We were fighting tooth and nail. Everywhere I looked, wolves were on wolves, ripping each other to shreds, and I couldn't tell which side was winning. But I had faith in my pack. They would lead me to victory, this I knew. Dustin stood behind me as we began to advance on both the luna of the pack, and the beta. The luna was clearly heartbroken, her hair seemed to fall limper than it had just a moment ago, her stance making it seem as though she no longer cared about dying, but the beta was protecting her. I didn't feel sorry for her in the slightest. They both looked up as we approached, not bothering to run. They knew we would have to fight. Staring at the luna, I slowly lifted my hand, about to kill her, her panicked stance indicated to me that she realised she didn't want to die. "No wait! Please!" She begged, falling to her knees, "You're pack died because of you, you know!" She blurted out. I stopped mid-advance, my eyes regarding her with uncertainty. She saw it and scramb
I dulled my sentences, not wanting to feel the pain of death, to feel the pain that Dustin felt as he watched me die. I didn't want to feel the disappointment from my pack that didn't understand my motives. But when I felt nothing I begun to panic. What had I done? By dulling my senses had I accidentally made my death an eternal nothingness? I tried to calm my thoughts, and by doing so, opened up my senses again. The sound of battle. I slowly rose to my feet looking around me, both mine and Ryan's pack surrounded me, fighting off the bloodmoon pack. They were fighting for me? "Cassandra." A voice said next to me, an airy quality to it. I turned to my left, to see a man and a woman next to me. I gasped. "Mom? Dad?" I stared at them in shock, before throwing myself onto them only to reach empty air. They gave me sympathetic looks. "We're sorry, Cassandra . . . So sorry about all of this. We knew your wolf would be special. No normal wolf forms a bond with an alpha like that."
DUSTINTugging on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, I whistled lowly at the forest I was stood in. It was so eerily devoid of any wildlife. It was creepy.Few animals lived around werewolves, but there were always some."Might wanna take a look at your pack if I were you." A deliriously sweet voice called out somewhere in the distance.I froze, there was something about that voice . . ."Yeah." She said. A cocky tone to her voice. Like she were taunting someone.I subtly sniffed the air, and began to realise that many wolves had passed through here, were they being attacked?Cries of pain and struggling suddenly sounded out in the direction the sweet voice had come from.Just the sound of it made my wolf uneasy, I could feel him pulling me towards the sound.Reluctantly I agreed with him that I had to go over there. I wasn't sure why . . . something about that voice just drew me in. I had to know who that was.I began to run in the said direction, all the time arguing with my wolf about
Avery shifts back in her human form, gathering her clothing, she quickly wears them behind a tree. While crossing the pack border she immediately feels a presence around; making her alert. Her instincts kick in as she gets alert and changes her stance. She looks around and suddenly a wolf leaps in the air and comes in front of her and shifts. Avery releases a sigh of relief and slowly a smile builds up on her face after looking at her best friend Via who is currently putting on her clothes. "It's been awhile since you last visited us." Via speaks as she engulfs Avery in a bear hug. "How did you guess that I'll be coming today?" Avery questions and a small smile forms on Via's face. "I know you Aery." Via replied smugly crossing her hands against her chest. "And?" Avery added and she huffs releasing her hand and letting it fall down against her sides. "Rachel couldn't stomach the news." She mumbles and Avery bursts out laughing and shakes her head, smiling at her friend's childi
AVERY"You are coming with me," Byrone orders as he settles beside me.I know with my mate I would have to give up everything I have worked for; my world, my people, all my hard work and the world that I have created. But I'm not ready yet, to give up all my dreams. But right now is not the time to fight and that too with the strongest alpha in the world, no I just have to wait it out for the perfect time. Had it been some other Alpha I would have fought but with Alpha Byrone that's not possible. He's not only powerful and strong but merciless and I have already disrespected him, I can see the fury in his eyes and that sadistic smile tells me that I'm not going to have an easy life there."No one disrespects me and what you did today is beyond disrespectful." Byrone comments calmly.I know better than to reply him so I stay quite. The journey to his pack was rather uneventful. But the moment I stepped out of his car, the day became extra eventful for me. This is what happened. The mom
MISCHAThe rogue attacks have always been a huge problem for us. And now if there is going to be a war, that's disastrous! Rogues though do not belong to any pack and are untrained but they are merciless killers and a war with rogues has never ended in good terms for any pack.Fear, instant fear is what they bring out in you. Though I am trained and I can fight rogues easily but rogues in large amount are dangerous as they do not follow the rules of war. They are crooked and wicked and don't play well with the rules. They do anything and everything to win.I clutched Avery's hand tightly as we walk together towards the clearing where Byrone will pass the judgment.'Avery shouldn't come there. She isn't part of our pack yet and I don't want her there.' Byrone mind links me and I huff in annoyance.I can't understand how he can do this to his mate! I know he has been looking for his mate for long and decided on Stella in the end as he can't remain mateless all his life. But for once he
An expression of awe, proud and strong reaction of 'unbelievable' I guess this was exact reaction I was waiting for on Byrone's face when I finished reciting my story. On the very first day I told him that he don't even know me well but he labeled me as undeserving and what not; and he didn't even try to know me. Of course he regrets it now, it's clearly written on his face.Satisfied with his reaction, I step away and turn towards Mischa smiling softly at her."Why didn't you tell me?" she asked me as she loops her hand with my elbow."Never got the chance." I smirked, and continue. "Plus, I loved the attention I received." I winked as she chuckles."You wicked girl never mind I still love you; damn you stole my heart exactly on first day of our meet! Wow!" she commented and winks back."Whoa, are you playing for the other side?" I questioned playfully as I release my hand from her hold. Because let me tell you upfront I am straight." I stated as I try to keep a straight face but fai
I don't know for how long I practiced, but when I returned back to the pack house everyone was already having dinner. But what mattered was my mate was not present on the dinner table.I shrugged. He must be working or something. But it's very late, he should eat. But who cares right? How can his pack members eat without their Alpha? Is this his habit total workaholic? Should I say something to him? But who cares? I don't.'Right' Leona snaps.I move past the pack members directly towards my little cozy room, I am in a strict need of a shower. After showering I become worried about clothes as I have no clothes, come on! I was abducted, not on a holiday that I will have my clothes. I came out of washroom with nothing but with a towel on my body and a small towel draped on my head in turban style and move towards the closet in my room.Maybe Mischa would have been more gracious and kept some clothes for me? Who knows? I open the closet to find it actually filled with clothes which are a
