CHAPTER 3

"Seriously? You're giving me this tracking device? What do you think of me I will escape? FYI I'm not at fault so I have no reason to run away!" I angrily told them after I hung a tracking device on my wrist.

Annoying, its like I don't have any escape. I feel like I have no freedom in my situation.

"You need this for your safety as well, just press the red bottom if there is a problem" He said and without any hesitations I pressed it.

I was startled when suddenly something sounded loud like serine. The noise is scary because it looks like there will be a tsunami, seriously. They grabbed their cellphones and looked at me seriously.

"I have a problem, why here at Sir Vescinzo's house?" I asked in surprise, because we were just outside the gate at his house.

"Kid, If you are in danger just press the red one and if you see the crazy woman make sure to press the green if you are not really at fault you will do what we ask you to do" Johnny V said.

"We're not rich enough to sponsor a house for you, just stay here first, don't worry Vescinzo won't take advantage of you because you're not he's type" The annoying guys said—Velasco. I frowned because I was annoyed I pressed the red bottom again, Nothing. I just want to annoy them.

"Tomorrow is Saturday and you are not allowed to go out" Chief Velasquez said seriously.

"All right we'll go first" Velasco said as he bid a wave.

Sir Vescinzo and I looked at each other. Actually I'm embarrassed, because I'm in another house now. What kind of tire did I put in!

"I saw you crying earlier ..." Out of nowhere Sir Vescinzo suddenly spoke. I turned to her and she looked surprised.

"Ahh just about Julia, I'm sure you won't believe me if I tell you the reason ... no one will believe me after that fucking news" I said angrily and those thought flashed again through my mind—the photos that were spread about Miss Madielaine/Monica. Who ever she is.

"Ah! Number one rule is not to cursed" he suddenly said to me. I almost rolled my eyes.

"You have someone to be with you, my daughter" Okay. I don't care as long as it's quiet here, I'm fine.

"There are also helpers here so if you need anything just tell them" He said again, we are now walking to a room.

"Ah I have something to say" I guess he needs to know about our Acquaintance with that woman.

"What's that?" We stopped halfway through the walk.

"About the woman, did you know her?" I asked.

“We don’t know anything about his profile because no one knows her” he told me. Am I really the first to know his name?

"Hmm I think she had split personality" I muttered. He was slightly surprised.

"Where did you know that? Are you sure?" He immediately asked, I nodded.

"Actually when I was heading home that time when I saw her, I was going to bring her in the police station but suddenly her aura changed she even said her name to me!" I explained, remembering the scene we had earlier.

"Wow, you should've called us"

"Julia called the police!" I insisted. His eyebrows furrowed. I tilt my head a bit out of curiosity.

"She didn't call." I took a deep breath. What's wrong with Julia? Why is she doing this to me. She even took a photo of me while fighting for my life.

"Did your friend cheat on you?" He suddenly asked, he even patted my shoulder.

"Madielaine" I suddenly said that made him surprised.

"The woman's name was Madielaine but all of a sudden her name changed and she said she was Monica"

"What?" He asked incredulously

“I told you! She had a split personality!” I shouted because what I was saying was just a joke for him."

“Don't shout Kid! My daughter bis asleep” I bite my lower lip out of frustration.

“So tell me everything” I continued walking.

“Promise me that you will also give me an update about Madielaine or Monica”I said, he nodded so I don't worry anymore.

“When we talked, she said that she was Madielaine and that she was kind unlike Monica the demon and then he said that I was not like the others — I would not take her child" I stopped Sir Vescinzo just listened to me for a moment.

“And then she suddenly shifted her personality into Monica and then she suddenly came out with a knife and was about to stab me." I was slightly stopped.

"Are you hurt?" He suddenly asked. There were only two people. Those two people who truly care for me. Aunt Melody and Julia.

"No, Julia came and we ran at the same time. She said that she called the police. How come you didn't go?” I uttered.

“All right, I'll tell this right away in the head police” we stopped in front of a door. 

“This is your room. I'll leave you first here I still have to go back to the station" He said and tapped my shoulder again and again. I just nodded and entered the room he pointed out.

The police already left so I'm alone now. I roamed my eyes all over the room. The color theme is just beautiful—white. I guess this is their guest room.

I still don't have my clothes and I only have my bag and cellphone. Maybe Tita will come tomorrow. Why didn't I  ever make them wait, They were so excited to the point that they didn't even gave me time to packed my things.

I was just hurting myself because minutes later I found myself staring at her post. I never thought Julia could do this to me. Forced? I don't feel that, I'm just numb and blinded by the fact that I have a friend.

I wiped my tears with the back of my palm. If she cheated on me, she don't deserved the tears.

I felt hungry so I went out of the room. It's past eight o'clock. I went straight to the kitchen and just stood there like a fool. I suddenly thought. Why am I even in a house owned by a policeman with some people close to his life?

I was suddenly embarrassed so I just turned around and was about to return to the room when I stopped. I am facing a girl now — she is small.

She is beautiful and white with a strap of violet hair. I didn't say a word immediately and looked at her in amazement. He was smiling and scanning every part of my body.

Okay she is weird. Is she the daughter of Sir Vescinzo?

"OMG! Are you the girl that my Dad is talking about?" He said cheerfully because she was excited to meet me? I Dont know.

"Ahmm Yes?" I asked but later I was surprised when she suddenly hugged me.

"Hii! I'm Veronica! But you can call me Nica" he enthusiastically introduced herself and held out his hand to me. I smiled awkwardly and shook his hand.

"Mary" I introduced.

"You're beautiful!" Suddenly she said. I'm not used in compliments okay?

"You're way better" I said.

"I know!" She said laughing and even pulled his hair and put it behind his ear.

"Ah, I'm going back" I said and was about to walk when she stopped me.

"Where are you going? I'm hungry can we have a dinner together? Let's eat" he whispered and went into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. Nice timing.

"I baked cookies earlier, just in case you like it" This woman was blabbering on. "Ahm can I ask?" I asked her to start the conversation.

“It's okay as long as it's not about my crush and—I love kpop! Just trying if you want to ask about it and maybe—

"How old are you?" I cut her off from what she has to say.

"13"

Seriously?I can't believe my question, that's why.

"Of course Mary" She said smiling while busy putting cookies on the plate.

"Oh this, it's delicious" she said and handed me a plate of cookies, I just took one and tasted it.

"You know I like baking, so soon I want to build a bakery" she said smiling. This girl is funny.

"Are you alone?" I asked suddenly.

"Mommy is at work and I already let my maids to sleep" She said and ate his cookies.

"And Yes, I'm the only one so I'm so happy you're here! It's like I already had a Older Sister!" Then she giggled.

"I'm sorry, I was asked to stay here because of their case" I explained that I thought it wasn't okay with her but the child was still happy!

"Even if you stay here forever, Mary!" She said and suddenly hugged me. I would have been happy if I hadn't been thinking of Julia.

Julia also told me that she wanted me to be her friend forever but nothing really last forever.

Now I have a trust issue.
