Nova’s POV.

The bed felt so fluffy under my skin and I spent hours running my hand through the silk.

I couldn't believe it.

Back at home, mom would be so pissed if she found me sleeping on a bed, talk more of having such a soft mattress over my body.

Over here, the omegas were treated nicely. The expensive clothes they wore were so different from the ragged clothes Mom made me wear.

As I recalled how mom would always remind me that I was not worthy to own any nice clothes, years gathered in my eyes because the wardrobe in the room had so many beautiful dresses and jewelry.

All of this felt like I was being treated as a princess rather than a maid.

I'd initially thought I'd miss home but as I laid on this bed, inhaling the beautiful scented candles by my bed, I became grateful that Jake took me away from there.
