Chapter 128

Ciara's POV

“Here's your food ma'am,”

I leaned back in my seat and stared at the food that had been placed in front of me.

Who kidnapped someone only to spoil them and make them eat to their satisfaction?

Since I got here all I had received was treatment fit for a Queen.

It didn't make any sense. The room shouldn't be so organized and well lit.

In the movies when someone was kidnapped, they were usually thrown in a basement with poor lighting.

I didn't hate the fact that I was receiving great treatment, it was just very suspicious.

It had me questioning when the punch would come, when I'd fall and when their true intentions would be revealed.

I wasn't complaining because If they hadn't killed me off yet it meant they weren't done with me and I was valuable to them.

It also meant they needed me to stay alive until they got whatever they needed.

“Look who finally decided to wake up,”

My whole body tensed as the familiar voice reached my ears. I looked

  • Mate for the Feuding Alpha Brothers   CHAPTER 129

Chapter 129Orion's POV My desk was filled with urgent work I had to attend to and yet all I could think about was Ciara and how she was doing. After Bryan showed up here last week, it got me thinking that perhaps I had been foolish to trust Sophia so blindly. After all she could have taken a picture of Ciara at another date or perhaps she sent Brianna to take the picture that day but didn't end up capturing Ciara. For all we knew, Ciara was in the hands of some unknown people while Sophia was here milking me for all I had. It was clear she wanted me and was obsessed with me. She could just be using this situation to force my hand. I clenched my jaw and slammed my fists on the table. If that woman was just deceiving me, I would snap her neck before she could even blink. Someone knocked on the door as I leaned back in my seat and I sighed. I muttered a gentle response and closed my eyes not really interested in socializing at the moment. “I have been knocking! Didn't you hear

Chapter 130 Unknown Person's POV “My King,” one of my men walked in and bowed his head. I grunted and he raised his head. “Speak,” “My King, the killings got the desired reaction from the people.” I nodded, pleased with the reports. “Do you think this is the perfect time to strike?” I asked as I turned my head towards the man seated beside me. Sage Wells grunted but didn't reply. I gritted my teeth not liking his obvious show of disrespect for me but I shrugged it off. He was the oldest man in the werewolf community and people looked up to him. He had been kidnapped and brought to me forcefully so I didn't expect him to be responsive to me. However, he should be scared that I might have his head whenever he is disrespected. He knew, oh but he knew that I needed him and that gave him the confidence to show me up in front of my men. “Well, what do you think Sage?” “I don't have anything to say King.” Even the way he said King felt fake and insulting. I clenched

Chapter 131 Ciara's POV I closed the toilet bowl and leaned up, wiping my face with the back of my hands. What was happening to me? This was the second time today I was puking my guts out and I hadn't been given breakfast yet. After my little tiff with Brianna, she placed an embargo on my meals. She dictated when I would be fed and what I was served. I didn't think Sophia knew about what she was up to but it wasn't like Sophia liked me that much to stop her minion either. For all she knew I could starve to death as long as she could get Orion to herself in the end. I groaned as I walked back into the room and slumped on the bed feeling weak and completely drained. The door was flung open and I didn't bother to look up knowing it had to be Brianna because her accomplice barely checked on me. The day he kidnapped me was the last time I saw him, not that I was checking for him or anything. “You look like shit.” She said as she saw me and I grunted. I felt like shit too.

Chapter 132 Bryan's POV “Alpha,” Ryan greeted as he walked into my room two months later. I didn't raise my head or acknowledge his greeting, not in the mood for anything other than finding Ciara. “Alpha, the council would like to know when you'd be meeting with them.” I snorted and closed my eyes. I didn't care about them. “Any update on my mate? It's been two months Ryan,” My eyes were closed but I could picture how Ryan bowed his head after my statement and grinned. “The search parties are doing their best to track bee location and I believe we'll have a result soon,” he said and I shook my head. I had been hearing the same story for two months. Orion was busy playing house with Sophia while I was stuck with the responsibility of finding Ciara. I had no doubt Orion still cared about her because he wouldn't put up with that woman if he didn't however, it didn't look like it and my wolf sas slowly losing it. For every day Ciara remained lost, my wolf became wilder a

Chapter 133 Ciara's POV Pushing the tray of food away, I inhaled sharply and swallowed back the bile of nausea. It's been a week since I found out about the baby and it hasn't gotten better. The morning sickness wasn't letting up or staying in the mornings. I had them in the evenings depending on the mood the bay in my womb was in. If only I was back home with Bryan, I'd have relaxed and embarrassed the symptoms. But since I was doing my best to hide it from my captors, I couldn't exactly be caught puking my guts out at odd hours. It would not only raise suspicions but it would raise alarm. I might get sent to the hospital or worse a doctor might be brought here to check me out. All it took was one test and I would get caught. Bryan was the father of this child and he deserves to find out the truth before anyone else. Tears welled up in my eyes as I imagined the pure joy that would appear on his face when I delivered the news to him. He had been so interested in L

Chapter 134 Bryan's POV Turning on my side in bed, I opened my eyes and yawned. A smile slowly made its way to my lips as I recalled the events planned for today. Ciara would be coming home today after several months of being held hostage by her crazy relative Orion had been so sure that Lucas and his men would come up with better results than the other men we had assigned to the job a while back. I had my doubts but with no other options available, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Lucas didn't disappoint and gave us the first major clue. He had managed to do what we couldn't do in the months since we had been conducting the investigation. The best part was the place had been infiltrated with our own people who knew that Ciara's life was the top priority. I had repeated it constantly to Lucas that I'd rather have Ciara held hostage but alive than dead and gone. Despite having all this set aside, I couldn't brush off the nagging feeling in my mind tha

Chapter 135 Bryan's POV “How long have you known?” The old man made a sound in the back of his throat but didn't respond. I shifted in my seat feeling very uncomfortable. After a while of silence, I cleared my throat. “I didn't mean to keep the truth from you. I was just hoping I'd have found Ciara by now.” He grunted but still kept quiet. I cleared my throat. “Please say something,” I begged, almost about to fall on my knees before him. “I know I should have told you. I was wrong to keep something as important away from you but I thought I was protecting you and her family from the pain.” He nodded and finally spoke, his words shocking me. “How have you been holding up?” I blinked, wondering if I had heard him right. “You…” He sighed. “Look Bryan,.I get why you did what you did. Am I angry you hid the truth from me concerning my granddaughter's situation? Yes I am. But at the end of the day, you did what you thought was best and I can't fault you for that.” My eyes

Chapter 136 Orion's POV “Hey babe,” Sophia whispered as she walked into the dining room. I grunted and turned my face away when she tried to kiss me. “What's wrong? Did someone upset you?” She asked and I scoffed. Was she really that oblivious to the disgust I felt for her? I motioned for one of the servants to set the table and pushed Sophia away lightly. She huffed and went to sit down but she kept touching me and leaning over to put her hands on me. “Don't you take a hint? I wish to be left alone,” I yelled, unable to tolerate her behaviour anymore. “Why are you reacting like this? I always do this,” I shook my head and stood up. “Have breakfast by yourself.” I stormed off, fuming and shaking in anger. I made my way to the room and slammed the door hard behind me. She ran after me and walked into the room after a few seconds. “What is going on? What did I do wrong Orion?” I shook my head and pointed to the door. “I just want to be on my own. Is that too m

  • Mate for the Feuding Alpha Brothers   CHAPTER 153

Chapter 153Orion's POV It's been two days since I watched my brother and Old Man Heartfield leave me behind to search for Ciara. In those two days, they were all I could think about. I came so close to getting into my car and joining them but each time I stopped myself. Whenever Mikey's name or an image of Lacey's face when she had been crying the other day came to mind, I told myself it was better one of us stayed behind because the goddess forbid that we all perished together leaving these kids on their own. Because of that, I allowed myself only those two days to wallow in self-pity but afterwards, I pushed them to the back of my mind, refusing to obsess over it any further. In the last few days since they left, I had managed to get closer to the children. Missing thr boys was a constant in my life but with Lacey and her brother around, it was at least bearable. Since meeting the duo the first time, there had been a deep yearning inside me to get to know them. Granted I wa

Chapter 152Ciara's POV Sunlight bounced into the room and I groaned as some of it got into my eye. Shielding my eyes, I sat up and looked around trying to make sense of my environment. The last thing I remembered was that I was leaving the old woman's home so why was I here? Except Bryan had changed the decor in my absence, this didn't look like our room. “Good morning ma,” I heard and jumped, my eyes searching frantically for the source of the voice. The sources were two girls who couldn't be more than twelve that were standing together at the foot of the bed and smiling at me. “Who are you?” I asked before I could help myself. I was so close to losing it. They exchanged glances and then turned to me. One of hem, the slender one walked up to me and bowed. “The Alpha King would like to see you.” As I was trying to take that information in, more light began to flow into the room. Looking up, I saw that the other girl had moved to the curtains and pushed them aside. With b

Chapter 151Bryan's POV “Are you still reading that?” Orion asked as he walked into my office a few days later and I nodded. The grin that had been on my face since the day the letter bearing Ciara's message had arrived was still on my face. How wouldn't I grin? Finally after months of trying to find her we got a letter from her telling us she would be home in a couple of days. Just when our hopes were down. It was like the moon goddess had finally smiled down on us. And if that wasn't worth a smile, then nothing was. “It's so nice to see you like this again, you know.” He whispered as he sat down in the seat across from me. We were back on talking terms to some extent because I was no longer mad at him and seeing him with Lacey had done something to me. It was a good thing Ciara was coming home soon so that situation could be resolved once and for all. All the guilt, secrecy and suspense would kill me if we didn't finally let everything out in the open. “Yeah, I can't wait

Chapter 150Ciara's POV “You're finally up,” I smiled just as my eyes started to close again. “No, no, you have to eat something first, sleeping beauty,” the old woman chuckled and helped me sit up. While eating, I dozed off a couple of times but she didn't mind after all she was used to it. It had been five months since Sophia ordered James to kill me and he let me go. After I landed in the old woman's home, it had been a repeated case of falling in and out of consciousness. When I wasn't in a semi comatose state, I was eating or rather she was feeding me because I couldn't do anything yet. The woman deserved a medal for how well she had taken up the role of my caregiver in these months. Anyone else might have given up on me already but she had been steadfast and so patient, never asking too many questions. When I asked why I was so groggy fearing that just maybe the old woman was planning something sinister, she explained that my body had shutdown to ensure I recovered fro

  • Mate for the Feuding Alpha Brothers   CHAPTER 149

Chapter 149Bryan's POV There was a hollow feeling in my chest that wouldn't go away as I watched Orion walk out of the room leaving Lacey with me. Granted Lacey asked for me to hold her but still. Orion was her father but neither of them knew that and Lacey had only ever known me as her father. “Are you okay baby?” I asked as I patted her back gently. Walking into the room and seeing her like that kicked up my protective instincts. This would have been the perfect time to let Orion shine with her and to let their father-daughter bond grown but I couldn't let that happen. Was I that inconsiderate? No, it wasn't that. I just simply saw my little girl in pain and rushed to check on her. I probably should have envisioned her reaching for me to get comforted the moment I walked in but that was the last thing on my mind when I saw the state she was in. Orion had seemed upset when he walked out of here and I wished I could tell what was running through his head. “You're probably b

  • Mate for the Feuding Alpha Brothers   CHAPTER 148

Chapter 148Orion's POV “We'll find Ciara no matter what and way before the Alpha Rogue King is able to get his hands on her.” I told Old Man Heartfield as we settled in his office. After briefly entertaining the children, we had moved to the office to round up our conversation. We didn't want to risk either of the children hearing anything we were saying, especially about Ciara's disappearance when we've been feeding them lies about her being on a trip. It was a stupid lie, one no one would even fall for but children didn't have so much wisdom and took everything you said to be true especially if they trusted you. The lies were becoming too much for me. Lying to Bryan was one thing but now lying to the children especially Lacey was a completely different thing. As I looked into her eyes and told her that Ciara travelled, it felt as if multiple pieces of glass were piercing my heart. I couldn't put my finger on it but there was a strange connection between us, kind of like a bo

Chapter 147Bryan's POV Two weeks later…“I'm glad you're feeling much better,” Orion said as soon as I parked in front of Old Man Heartfield’s house. Leaning back in my seat, I killed the engine and shrugged but I didn't reply. Perhaps all it took was for me to see him in pain for me to come back to my senses. Barely two weeks ago, I had been spiraling out of control and losing my mind but now, my mind was clearer than ever. Ciara's disappearance still kept me up at night but now I knew better that wallowing wasn't the solution, not by a long shot. Orion had lost so much in such a short amount of time and maybe if I had sucked it up and handled my grief better then finding Ciara would be the only thing we had to worry about. Now we had Ciara to find, two missing boys and a serial killer on the loose. “What are you thinking so deeply about?” Orion asked, tapping my arm and I was pulled out of my thoughts. What an idiot I have been….He sighed when I didn't reply and opened th

Chapter 146Orion's POV It's been four weeks since Sophie up and left and my men haven't been able to find any trace that'd lead me to her. If she had left all by herself without taking my sons then I wouldn't have bothered but she took them. James and Jeremy had become an essential part of me and knowing that they aren't mine biological hadn't changed that. The love I felt for them when I thought they weren't mine hadn't diminished just because she said they belonged to someone else. If anyone was to blame in this situation then it was her lying cheating ass for deceiving me all these years. She made me leave Ciara, my tree mate and she did this to me. Such a witch. It's no wonder Bryan has always hated her. He had been able to see through her bullshit while I had loving up on her back then. When she eloped with some other guy before our wedding I should have moved on immediately with someone else preferably Ciara. That should have been the sign I needed to know that she wou

Chapter 145Ciara's POV I finally got a hold on my wavering emotions and pushed James away. He never expected the strength or force of my push and it sent him staggering a few feets backwards. “What the hell do you think you're doing?” I asked, anger bubbling inside of me. “Have you lost your mind?!” I raised my hand and slapped him, the anger I was feeling radiating off me in waves. He blinked, clearly in shock and then rubbed his lips with his fingers as if trying to wipe off any traces of the kiss. “You're testing me, woman, and I hate being dared."The eye roll that followed his words was an unconscious response to his silly statement. “Stay away from me and keep your filthy hands to yourself, you disgusting pig!” James sneered. "You don't give the orders. I'm the one in charge here."I spat on the ground close to his feet and leaned up with a raised eyebrow. "You're nothing but a spineless coward who accepted Sophia's orders simply because you're too whipped to see that sh
