Chapter 66

Scarlett's pov

"Hit it with all your strength," Silas called out behind me and I ignored the warmth of his body behind mine as I tried to concentrate on the punching back in front of me. I tightened my hand into a firm fist before I took a swing at the punching bag.

"Exactly," Silas announced and I couldn't help the warmth that spread through me.

"Let's try actually combat now," he suggested just like he had for the past two weeks. The first time I had tried engaging in combat with Silas I was scared shitless even though I knew he would go easy for me.

I turned to him and crunched into position while his brown eyes raked over my body, ensuring I had the right stance before he nodded and got into position as well.

We circled each other for a moment and when I made no move to attack him Silas quirked a brow at me.

"We don't have all day Scarlett," he called out to me and something fluttered in my chest at the way he called my name.
