SIERRA

I swallowed hard as my eyes blinked continuously, the hair at the back of my neck stood tall.

Kane grunted without taking his eyes off Kol who took a step back on hearing the voice of the man.

"I asked a question young men, what is the reason for exchanging such angry words this bright morning?" He asked, I could feel his steps approaching faster than I wanted.

My fingers trembled as the second ticked by.

"It's nothing serious," Kane muttered looking away. Kol threw a sideways glance at Kane with his brows raised.

The man laughed heartily as he walked closer to us, I buried my nails in my flesh to ease the panic brewing in my stomach.

"It seems you boys are having a scuffle because of this young lady." The voice sent thorns into my heart, piercing it as he drew nearer till he stood behind me.

I had to turn, I knew I could turn my back to him for so long because it would likely raise his suspicions but I had to regain my composure, I couldn't face him with fear playing all

TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ SIERRAHis voice resounded in my head over and over again, he knew who I was, he knew my shameful past and he was here like the devil ready to drag me to hell.My hands trembled uncontrollably so I hid them behind me. There was no way I was going to let him think he knew me.I would never agree that the little girl who stood shamefully while she was being priced, with dirty clothes on her skin was me. If he was going to play this card, I would be doomed to let him win. "Hello Alpha Gerald, if I'm not mistaken, we were just introduced." I sent him my best smile hoping he would be too dumb to perceive the fear that sipped out through my skin pores. "So yes, you know I'm King Thane's daughter." Alpha Gerald's lips curled up in a sneaky smile.Old fox. I held myself from spitting on his face, it wouldn't do me any good to claw my fingers on his face in his royal chambers, not when Kane was still here. "You know what I mean Sierra," he said in a drawl walking closer

KANE"This is old Robbs, he was present when the rogue attacked," Kol said, gesturing to a hairy man who stood with his back hunched towards the earth. After discussing with the Alpha, Kol's father, Kol mentioned that several eyewitnesses had seen the rogues’ attacks. We walked down into the pack streets to meet the witnesses.I held out my hand to the old man, he looked as though he was in his 80s. "It's nice to meet you, Robbs."Old Robbs stared up at me with his eyes sunken in, "Who are you child?" He asked in a hushed whisper.Kol sent me an awkward smile, "He is like this at times." He turned to the old man leaning down towards him. "Robbs, this is the Lycan King's son, he is here to ask what you saw the other day." Old Robbs suddenly dropped to his knees leaving us in shock as we all stared at him. "Oh, Lycan King, Long may you reign." All eyes turned to me. "The Lycan King is my father, you may rise now." I said ignoring the eyes on me.Old Robbs struggled to his feet and Kol

SIERRASuddenly, the day turned gloomy and the birds stopped whistling as the realization of what Kane had done dawned on us. My body still trembled as I stared at the two men before me. When Kane had sliced off Alpha Gerald's head, his blood had soiled my already torn dress. Kane's face held a shock, he never expected it to be the Alpha, his eyes moved from the Alpha's dead body to Kol's emotionless face."Kol," Kane called softly, taking a step towards him but Kol moved back. My breathing turned shallow, I witnessed how these guys had accepted themselves and how pure their friendship was, seeing them right now broke my heart."You could have controlled yourself." Came Kol's calm voice which made me tremble even more in fear."Try to understand, Sierra was in danger so I had to step in." "Danger?" Kol's laughter was dry and void of every emotion. "And now he's gone." He whispered, still staring at his father's lifeless body.Kane swallowed, "I was only

SIERRAKane's face was twisted in pain as the chains tightened around him. The pain I felt earlier was gone, my legs felt energized as I ran towards Kane. He couldn't move, I expected him to break through the chains but he lay there hopeless, howling painfully."Kane!" I screamed trying to yank at the chains but my hands burned making me step back. It was wolfbane, the chains were heavily laced in wolfbane, and the smell of it choked me, leaving me in a coughing fit.The chains were pulled away from me and went deeper into the forest, Kane was dragged on the ground ruthlessly. His skin where the silver chains held him was burnt, and the wolfbane weakened him even more.I glanced around looking for the attackers or anything I could use to help him. My eyes landed on a stick lying close by, it was useless but it was better than nothing.Snatching it up, I ran towards Kane. I hit the chain continuously but it was useless, I couldn't even make a dent. What was I even thinking?Using a

THANE"What the fuck!" Zane exclaimed from the back of the car. If it were under normal circumstances, I would have told him to mind his language but I couldn't find the courage to mutter the words. The sight before us was unbelievable, the village was burnt to the ground and thick black smoke filled the air."Don't tell me that this was what we perceived back?" Dane said in a voice deeply laced with unbelief."I think so," I replied, trying to compose myself. "What on earth happened here?" I muttered looking for a spot to park my car. There was no person or wolf in sight, everything was burnt, the houses, trees, and even the cars. After finding a suitable spot that was free from fire and smoke, I parked the car and the boys climbed down.Earlier, the boys had told me that Kane was in some kind of trouble with Sierra, he had tried calling me but I had left my phone in my study. When I heard what had happened, we tried calling his mobile but it wasn't reachable, after some time, it

THANEI stood up staring at the door wondering who'd dare barge into my royal chambers and spill such nonsense."I'll be back," I said to Kane and Maya as I walked out of the door towards the entrance. On getting to the door leading me out of the house, I spotted Alpha Erin and a group of other Alphas walking into my house."Erin, what are you doing here?" I asked, surprised. The last I recalled, he was placed on suspension and he wasn't to show his face till further notice but here he was in the company of other Alphas in my own home. Alpha Erin sent me a look of disdain before strolling in as though he owned the place. I was tempted to reach for his neck and slash his veins but I chose to keep calm, I didn't want his trashy blood to contaminate my home. The alphas present had an angry look on their faces, it was obvious that they hadn't come to say hello. They meant serious business. What the heck was Erin planning? I wondered as I watched them as they entered a single file."What

MAYACold ran through my veins as I heard what Alpha Josh had told Thane. A part of me always knew that a day like this would come but I never expected it to come so fast. Sierra was still unconscious, I couldn't ask her what exactly had happened. The kingdom was at stake, Thane was in trouble because of us. I had come out earlier to speak to him but unfortunately, I managed to overhear what Alpha Josh was saying."You have to act fast Thane, from the looks of things, Erin and the other Alphas are not going to relent." The Alpha said.Thane's face looked calm and it was difficult to read but I could tell that he was deeply lost in thought. "Even if you don't want to, you just have to, it's for the best." He advised but Thane still sat unmoving, his arms folded as he gazed at his feet in a thinking posture. Not wanting to make my presence known, I turned and quietly walked back to the inner room, careful not to make my presence known. I pushed open the door, the boys were no longer

MAYAI took a step backward away from him, I was shocked by his accusations but that wouldn't stop me from doing what I came here to do. There was no way Alpha Erin could know what happened in my past, it was impossible."What do you mean by that, Alpha Erin?" I said in a scolding voice."You don't have to pretend, Maya." He was smiling at me.I paused. From the look in his eyes, it was as though he knew something but it wasn't possible, we were far away from Alpha Elvis and the others, Erin was just bluffing. That was what I tried telling myself but I was still finding it difficult to believe it myself. My heart sped up in panic as his eyes stared down at me accusingly. It was ages ago since I was looked down on in that manner but I held my chin up not wanting to give him the satisfaction of seeing me break. "I would advise you, Alpha Erin, don't go about calling people names, in case you are not aware, that is defamation," I said with a frown on my face. I made sure to fold my arms

SIERRAI stood frozen, my eyes wide and my stomach turning. The rabbits weren’t moving anymore. The white one had stopped twitching first, then the brown one slumped beside it. My hands were still outstretched, fingers trembling as the energy from the failed spell faded into the air like smoke. The silence that followed was unbearable. It was as if the whole world had paused to judge me, to make me feel the weight of what I had just done. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t even blink. All I could do was stare at what my magic had done. The warlock didn’t say anything at first. He just walked up to the small wooden pen, stood over the lifeless bodies, and looked down with a heavy sigh. His face gave nothing away, no anger, no sadness, just quiet acceptance of the outcome. Then he slowly turned to face me."This," he said, his voice low and sharp like a blade slicing through still air, "is what would have happened to your sister and Ariel if you had jumped into this blindly."The words hit

SIERRAI had just finished spending time with my mates. My body still felt warm, and for once, my mind was quiet. I was finally beginning to feel like myself again. But then I heard shouting from outside. My heart jumped. I threw on a robe and rushed out.I barely made it past the hallway before I saw everyone gathered in the courtyard. And in the middle of it all… Ariel. Screaming. Crying. Holding a knife.“What the hell?” I whispered under my breath, my eyes widening.“I said let me in!” she yelled, her voice cracking. “You’re not the only one who loves them! I deserve to be in there too!”She was pointing the knife at her own chest, trembling like she was seconds away from doing something stupid.I didn’t even think twice.I raised my hand and whispered the first protection spell that came to mind. A shield burst around her in a dome of blue light. The moment it closed around her, the knife fell from her hand and clattered to the floor. She looked around in confusion, then rage.“W

ARIELI paced the hallway, scowling, my arms folded tightly across my chest. For the fifth time, I tried to step forward, right into the damn hallway, and for the fifth time, it felt like I’d slammed into a wall. But there was no wall. Just… air. Heavy, invisible, and impossible to pass through."What the hell is going on?" I growled, pushing again, harder this time. Nothing. It was like the space itself refused to let me through. My breath hitched as anger flared in my chest. I wasn’t someone who got denied things. Not rooms. Not people. Not Dane.I turned on my heels and stormed down the hallway, heading straight for Maya’s quarters. If anyone knew what kind of stupid magic trick was being pulled, it had to be Sierra. I knew her mother was always around the others. Always listening. Watching, and I needed to see her, and I asked what the hell was going on.When I got to her door, I didn’t knock, I kicked it. Hard.“Ariel?” Maya’s voice called out, soft and hesitant. She opened the d

SIERRAThe warmth of their arms around me made it easier to breathe. The tension that had wrapped around my chest like a tight rope was starting to loosen, bit by bit. Zane’s steady heartbeat under my cheek, Dane’s arms around my waist, and the calmness in Kane’s eyes, everything felt safe here. I felt like I was finally home. But it wasn’t just the comfort. It was the way they looked at me. The way they held me was like I was the most precious thing in the world. Like they’d fight the stars if it meant keeping me safe. I hadn’t realized how much I needed them until this moment. I needed to feel wanted, needed to be touched, loved, needed to feel alive again.“I’ve missed this,” I whispered, glancing up at Zane, my fingers gently resting on his chest.“We’ve missed you more,” he replied softly, brushing his lips over my forehead.“I don’t like seeing you this stressed,” Dane murmured behind me, nuzzling into the crook of my neck. “Let us help you relax.”Kane was kneeling beside me ag

SIERRAI ran out of the room angrily and frustrated. I didn’t want to talk to anyone. I didn’t want to explain how I felt, not even to Alpha Thane. I just needed to get away, to let the frustration and fear out in a way that made sense. And that’s why I shifted. The air felt cold on my fur as I ran, my paws pounding the earth beneath me, my mind barely able to process anything except the need to escape. My heart was racing, and the adrenaline pumping through my body only made the anger and fear swirl together like a violent storm.I ran deeper into the woods, ignoring the world around me, just focused on the rhythmic pounding of my paws. The trees blurred by in a mixture of green and brown, the earth beneath me firm and solid. But even in my wolf form, the worry gnawed at my insides, and all I wanted was for the weight to lift, even if just for a moment.Eventually, the tension in my body started to ease just a little, but I wasn’t running anymore. I slowed down and then stopped, my b

SIERRAI walked into the room, my mind racing with questions. The man, the warlock, was standing by a table covered in books and strange artifacts. His eyes flickered up when I entered, and I could feel the weight of his gaze. He knew why I was here."You are here," he said, his voice calm but heavy with something I couldn't place.I didn't waste time with pleasantries. "I need your help," I said bluntly. "I need to learn how to use my powers. And I need to do it fast."The warlock raised an eyebrow, his expression unreadable. "Binding spells," he said slowly, almost to himself, "are tricky. Especially one like the one you're asking for."I didn’t have the patience for his caution. "I don’t care about how tricky it is," I snapped. "I need to stop her. Ariel is... she’s going to ruin everything. I can’t let that happen. I just need to know how to make it work."He looked at me, the seriousness in his eyes growing. "Binding spells are not something to take lightly. They tie you to someo

SIERRAI could feel my whole body burning with anger as Ariel’s voice cut through the garden like a sharp knife. She just stood there, smirking at us like she hadn’t just interrupted something important, something real.I turned to her, fists clenching at my sides. "Don’t you have anything better to do than irritate me?" I snapped, my voice louder than I intended. Dane shifted uncomfortably behind me, but I didn’t care. I was tired of her games.Ariel just giggled like I had told her a joke. "Nope," she said with a sweet shrug. "Turns out, irritating you is way more fun than I ever thought it would be."I wanted to slap that smug smile off her face. I really did. But I held myself back because that's exactly what she wanted, to push me until I broke. Then she turned her full attention to Dane, her smile softening in a way that made my stomach twist in disgust. "I miss Dane," she said in a whiny voice. "I want him to stay with me for a while."I stepped protectively in front of Dane w

DANEI woke up to the sound of soft giggles. My head felt heavy, like I’d slept for days, and for a second, I didn’t even know where I was. But then I blinked and saw her, Ariel, sitting at the edge of the bed, grinning at me like I was some kind of adorable pet.“You look so cute when you’re sleeping,” she said in a sing-song voice. My whole body tensed up instantly. Memories rushed back….the food, the plan, everything. I shot up, heart pounding.“What happened?” I croaked, throat dry.Ariel gave a playful shrug, almost like she was proud of herself. “You tried to drug me, silly. But I’m smarter than that.” She leaned in closer, lowering her voice like she was sharing a secret. “I swapped the plates. You ate the laced one instead.”I cursed under my breath and swung my legs off the bed. I couldn’t even look at her as I stood up."Aw, don't be mad," Ariel called after me as I stormed toward the door. "You needed the rest anyway!"I didn’t answer. I just left. When I finally made it do

SIERRAI didn’t move. None of us did. We just stood there and took it as Ariel laughed like we were the biggest fools she had ever seen. Her voice echoed off the walls, high and sharp, like a knife digging into my already shredded nerves.“Oh, my sweet, sweet Sierra,” she said between giggles, wiping a fake tear from the corner of her eye. “You actually think a few little weeds are going to save your precious sister from me?”I kept my face blank, even though my heart was hammering against my ribs. If I gave her any more reason to doubt me, she would tear us all apart.Ariel circled slowly around me, hands clasped behind her back, her boots clicking softly against the floor. I could feel the others tense up, ready to move if she tried anything. She leaned in close, so close I could smell the sickly sweet scent of her perfume. “You have no idea what you’re dealing with,” she whispered. “No idea how deep this bond goes.”I clenched my teeth to keep from flinching. I would not give her t
