The pact

"I don't believe you," Sebastian Anderson said, his face a mask of disappointment. He looked out the window, as if he couldn't believe what he was hearing from Greystone Alpha. "I don't believe it," he muttered to himself.

From across the table, James looked Alex in the eyes.

'Alpha, what do you think we should do?' He was projecting at him with trepidation. Alex gave him a sideways glance.

"I assure you," Alex stated emphatically, "that this is not a lie."

Sebastian slammed his fist against the table, yelling at the table. "DO YOU EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE THAT MY – MY DAUGHTER –? He couldn't finish because he was too enraged. He snatched Alex by the collar and glared at him. "My daughter is not in any discomfort. Do not drag her into your grudge and the mess that you have made for yourself!"
