Nova's POV.

You know that moment where you wish your eyes were playing tricks on you? Yeah, today was one of those days.

I couldn't believe what I was looking at.

Killian was the other man in Corvina's life? The realization of that sent dread running down my spine.

Here I was, thinking about how I could finally find peace with Killian, and maybe love too. But even that had been snatched away from me. My heart was wrenching with pain, making emotions bubbled in my throat. I couldn't even tell if I was feeling suffocated or weak.

My body trembled as I stared at his features, my gaze filled with disbelief.

"Corvina, hold on," Killian said, stopping Corvina who was already pulling at her zippers.
