Chapter 3
AMBER'S POV
Feat gripped me and I started sweating because Nina was known for keeping to her words. She was also ruthless and it was certain that she wouldn't go easy on me, just as she had said. I envied all those who were cheering others, they didn't have any fear or problem. I was here, worrying about how I would die in the hands of a cruel girl.
The time that I dreaded was here, it was my turn and Nina was already pressing her knuckles to get ready for the duo contest. Everyone became silent and I could tell why they became silent, it was because they were curious about how I was going to strive in this contest, considering the fact that Nina was my partner.
"Let's take a small break." Mrs. Phillips said as she left the field.
I exhaled in relief as I heard that. I was going to prepare myself mentally for the contest. While others were chatting happily, I stayed in a quiet place all alone, dreading the end of the break.
Then I saw a dark portal with my side eye. It was a really dark one, with dark mist. I was drawn to it and then when I got there, I went in and in a minute, I fell from nowhere and hit my hand on a rock, which sent a sharp pain through my body. Then I stood up, and I looked around, it was spooky and dark. Although, I could see. It was just like every other night in our world. But this place seems deserted.
I was in the middle of nowhere and this scared me out of my wits.
“How did I get here? I...I was on the field a minute ago." I muttered under my breath, looking confused.
Then I saw a strange person who seemed to be a man. He wore a cloak with his back faced to me. I felt chills go down my spine and I started shivering in fear as I wondered if I could call the attention of the person, or I should leave quietly.
I needed to go back as I didn't understand what was going on. But because I was too scared to ask him what was going on, I turned around to find the portal.
Then I turned around and was shocked to see that same man in a cloak, with his back faced to me. It seemed as if I had not moved from the spot I was in when I started walking back, hoping to see the portal that would transport me back to the field.
Then the man started laughing hideously and it echoed everywhere. Fear gripped me and I could feel my legs shaking. I prayed for morning to come, so I would feel less scared.
“If you are thinking morning will come, do not be deceived. We have no sun over here. He started to turn around slowly to look at me. I felt I was going to faint if I saw his face, I dreaded seeing his face because I knew he was going to be scary.
To my surprise, he was faceless. It was just a cloak that seemed like a ghost. I fainted, and how I knew I fainted was when I woke up, cleaning my eyes.
Everywhere was still dark, and I knew that this was serious, and I had to take this head on. Those scary things won't allow me to move forward, and that won’t be good. I stood up and kept moving forward until I saw a dark alley where I could see nothing but somehow, I knew that was the way to where I was going to.
Fear gripped me as I made my way into the alley and couldn't see a thing, then I felt a cold hand hold my wrist.
“Gotcha!” It said, in a husky voice.
I screamed out loud and released myself from its grip and ran. While running, I ran into a thick streetlight and it really hurt my head.
“Ouch! Damn it. Do they have streetlights that don't work.” I said, as I felt it, to be sure it really was a streetlight.
"We are letting you go and this is because of the works your brother did while he was alive. Someone close to you, sent this portal to you, but thank your stars or you would have been erased from existence, today." The man said and before I could understand what was going on, he snapped his finger and I was back to the field.
"Amber, where the hell are you going to!" Nina shouted in anger.
I could see that Mrs. Phillips was back and everyone were settling down.
~
Nina and I stood at the open ground, opposite each other and ready to start the contest.
"You can start." Mrs. Phillips announced, watching us closely.
Nina didn't waste any single second before she started striking at me, although, I was lucky enough to dodge her claws. Then she tricked me by making me lose focus and that was when she had her first dig in my tummy. I groaned and growled lightly, this was a pain that was too much to bear.
To others, it must have seemed normal, but to me, it felt like I could die from this pain. Nina didn't hesitate to give me another strike which I couldn't dodge anymore, because I was already weak.
I fell to the ground, feeling faint already and Nina didn't stop. It was like she was carrying out a murderous act on me.
"Stop right now, Nina!" Mrs. Phillips ordered, in an angry tone.
She came closer to us and then pushed her away.
"If I wasn't going to say anything, you would have let her die?" She lashed out on Nina.
"I'm sorry, ma'am. I just wanted her to be provoked to fight for herself." Nina defended, speaking softly.
"That's nonsense. How would a weak omega be able to defend herself against you?"
All of a sudden, people began to scream so loud. I was curious about what was going on, but I was weak at that moment.
"It's the Triple Terror!" I heard someone screaming so loud in excitement.
"Those boys are back again." Mrs. Phillips said, then heaved a sigh.
AMBER'S POV The harsh knock came again, instilling more fear in me and I realised that I was done for. It was obviously Diana and worse still, the triplets weren't in the mansion so she was going to make use of this opportunity to bully me like she used to. My hands shook slightly as I reached for the door knob. On a normal sense, I shouldn't have opened up but I knew that if I didn't, it might lead to more trouble and that's exactly what I was trying so hard to avoid.I felt helpless once more and I had no other choice than to just open up. I shrank backwards in terror as soon as she barged in aggressively, a menacing scowl on her face as she glared hard at me. If looks could kill, I'll probably be six feets deep by now.“Why didn't you open up earlier…?” She asked, eyeing me with distaste and I shook my head, shaking like a leaf. “Nothing…I was about to sleep when you knocked…?” I explained sincerely as she frowned deeply. “Don't feed me that crap….I know you!!” She stated, movi
AMBER'S POVAramis stared down at me, his expression unreadable as usual. I swallowed as my heart began its usual flutters. Yeah!! It flutters anytime I'm around them. Most especially when I'm been close to them, his hands were literally wrapped around my waist as I shuddered a bit. His gaze held no emotions, just blank like the usuals and I find myself getting used to it.“I'm…I'm.. sorry..” I mumbled innocently, avoiding his intense gaze as I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear nervously. He didn't say a word, his intense gaze remained solely on me as I shimmered. I wondered what was going through his mind, they were so hard to read and understand. I suddenly felt choky and tried to gently wriggle out of his grip but he held me back firmly as I gasped out, my eyes widening a bit.He remained silent for a while before opening up to speak. “How about now..?” He suddenly asked, in a deep gruffy voice that got my thighs dampening with wetness.Yeah!! That's how much effect his voice
AMBER'S POVI instantly noted the sarcasm and jealousy in his tone. Why did it seem like he felt bittered about what I said…? And why does he seem to keep using my words against me…?“No…that's not true..” I called out as Aramis eyes sparkled with interest, his gaze solely on me. “I enjoy being around you all, I feel safe only with you guys…” I mumbled innocently, fiddling nervously with my nails as I noticed them staring at me, their eyes litting up with interest. And I thought I saw an affectionately gaze but I shook my head, it should just be one of my numerous imaginations again. “But..” I suddenly uttered as they creased their brows slightly but they didn't say a word. I took my lips in, wondering if I should go on with what I had in mind. I hesistated for a while but I soon summoned up courage to voice it out. “I don't like when you're being cold to me, that side of you all scares me to death.” I dropped the bombshell, facing down to aviod their intense gaze.I didn't know how
CHAPTER 60: AMBER'S POVWhy that tone..? It seemed possesive, it was also laced with a bit of jealousy and rage. Their stern gaze remained on me as my lips quivered slightly, finding the right words to use. For a moment, I threw Diana a swift glance to find her fuming, her fist clenched as she eyed me in distaste.“Why does all this sounds like an excuse to me?” She suddenly voiced out as the triplets turned to glare at her sharply. She flinched but went on with the crap she was saying. “Don't believe her lies. I said she confessed to me this morning that she actually went out to meet a guy and they had an intimate session. Amber…why are you saying something different now…? You were pleading with me earlier to forgive you for using me to cover up for your deeds….” She paused as fake tears slipped down her eyes. “And I forgave you, you promised never to do it again, so why are u doing this again…?” She asked, her tone croaky with fake tears as my eyes litted up in amusement. The
CHAPTER 59: AMBER'S POV I shut my eyes close as hot tears ran down my cheeks. I was slowly loosing hope, the more I thought about how Brandon threatened me last night, the more I lost hope as I became helpless. “And who says we won't believe you…?” Aramis asked, tilting his head slightly as I rose my head up. His intense gaze was boring deep into my soul as I averted my gaze, taking my lips in as usual as I began fiddling with my nails. I always felt nervous around them as memories of how he caged me in the kitchen flashed through my head in a split second. I almost blushed but I restrained myself, he claimed that he just found a pickle on my hair. They was nothing so special about that, a part of my heart seemed to shatter at that thought.“You all find it hard to believe any thing I say and I've got no proof, all what I utter seems like a lie so I've got no choice than to just admit it. But I'm promising you that it won't happen again. I won't step out at night anymore. Please d
CHAPTER 58: AMBER'S POVI lay on the cold floor as I watched as Diana lips quivered slightly. The triplets were really angered by Alpha Gerald's visit and they knew he couldn't just pay them a visit out of the blues. And they were sure that Diana might have informed him about this. Well, they guessed right because she was actually the one who informed him about it.“Have you suddenly gone deaf…?” Joey roared in rage, his jaw clinching as his eyes twitched. Diana flinched, avoiding his ruthless gaze as she fiddled with her nails. Inwardly, I loved the way she trembled in their presence but I was no different from her, mine was much worse.“I informed June about it.” Diana suddenly blurted out, as she fluttered her eyes close, tears streaming down her face. She knew the triplets weren't going to take this easy on her.“How dare you…?” Brandon muttered in a low but dangerous tone as Diana took in her lips.“You said you were going to torture her until she begs for death and she was al
