Liana's POV

I didn't miss the groan that slid past my lips, even before I peeled my eyes open. My head was on fire, and it felt like every breath I took would very will be my last. Heat flared up inside and all around me, and despite how hot it was, I wasn't sure it was intense enough to spur me into getting up quickly. At this point, even if I tried to, I wasn't sure I would be able to do it.

Pain shot up my arms and legs, but what made it all the more worse was the fact that I wasn't even sure I could move any of my limbs. It felt like a chore, and I hated those.

“You can do this.” I muttered to myself. It could very well be a lie, but I wasn't even in the right frame of mind to think about anything else. “You can do this.”

Slowly, and wotg great difficulty, I slowly peeled my eyes open. Black spots clouded my vision first and I blinked back a couple of times. It took a while, but eventually, everything started to take shape in front of me. Hazy structures and forms buzzed aro

  • Mated To The Alpha King   Chapter 107

Chapter 107Liana's POV I didn't want to believe it. I didn't want to listen to the man that was standing in front of me. I tried to resist, but it didn't work.“Please Liana.” Kieran's words broke through my thoughts. I turned to him, and the first thing I noticed were the guilt in his eyes. “I'm sorry. I know I don't deserve your forgiveness, but please. I really didn't mean to. You know I would never hurt you on purpose.” I didn't want to admit it, but he was right. Kieran had never failed to express how much he cared for me and how he was only interested in things that would make me happy. He'd gone out of his way countless times to make sure I was okay. Right from saving me from those men, and even down to the mundane things. He only did things with me in mind, and would agree to certain stuff, all because I asked. There was no way a man as thoughtful as he was, would just want to throw it all into the wind, right? I hoped. “Please, Liana.” He took my hands in his, and I

  • Mated To The Alpha King   Chapter 105

Liana's POV I'd always believed in miracles, but sometimes, a small part of me couldn't help but doubt it's potency sometimes. I was aware that a lot of people believed in it,and I did too, but one could say they were various levels to the kind of beliefs they had. For example, I didn't believe in last minute miracles, but somehow, that was the one way the moon goddess had decided to save me from my impending doom. It had all happened so fast that if I wasn't there to witness it, I probably wouldn't have believed it even happened. One minute Ryle was on top of me and pressing sloppy and disgusting kisses against my skin, and the next, someone had burst into the shabby building he'd called a house and a prison for me. I wasn't expecting any of that to happen, but when I said Kieran was the last person I thought was going to find us, I definitely wasn't lying. The moment he'd kicked the doors right off its hinges , we were both rooted in our spots, like his presence had forced us

  • Mated To The Alpha King   Chapter 103

Liana's POV The forest was deserted, and even though deep down I knew wandering around by this time was dangerous, I didn't dare turn back. I couldn't even stop, even if I wanted to. Panic settled in the pit of my stomach, but I tried my level best to not focus on it. Instead, I chanted and muttered words to myself to make me feel better. “You can do this.” I murmured underneath my breath. “You can do this. Just keep walking as if nothing else matters.”The easy part was saying it,and the hard part? Actually believing it. The sound of twigs crushing underneath my boots sent chills and panic down my spine. With each step I took, I felt I was this close to running into more trouble. I also couldn't shake off the fact that I was being watched. Call it paranoia or whatever, all I knew was I wasn't going to feel the least bit better, until I got out of this damned palace. The forest loomed above and around me, and with each branch I kicked out of the way, I couldn't help but feel like

  • Mated To The Alpha King   Chapter 102

Liana's POV A small groan slid past my lips as I slowly stirred awake. The scene in front of me didn't clear out immediately, and I wasn't quite sure if it had anything to do with the incessant throbbing hitting at the back of my head. Pain pulsed around my skull, and with how intense it was, I wouldn't be surprised if my brain broke off into a million tiny pieces, right this moment. I blinked back a couple of times, but it did nothing to clear out anything. My vision was still hazy, and my brain was literally on fire. What the hell was going on? I didn't have any answers, but I wasn't going to sit back and not do anything because of that. I tried to turn to my side, but I barely got anywhere as a sharp pain burst from the base of my throat. It was fiery hot, like whatever that was, had been waiting for me to turn my next. I wasn't even able to get far as the pain held me rooted to my spot, but that wasn't all. My body couldn't move either, why? Because something was stopping me
