softly and tried to relax back on the bed, as I held my head into my palm. It really hurts so badly, and of course I know why.

But how come that was the only thing I could remember of myself. I don't really know what more to do or where to go if this man finally allows me to leave, because I don't really know anyone about me again.

I thought, but just then the lady came back with some plates in her hand which I guess was the food. The man who introduced himself to be Mr onwards sent her.

"Here is your food ma'am, please sit up and eat." The lady said, as she stood closer to my bedroom after dropping the food in the nightstand drawer.

I slowly sat up, and moved closer to where she had dropped the plate. Immediately I opened it, and the sweet aroma of pasta and meatballs hit my nostrils, and my mouth watered.

"Is all this for me?" I asked, seeing how many the meatballs were. And the lady laughed and nodded.

"I will be going, please call me when you are done eating." The lady said, was about to walk away when I stopped her.

"I don't know where to meet you." I told her.

"Oh my bad, I will come back to check up on you, and then I will take the dishes away if you are done." She said, and I told her it was better that way. She just smiled and finally went out of the room.

I turned back to the food, and smiled seeing how good the food looks, and I just couldn't wait to devour it. I quickly grabbed my cutleries, and started eating without wasting my time.

After a while the lady returned to my room, and went straight into the door inside my room. She stayed there for a while before she finally came out. 

"I have mixed your bath now, so go in there ma'am, and have your bath, while I take this away." The lady said, and I slowly stood on my feet, and started walking over to the door, I saw her coming from.

The bathroom is actually really big and beautiful, and I like the scent of the soap the maid had put in the bathtub. " Maybe I really need this right now." I said out loud, before I took off my clothes, and got into the bathtub.

Immediately I entered back into the room, the lady was there holding a dress. "Who owns that?" I asked.

"The boss asked me to give you this dress, and he wants you to wear it, and come down to his library, so that he would be there waiting for you." She told me, and I sighed softly.

"But I don't know anywhere in this house, so how am I supposed to go to his library?" I asked.

"You don't need to worry about that ma'am, I'm going to take you there." She told me.

"OK thank you so much. I really appreciate this." I said, and took the dress from her, as I went back to my bathroom to dress up, since she was there.

I came out of the bathroom fully dressed, and we both went to the boss library like she had said. She stopped at the door, and asked me to go in while she stayed outside waiting.

After a while I was in front of the boss like she called him. "Sir, you sent her to get me." I said,

"Yes I did, and please have a seat." He said,  pointing at the chair opposite his, and I had my seat.

He cleared his throat. "Since you can't remember anything about yourself, I will want you to stay here as my daughter before you will finally regain your memory." He said, and I smiled immediately and thanked Him. 

He told me I was welcome to the family, and also said he was going to introduce me to his son and wife when they finally returned in the evening. 

He told me they were in his firm, and taking care of business, but he decided not to go over to his firm that day because he wanted to Know about me since he was the one that saved me, and take me back to my family if it was possible.

I immediately went on my knees and thanked him, while he just smiled without saying anything more.

He asked me to call the maid who had brought me here, and I was going but he stopped me. "I will call Maya, since you can't remember your name." He said, and I nodded, and told him I like the name, before I finally went outside to call her. 

He handed her a credit card, and told her to take me out shopping and get me some new clothes, and also told her to take me around the house.

She nodded immediately, and held my hand as we both started walking out of the library immediately.

The maid and I went to the mall, and I got a lot of clothes, before we finally returned back to the Mansion. And immediately we were called to have lunch, after which She helped me arranged the clothes into my closet.

She grabbed my hand after arranging my clothes, and she started showing me around the magnificent Mansion. It was really so beautiful, and I admire all what I saw in the compound, and even inside the house.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked the maids who was taking me around the house.

"Sure, please go ahead ma'am, ask me anything." The maid said,

"Is your boss always this good to people?" I asked.

"Yes ma'am he is really good to everyone regardless of their status." The maid replied to me.

"Hmm," I exhaled. "Ok thanks for the information, I really appreciate it." I said, 

"Come on ma'am, it's no big deal." The maid said, and I smiled as we both continue our walk around the house.

I finally returned to my room after she had showed me around the house. I was really so tired by then, because we have really walk around for hours. The Mansion was actually so big that it's really so stressful to walk around, so I had to  go straight to bed because I needed a good nap.

Soon it's was evening and I was seated in my bed as my mind went off to Mr Onwards words. He told me he was going to introduce me to his family this evening at dinner.

Honestly right now I'm eager to meet his family, I'm sure they would be as nice as him, honestly I really can't wait to find see them.

Since I woke up from my little nap, all my mind and has been on Mr Onwards family, and all I just want is nothing more than to see them finally.

I thought as I remain seated on my bed, but just then a knock came on my door, bringing me back to reality. "Yes who's there?" I asked.

"It's me ma'am, I'm sorry to disturb you, but dinner is served." A voice said from outside my room, and immediately I knew it was the cook, I became overwhelmed immediately.

"Ok, I will be out shortly." I shouted so she could hear me, and just then I heard her footsteps fading away.

I smiled immediately as I stood up. I have already had my bath, and dressed into a good looking clothes, that I was sure would be good enough to meet the people I was about to meet right now.

I quickly when to the mirror, and arranged my hair properly, before I finally left my room. I locate the dining room, wasn't a big deal to me because I have been there already at noon, so I already know my way.

I entered into the dining room, and saw Mr Onwards, and a pretty lady, whom you could say was in her late forties sitting beside him. 

I guess that must be his wife, so I moved closer, and Mr Onwards noticed my presence, and immediately called me to come to him. 

With a smile plastered on my face, I rushed to him, and he introduced me to his wife, who just frowned at me, and went back to her food, and somehow my heart was broken.

I wasn't expecting anything like that to happen, because I actually thought that his family would love me, just as he loves me, but that's wasn't what was happening now.

Just then a young man walked into the dining room. And I froze immediately, he was a clear description of a demigod. He was having a short hair, and a wide chest.

He was also tall, and got the cutest smiled ever. I really couldn't believe how handsome he was, and I wonder who he was. 

He walked passed me, without even noticing my presence, and went straight to his dining room, where he pulled out a chair, and had his seat.

"Sorry I got here late, and I was a little busy with something before in my room." He said, and just then Mr Onwards called me.
