“Are you trying to dodge me on purpose? If yes, I'd like to say you are doing a terrible job while at it.”

Janice lurched and almost fell off the mare she was on as she heard his voice. “Bloody hell, Paxton!”

She glowered at him and clutched her still thumping heart.

“Hearing my name coming out from your cupid shaped lips is the sexiest thing I've ever heard.”

Janice rolled her eyes as she stared at him. She knew if he hadn't startled her, she wouldn't mention his name.

She didn't know why he irritated her. It was not like he didn't look good.

Heck, all the ladies would like to have him. Except her, since his presence often annoyed her.

Perhaps she didn't like how he was constantly flirting with her. And she didn't know how to tell him off yet.

“You look radiant each time I stare at you. Blue looks good on you.”

“You saw me earlier,” Janice said. She tugged the rein of her mare, galloping away from him.
